Rashan stood, following the man outside of the bar, waving goodbye to Kothar as they entered the busy and bustling streets. "I have a little room in the Augur Inn," Rashan said to Tevarah. "But nothing too fancy. You say we need supplies. Where do we get them from?"

Rashan faltered. Research? All it had taken for a high ranked Ghostblood to find out what Rashan had been looking for for years was research? My his stare, Rashan knew Tevarah wasn't lying. He did know where the gang who had murdered his family was. He was going to help Rashan kill them. Rashan looked up, hopeful, to the man standing in front of him. Tonight, both their lives changed. "When do we start?" He said with a grin.

Rashan charged. It was all over in a second, even to Rashan. Steel made you fast, but it didn't make your reflexes fast too. So Rashan had no way of preparing what he saw next. His opponent, suddenly exploding in stormlight. Mist, emanating from them, swirling around. A wave of emotions, like a wall, trying to stop him but unable to. A sharp pull on Rashan, towards his enemy. His enemy looked much better, the looked refreshed, healed, in peace. Perhaps they thought they could survive this, Rashan thought. Perhaps they had another trick to deal with him, another magic, another hex, another spectre. Who knew, maybe they would magically disappear and let Rashan crash into the wall. But his enemy didn't do any of that. They didn't magically disappear, they didn't cast a spell or curse on Rashan. No. Now that Rashan was closer, he could see something else in his opponent's face. His enemy didn't look assured more than they looked resigned, welcoming death, eyes closed. Challenging it. Rashan hit top speed as he collided with his opponent. His sword hit first, as it was being held in front of him when he ran, it's straight aluminium encased blade stabbing easily right through his opponent, like a skewer to the chest. His body hit second, the full force of his blow beginning to show. And his momentum hit third, launching both assailants to the far corners of the arena in a hit so hard it could be heard outside the arena, even amongst the angst chatter. Rashan wasn't flung as much as his enemy, who has been transferred most of the kinetic energy, but he still hurt deeply, clutching the arm that'd been burnt of his. Where was his sword? Scouting the arena, Rashan managed to see someone in the distance. A body. His opponent. Though laying down, they were still alive, Rashan's sword still completely piercing their body. Zipping through the air at a slight limp, Rashan arrived at the site. Placing his foot on the pommel of the pierced blade, Rashan pressed down, further hurting his opponent and pinning them to the sandy ground vis the sword. Then, Rashan twisted the sword inside of his enemy, hoping he would finally get the killing blow now.

People you wouldn't want to meet in a dark alley
I think I am here. replied to Voidus's topic in The Alleyverse
Oddly enough, and I say this with absolute truth, we don't actually have a contract on Ark yet. It's on our to-do list next to laundry. -

Yeah, those darned Eldritch Abominations. Speaking of them, have you ever tried to spike them? Well, it's not really a good plan unless it's used. So why don't you use it on @Ark1002? It would save the Ghostbloods the hassle. -

Rashan knocked his opponent down with a left hook. Funny, that. Despite the whole battle, he still didn't know his enemy's name. Perhaps it was better that way, taking away the humanity from who you were fighting. Perhaps it wasn't. His opponent lunged, taking Rashan by one arm. Hey, that arm was where his second emergency steelmind was! As Rashan tried frantically to free himself of the grip, he realised his opponent was as steady as a statue, not moving despite Tashans attempts to escape his grip. As his enemy's grip grew tighter, it also grew warmer, starting lukewarm, than increasing exponentially, beginning to melt Rashan's steelmind. Grunting, Rashan decided to try another way to get out of his opponents grip. If his enemy succeeded in fully melting Rashan's steelmind, the Investiture inside of it would be hard to access, so Rashan might as well use it now. In one go, Rashan emptied his second emergency steelmind, supertapping it into a barrage of punches that seemed to crack through the air, leaving vacuum behind them. He'd supertapped before, but usually just on his whole body. Now, however, Rashan focused his speed exclusively on his circled fists as they whipped through the air, transferring immense power to his opponent in those few seconds. His enemy had to stay close to melt his steelmind, and Rashan used that, hitting both the chest and the head with his hyperaccelerated fists. Eventually, the steelmind fully melted, it's liquid contents flowing off Rashan's arm onto the floor. It burned like damnation. "AAAHHHGGHHH!" Rashan yelled, much too the surprise of the audience. Molten metal was hot. They must have expected him to be one of those stoic heroes who didn't feel pain. Not Rashan. Rashan felt every. Last. Bit. His opponent seemed hurt too by the burning, though not as much. Moments later, both his and his opponents clothing also started burning. But while his opponent didn't seem to care about the fire, Rashan quickly layed on the ground and tapped steel, rolling through the sandy arena relatively quickly and extinguishing the fire before it could hurt nearly as much as the melted metal. Oh well. Rashan had one more emergency steelmind in addition too his primary one, hidden where none would know. As he stood up from the ground, covered in sand but not on fire, he noticed his opponent swaying, almost falling unconscious but trying not too. They appeared very distracted, to which Rashan used to his advantage. Tapping a very large portion of his last emergency steelmind, Rashan hurled himself at his opponent, taking out his sword, ready to strike. He wasn't supertapping, but he was going pretty storming fast. This is it, he thought. This should be the end of the duel.

Hearing Tevarah's words snapped something inside Rashan. He could feel his fists curling up. No one had known about his family. No one but him. No one had knew why he drank, except for him. But this person, the one staring him down right now, he knew all of that. Sucking in a bit of stormlight, Rashan felt the wine's effect fade off, leaving him sober as his memories came back to him, further enhancing his will. "Who?" Rashan asked, meeting Teverah's gaze. "Where? How?" He had to know.

Rashan looked down. That gaze, that stare, it brought Rashan out of his drink, and back into the real world. That stare... Rashan took a deep breath, and drank another cup of violet wine. Stepping off the table, he sat in his chair and rested his head on it instead. "Just let me drink in peace." He mumbled.

@Nathrangking Umm, 4 skymarks? What even is tallew? I'd have to say Roshar, pretty chill with a desolation every now and then. To read and maybe do something productive if I feel like it. Oooh, hard. Maybe a Whitespine, awesomely deadly but also not as noticeable as a Chasmfiend. Um, Kaladin. Lash me away please! Coke. Fight me. Um, I haven't read white sand but Kenton seems like a good guy to have, being a Sandmaster and all. Nightblood . Just kidding, Shallan. Interesting, and I'm going to go with Prometheus. What a legend. @Niteshado My name. Narcissistic, right? Nokia, peasant. Immortality. I can't stress how much I would want this power. Apple Sky ocean sapphire diamond blue, approximately 2.5 shades away from sky ocean sapphire shiny blue. Ooh, don't make me choose! Feruchemy seems the most useful in day to day activities. @The Harlem Worldhoppers Never. I rather value my IQ points, and besides, each IQ point I would lose would make me more stupid, and therefore more likely to press the button, making me more stupid and creating a cycle I can't co Finger sized legs. You can hide those. Atium. Though the copper would help me remember things, memory can be enhanced without magic means. Having atium, even a minute a day would be great, especially in situations where you really need it. You may take away my movies, but you shall never take away my music! Besides, movies have music too, and I wouldn't be too happy if every movie I watch has Allstar as its only soundtrack. As much as I hate to say it, the 50 000 dollars. I'll wait. duck sized horses. Fortunately I haven't been depressed, but it doesn't sound like the exact ideal situation. Lightweaver. Very convenient, and also, accomplishing my lifelong dream of mastering High Imperial! Noo. I wouldn't accept the situation even without the bane. Woah, that was a lot of questions! Thanks for asking! -
I can just imagine an immense nicroburst feedback loop and then focusing all that power on a Pulser. What would seem like mere moments to the Allomancer would be an incredibly amplified cadmium bubble, passing who-knows how many years in those moments. I can imagine a person seeing the Pulser really still, accidentally steeping into the bubble and travelling like 40 years into the future .

To be honest, though I like the ideas people have come up with, I'm kind of on the idea that each Shard has a spren named after it. Honourspren Cultivationspren Odiumspren Although this is probably because these are the three main Shards on Roshar, I still like the idea that somewhere, there are some Ruinspren and Preservationspren battling, or some Devotionspren or Dominionspren. Each Shard name is a force or emotion, so it makes sense for spren to be named on them, even if they share no connection to the actual Shard. Who knows, maybe there's even an Adonalsiumspren, though I doubt it.

Sensing the rock's silence, Rashan answered for him, slightly drunk. "He's gotta surge spikes haha, transformationing and transportationing hahaha! That's how I am squire. I don't know if he has the more of the spikes haha! Asa for meeee?" The topic of spikes suddenly snapped Rashan out of his stupor as the memories flooded him. "I have no spikes. Though they intrigue me, I still have...too much history with their like." Rashan took another glass of wine as he resumed to his laughing, forgetting what he had just said.

Sign me up as Itiah IV, a regular human who has found himself in the squabbles of the land. He constantly lived in the shadow of his highly accomplished father for decades, never being to match his success. Finally, Itiah IV took off, abandoning his father and venturing out to explore. He dislikes any mention of his family, yet still carries the family heirloom, a thick, leatherbound book. -
Rashan drunk the violet wine, and in addition to the root beer he’d been having, was finally able to get Rashan intoxicated. Finally, memories, traumas of what happened, they vanished, replaced by his drink. Maybe a couple more glasses and he wouldn’t be able to speak. That was how he prevented him telling his friends why he even got himself drunk. No one knew. They all thought Rashan was a drunk, just because he enjoyed violet wine. There was that, but nowadays, violet wine was the only thing that took his mind away from what happened. Poisonous thoughts, memories of things already happening, the wine washed it away. Rashan was far from the relaxed, happy man most thought he was, but pretending didn’t much effort. He stumbled into the private booth away from the barkeep, smiling at his two bosses as he entered. “Whaats uup,” he said, wine taking effect. “Why’d you get us a priiivvaaate booooth?”
