I have been summoned. I think. Ok, well the first thing you need to think is whether your actions affect anything. If they do, you exist. Right? I mean, if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be here typing this, therefore you must exist, because your actions have impact. But then again, how are you sure that this is actually an impact? What if I'm a figment of your imagination? In that case, you imagined this entire post, which means you really didn't affect anything. Which means you don't exist. It's like the Truman show. This entire website just might be your mind playing tricks on you. Maybe none of us actually exist, and we're just made to look like we do, all to fool you. But as another sentient human being (I think) I can safely tell you I do exist, and so I'm not a figmen tof your imagination. But then how do you know whether I'm telling the truth, or just telling you what you want to hear because of my innate programming to do so? You don't know, so its a matter of trust. Maybe your entire life is a simulation generated by you. But in that case, you'd still exist, its just that nothing else would. So proposal two: You're just a figment of my imagination. Think about it. I mean, I'm the only one who truly knows if I exist or not, so maybe this whole website, maybe my entire life is just my consciousness paying a big joke, and all of you are just simulations, like people in a dream. Characters in a dream don't exist in real life, do they? So maybe I'm in a coma or something and this is a big dream, so you don't exist. But you say you can think, so maybe its similar to a computer having an AI, where the characters in my complicate dream can think for themselves and ask questions like this. Which brings up a question (does AI exist? I think so). But proposal three: It's not you or me. Why do we matter? For all we know, we could be in the coma-dream of some journalist girl from China, or literally any one of the many coma-induced people on the planet. And we just think we can think, but we're really simulations that think we're smart. But then, if your just a character in some random person's dream, and I am too, do you still exist? Because even if we're just people in a dream, you're question still affected me. Who knows, maybe in the 'real' world you don't have an effect, if you're entire existence really is in some random dream, but you still cause an effect in the dream. Which opens up another a question. If we are all in a dream, but we still effect each other, does that mean we exist? Who cares if it doesn't effect the non-dream world, but we have an effect within this world, which means, that even if you don't exist in the real sense, you exist in another sense, which means the only way for you to not exist is if you were the only person in a dream, which isn't so, because I'm interacting with you. So either we both exist, or we both don't, and either way, you're question led to this answer, which means you definitively do exist, in some sense or the other. Tl;dr: You exist. I think. But if I don't exist either, does my thought really matter?

Era 3 Characters: -Already gave the Bio for Tars -Max (updated) -Alask: Same bio, just want to transfer it to next era. -New Character (Redatrick): -Lusk: If no one kills him by the end of the era I'm going to have him die in the timeskip due to liver failure.
-
Huh. I wonder why he’d do that...

Not me. I only think I am Joe. You know, there’s a pretty good chance (depending on the coin flips) that you’re going to be eliminated by next round, so I guess this gambit doesn’t really matter, because you’re going to die anyway, right? Even if this coin flip fails, the Good Guys are still going to get you. So really the only motive you have to trying to pile on me is to drag me down with you. You know, this reminds me of that situation where a bunch of Hazekillers are against a Mistborn, and collectively, they can take him down, but then he says. “If you all attack I die, but I guarantee the first person to step forward will die.” And so nobody steps forward, because nobody wants to be the ‘one’ that will die. This is sort of like that. You’re honestly better off to join the Allies so we can all win together than cause both of our deaths.

I know you’re Ballantain, too, Kidpen You probably think you’re going to attack me, so even if I’m defended I’ll die. Which is clever, but not clever enough. Anyway, now that we’ve established the Good Guys are going to win anyway, I guess it’s time to start trash-talking our opponents

No, I just have moral issues against defending people. I’m clearly Taylor Defense.

I like the defense idea. Leaves no room for failure or fighting back, unless they have Ballantain, in which case, we can’t really do anything about it anyway. You want to exchange?

Ok, I lied a bit when I said all my allies are dead. I got you guys! But also Drought, who I’ve got agreement not to kill each other with. So: The Allies A Joe in the Bush: Joseph Watson I think I am here: Pete Gazon Lumgol: Logmul of Sdrawk Droughtbringer: Matist Rist Vs. The Evil Guys xinoehp512: Rogiv Elandera: Tahrie Field Rathmaskal: Notath Reat Kidpen: Newt Scamander Which makes things a little more even, and if each of us attacks each of them, we could win, right? Especially if some of them are inactive.

A while ago I wrote half of some Alleyverse short story on gangsters, but I never completed it.
-
If you do this I’ll write another poem. And you get to choose the topic! What a bargain!
-
All of them? Go ahead! I’ll write a poem if you do (the stakes just got real).

Metallurgy and Investiture (New)
I think I am here. replied to old man moomba's topic in The Alleyverse
“I would say we walk in,” Alask said. “Easier that way. Plus, didn’t we kill most of the Dakhor people back at that fight? I don’t think they’d be in a place to ambush us. I say if we enter sneakily, that might be enough.” -
Straight to the point, I have reasonable information a Ballantain player wants to eliminate me, and I don’t want that to happen. So, I’ll offer an exchange of services. If someone protects me with a Line of Forbiddance, I can protect myself using the same, and survive. In exchange for this, I will protect you with a Line of Forbiddance when you think you need it. Its also worth noting when this protection thing is going I’m also protecting mysel, so I won’t be a threat.

"Can we see him?" Max proffered. "Our last visit was ended abruptly." You're not evil anymore?

"Um, we rescued him," Max coughed. "Sort of. Helped him get over that phase where he was a evil Epic that called himself Death. We were teleported out before we could fully see him be saved though." Max paused. Solace, he called over the link. You there. Is this guy holding you hostage or something?

Max blinked. "Wait, you're the priest?" That was a shock. Max didn't really like his priests pointing knives at him in the middle of abandoned waystops. "Also, you said you know fully who we are, even though you asked us to identify ourselves about five minutes ago." He let his arms drop. "And you know we don't want what you have because I honestly have no clue about what you have. Unless it's someone by the name of Solace, who we coincidentally are searching for. Heard of him?"

I wonder if he’ll be a mentor-type figure for another main-character.

Max turned back sharply at the sound of a voice. But not Solace’s. Softly Rioting trust, he extended his arms in a non-threatening posture, sticking a thumb to himself. “Max,” he said. He nodded towards Althea, not taking his eyes off the man. “And that’s my wife, Althea. We mean no harm, unless you do, of course.”
