Cool! Thanks man. So glad that JRPG's have been opened to me

I particularly enjoyed the emphasis on the story, and the turn-based combat system (I also really loved the characters, but pretty sure FE won't have them)

Unpopular Brandon Sanderson Opinions
Wyndlerunner replied to not an Evil Librarian's topic in General Brandon Discussion
I hope this isn't antagonistic, but I'm highly curious as to what you do enjoy about Sanderson. -
I want both Soren and Claudia at least somewhat redeemed

Where do you get your books and why?
Wyndlerunner replied to chandleroo1's topic in General Brandon Discussion
Physical books all the way, but I also enjoy audiobooks, particularly if you have talented narrators leading the project. (Brandon's books in particular tend to have stellar narrators) Most of the time I go physical, because I need to be holding it, it feels right to turn the pages, and also new book smell. (Also carrying around a physical copy of Oatbringer is far more impressive to most people than an e-book copy of Oathbringer) -

Access to Dragonsteel Prime
Wyndlerunner replied to TheFoxQR's topic in Sanderson Curiosities & Unpublished Works
So, during a tour that I took through Special Collections, I asked about Dragonsteel specifically, and the fellow who was giving the tour said that Brandon has asked them not to have it publicly available without permission from himself. Whether or not this is entirely accurate, I am unsure, but I lean on the side of it being truthful -
Amazon Greenlights Season One of The Wheel of Time
Wyndlerunner replied to Jofwu's topic in The Wheel of Time
Go to Rafe Judkin's twitter account, and just scroll through and look at posts marked #wotwednseday. The tweets that I'm particularly referencing are pictures of the scripts. The script for episode 4: The Dragon Reborn, is backlit by candles, allowing us to see episode 6's title through the paper and it is "The Flame of Tar Valon" -

You Know You're a Sanderfan When...
Wyndlerunner replied to Shardbearer's topic in General Brandon Discussion
My best wishes in pursuing that relationship! -
Is Fire Emblem worth getting into? I'm fairly unwise to the ways of JRPG's- I stayed away because I don't enjoy anime. However, I really loved Octopath Traveler for the Switch (If my 100+ hours of gameplay say anything), so Fire Emblem intrigues me to say the least.

Amazon Greenlights Season One of The Wheel of Time
Wyndlerunner replied to Jofwu's topic in The Wheel of Time
Well, given some of Rafe's WoT Wednesday tweets, I think it might be judicious to assume that books 1-2 will be consolidated as season 1. I can honestly see the reasons behind doing it as well: If worst comes to worst, and the show is not renewed for future seasons (Light I hope that doesn't happen), I just don't see EotW working as a complete story, whereas EotW combined with TGH provides a more solid conclusion, that could be left as the end of the show, without it feeling unfinished. -

I think Vivenna is the perfect example of the dark side of religious piety- almost a cautionary tale. I think it's all well and good to hold strong to religious convictions, to believe that you have found the one truth, but it's another thing entirely to let that lead to hatred. Vivenna has crossed that line, and I feel it will be a major point for her character arc going forward

But what if you had the Feruchemical symbols on them? Also, Bendalloy is toxic?
-
Well, Sazed did speak openly against the actions of the Synod, which makes him pretty discordant Pre-Ascension. (I also couldn't bear it if Sazed were to become a villainous force. Not the bean!)

Ever since the "Cosmere the Musical" thread, and the "Do you wanna kill some evil?" song parody, Nightblood has sounded like young Anna from Frozen

Stormlight Adaptation Challenges
Wyndlerunner replied to Child of Hodor's topic in Stormlight Archive
Mayhaps a Gennedy T. (can't spell his last name) sort of animation style would work. -
Healthy relationship is where I'm leaning (she obviously trusts him a great deal, to give him command of the search for Callum and Ezran) but of course that's just what I think

Cool! That was just the sort of thing I was thinking of. Also one with the crown and the tower, for quintessential Kholin Cosplay

Somehow, I feel like Amaya and Gren are already a thing. Just feels right. (and with my very minimal experience with deaf people, their interpreter tends to be someone close to them)
