  1. Glad to have you in this lovely fandom! And have a great time, here where the desire to shank Amaram and Sadeas is perfectly normal also, if you want to shout someone out, put an @ in front of their username
  2. You know you're a Sanderfan when your most used line in small talk is "you should read *insert Cosmere book here*"
  3. @AonEne, I admit to having out loud rapped the Odium rap
  4. I concur wholeheartedly. Also, @Ashspren, thanks for putting this together. It's been super fun!
  5. This has been the most fun I've had in weeks! Also shamelessly voted for myself.
  6. Bravo @Ashspren, it's about time that Elantris got some love here!
  7. This is a difficult question to answer. I always read his books first, but I often listen to his books for various rereads. Particularly on long road trips, since reading in the car makes me super carsick
  8. Yeah. The docks shook me pretty bad. Particularly since she was a fave of mine.
  9. Yo, I'm Szeth-son-son-Vallano, the Assassin in White, Stonewalkin' in the east, where the men can't write. Yo, Susebron you sitting up there as the God King, but killing your type, it's kinda my thing. Yes slayin kings is sort of my speciality, and I see through your supposed divinity. Hey there Vivenna, we've never met, but I know all about ya, cause my sword taught me a bit. I know you took some Breaths, and I know something of heresy, but I killed lots of kings, so your's is lacking in severity. Vin, a street urchin without too many friends. You think you're pretty cool? Well better think again! You got iconic outfits? I got that too, I could do anything better than you! You can burn all the metals, think being Mistborn is pretty cool? Well I trained with all ten surges, so where does that leave you? Yeah I'm Szeth-son-son-Vallano, ain't a Truthless no more, cause with this rap battle I'm gonna settle the score!
  10. @ladymxdnight, Welcome! I too got pushed to joining via Shardcast, and let me tell you, this forum is one of the best places on the internet. Also, avoid the cookies, or any other baked goods, as they tend to contain Hemalurgic spikes.
  11. Hey Guys! I'm hope! You know you're a Sanderfan when you cried tears of joy as you held OB for the first time.
  12. Yeah, that's book 5. I really enjoyed it, but the ending shook me.
  13. @StrikerEZ, I'm also going through the series for the first time right now, and you can do it! the "Slump" isn't too bad when you're reading in rapid succession. I also am a huge Perrin fan, and sadly his arc is the one that suffers the most during the slump. Fires of Heaven is gonna blow you away.
  14. This whole picture is absolutely hilarious
  15. I am personally of the belief that whether you are considered Harmony's "Ruin" or "Preservation" depends on the actions of the given individual in any given moment. So one day you might be Ruin, then the next Preservation, or even within the span of hours.
  16. If you do find something suitable, let me know. I'm a major league foodie, and food from fantasy books is always cool to try out
  17. Not at all! this made my day!
  18. Yes, but the current societal denotation of 'legit' is equivalent to the dictionary definition of awesome. Vindication. You know you're a Sanderfan when you think of the gun when you use the word Vindication
  19. And woke the Nameless Fear? (being the fact that you have knowledge that you cannot share?) Also, "Nameless fear" sounds like something a standard Rosharan would use to refer to an Unmade
  20. Same! TLM is going to be legit!
  21. I second this motion. You know you're a Sanderfan when you convince your father (who doesn't read fantasy) to read The Emperor's Soul with a passionate argument that it isn't fantasy, but rather a book about the nature of the human soul, and the nature of art.
  22. So Brandon's site just posted a more in depth article on this signing- I recommend checking it out. Apparently the Grand Teton Mall Barnes and Noble will be on site with Leatherbound editions, and any purchase (of one of Brandon's works) will donate some money to his Lightweaver Foundation- So Brandon books+ Charity= awesome.
