  1. Of course! Dalinar is the Shard of gaming engines! also, #DadShard
  2. I was primarily joking as well, so we're good.
  3. So I finally received my Leatherbound TFE. Tis' in fact the crown jewel of my entire bookshelf. Thanks y'all for your advice, it was a worthwhile purchase.
  4. Also, on this week's Shardcast, Cosmere fans get pedantic (gasp, plot twist s/), and the cosmere-wide ramifications of cuddling seons are discussed. (and now I kinda want a seon plush)
  5. I like TV, I like the Dark One pitch, Brandon's hyped=get hype for Dark One
  6. I saw the title "Animal takes up Shard" and immediately thought of the Muppet... that could be interesting/incredibly deadly
  7. Yes please! we'll show it on the Cosmere Food Network!
  8. While I agree with your comments on Hollywood tending to whitewash stuff, and not wanting our beloved cosmere to get bogged down by that, I don't want the ethnicity of the characters to keep them from an actor who can really nail the unique, complicated characters that make Brandon's works and worlds feel alive.
  9. I've already posted my thoughts on this on a specifically SA topic, but I personally would prefer that the actors chosen can really play the characters well, rather than being an ethnic or visual match for the characters. For example, Kaladin's actor should be able to play the part of Kaladin first, rather than going on a Visual standpoint for casting him. If the stars align, and the person who can play Kaladin also happens to look an ethnic or visual match, then great. Mistborn has a great chance of being a good film, the premise of TFE is basically Ocean's Eleven mixed with LOTR- both incredibly popular films- and I feel that some of the more martial arts-inspired fight scenes could work really well in a visual medium.
  10. Ingenuity truly is spicy, and I love spicy food...
  11. Definitely Harry Potter, and then Tolkien's Legendarium, and I became super invested into that, I then just meandered my way to TWoK, and devoured it.
  12. That just put a smile on my face. Also, I loved BoTW, It and Mario Odyssey are two of my favorite games of recent years.
  13. @MarShadow, I personally really enjoyed it. It's a nice turn-based RPG, with what seems like the makings of a good story. What with it being a free demo, I would definitely recommend it.
  14. Yeah, unless you enjoy looking like a psychopath, I'd avoid earrings altogether (Wouldn't want Ruin in your head)
  15. Cool! I'm definitely gonna pick it up then!
  16. Seeing as how the demo for the new JRPG "Octopath Traveler" has been out for a few days now, I thought I'd start up a discussion topic for it. I'm a proud Cyrus starter, and have since met Ophilia and had her join my quest to find a stolen tome. I am a big fan of the "Breaking" system, and it flows really nicely in battle. Path actions are also a really cool feature, which really makes each playable character feel more unique, and like they really contribute to the overall team dynamic. The art style is also really cool, blending old with new in a crazy and creative way. So, yeah, discuss away!
  17. I thank you for your thoughts, @Green Hoodie Mistborn I just didn't have anyone around to really get a review from. As a purely physical reader, I think it'll be worth it. (Also, I love the image in your Sig)
  18. I really like this idea, we already have seen that the surges don't work exactly the same across the different orders (except for Gravitation, which works exactly the same in the Skybreakers as it does in Windrunners based on what we've seen.) So I could see Willshaper Cohesion working like emotional allomancy, and maybe help one certain Listener with getting her people to forsake Odium?
  19. But Moash/Vyre could easily become Odium's champion, and I feel like Odium is grooming him for that specific purpose, what with killing Jezrien with his Hemalurgy-but-not-Hemalurgy Voodoo knife
  20. Pretty sure that there is already a topic for dream-casting SA, but I personally have the opinion that the actors should be able to pull off the characters, even at the expense of looking Alethi. I agree with the Sherlock style episode length.
  21. Would anyone who has one of the leatherbound editions, specifically TFE or Elantris be willing to give their thoughts on whether or not they're worth the $100 price tag?
  22. Could you call this episode a "Passion" project?
