  1. And the other squirrel. This squirrel, who had both an ability to break the fourth wall and an ability to see the future, announced that the next eleven posts will describe the types of animals that also felt anger.
  2. Naermen thought about Solaces words. The Alleyverse? Would she finally find the answers to her questions? "Voice thing," Naermen thought. "Can you teleport more than one person?" 'No.' the voice said. 'Just thinking about it almost brought down an Unbiased to slay me for being too overpowered,' "Darn," she thought. At least she had Nei'an's things. She hadn't been able to fight with the shock it gave her. Nei'an's aviar, Claw, squawked happily. "Is there a way to help them get to the Alleyverse?" she asked. 'Not unless they become my hosts as well,' the voice replied, somewhat smugly. Naermen sighed, turning to the others. "I assume you have a way out, Solace?"
  3. Naermen, hold her new sniper, was flying again, a glorious flight. Their destination was close enough to let Naermen see out into space as they traveled. She watched the beautiful stars wap around them, the sun casts a tremendous glow on the nearby satellites.... They started drifting. "What's happening?" Naermen asked. The beige mist immediately grew around her. 'No, no, NO!' the voice screamed. It was the first time Naermen had heard the voice sound so angry. Naermen flinched. 'What's wrong/" Naermen asked. 'ME!' the voice screamed. Naermen tried to calm it down. "What happened?" she asked in a soothing voice. 'I was too lax!' the voice said, the volume of its voice toning down at Naermen's calmness. 'Someone else teleported,' 'So what?" Naermen asked calmly. 'I use their same investiture,' the voice explained. 'Normally, this wouldn't happen, but in my carelessness... I allowed myself to be pulled towards their destination!' "Who's they?" Naermen asked. The voice dropped in volume dramatically. 'I don't know. But we're about to find out,' The glow faded into a shimmering cloud above Naermen's head, and she gasped. Three people dressed strangely were gathered around another body, one who didn't move. She didn't recognize any of them. But one of them was obviously in danger. "What can I do to help?" she asked, and all three heads swiveled towards her in shock.
  4. Naermen could think, couldn't breathe, couldn't move. Rhazien was alive? "Then..." Naermen said. She faltered, then tried again. "Then what in the Cosmere are we doing? Why are we going? I thought we established that he was a terrible person!" The mist seemed to sigh. 'I have certain... things I need to do. Promises I made. One of these involves going to the party,' Naermen was shaking with anger. "I have to attend a party being hosted by Nei'an's murderer because a strange beige mist I never asked for made promises? Why don't you just go?" The mist shook. 'It will be a good chance we need to take,' it said. "A chance for what?" Naermen asked. "A chance for Rhazien to see me, decide he liked Nei'an's coat, kill me, and take it?" 'No!' the mist said. 'I promise that at the first sign of danger I will get you out. but it will be a good opportunity to find teachers for you,' Naermen fell silent. "Fine," she said. "When is it?" 'I think,' said the mist, 'It'll be in a couple weeks,' Naermen frowned. "Then why are we leaving right now?" 'I thought,' the mist said, shaking off the slightly defensive tone it had adopted earlier in the conversation, 'That you should have a weapon. There aren't any allowed in the party itself, but if there is trouble, at least you can defend yourself if we're chased,' "What kind of weapon is it?" Naermen asked. 'See it yourself. I had the instructions given to a Rosharan Fabrisan. Let's see if you like it,' The flying feeling wore off completely, and once the mist evaporated into a cloud above her, Naermen could see her surroundings. She was in a small concrete room with a single table in the middle. Naermen approached the table, marveling at the masterpiece resting on top. It was long and made of a heavy material. Gemstones glowed inside of it. A long tube extended in front and a strange triangle-shaped device attached to the back. "What is it?" Naermen asked. 'On Earth,' the mist above her said with a tone of pride, 'They call it a sniper,'
  5. That's awesome!
  6. Then the narrators decided to re-write what happened so the Shards were never splintered. They, as narrators, could do that.
  7. This is an awesome idea! I hope it flourishes.
  8. *Sigh* I really hope you all realize that when I crack open your guild like a peanut in a vice, it will kinda hurt.
  9. Naermen was flying again, and they blessedly avoided that folding sensation she had experienced before. She had only got a glimpse of the world she has been sent to, but it frightened her. Mainly because she could tell it was the same place as Leya's house, only much, much different at the same time. They began to slow, and Naermen sighed in relief. she was still shaking, and while she trusted the beige mist, she didn't know what would happen to her as they zipped around places beyond the cosmere. "Where are we now?" Naermen asked aloud. "What mail?" 'An invitation,' the mist said into her mind. 'To a party,' Naermen paused. "A party?" she asked. 'Yes,' the voice said tersely. Naermen wondered why the mist would be tense. "Why do I care?" Naermen asked. 'Because...' the mist said, then paused. "What?" Naermen asked, pulling Nei'an's coat closer to her in suspense. 'It's being thrown... by Rhazien,' Naermen fell speechless.
  10. I wasn't offering them to you, mraize. i was offering them to Darth Woodrack, for advertising. You can count on the fact that the only time I'll give you something is if there is a fabrial explosive hidden inside.
  11. if you are interested in informants *clears throat* the rogues are happy to supply any that you need!
  12. Naermen just stood there. Before her was... desolation. Ruins. The vaguely familiar landscape in front of her was devastated. 'Yes...' came the voice from above. 'The Epics have rules for years now...' Naermen couldn't speak. couldn't move. She opened her mouth, but no sound came out. She cleared her throat, but before she could utter a word, the beige mist came around her once more. "what is it?" she asked into the mist. 'We,...' came the voice, sounding mistified*, 'Got mail,'
  13. I support this!
  14. But their waking up was unrelevant, because they were all promptly eaten by ghanderflaffles.
  15. Naermen collapsed, Soul having slammed into her. She groaned, watching Soul zip by. He must have Gravitation as well! "Two," Naermen thought, "can play this game," She had not touched Roshar's magic yet, so she absorbed the stormlight protected in her pockets feeling a brief tinge of pain as the stormlight seeped into her. She steadied herself, then altered her Gravitational pull, falling alongside the now vertical floor of the arena, falling after Soul. After Naermen added another Lashing, she caught up to Soul quickly, pulling out an obsidian dagger from Scadrial and thrusting it at Soul.
  16. Alrighty. Here's a curveball: <Hidden due to Oathbringer spoilers>
  17. The narrators yawned. "Don't worry," they said. "We have your entire life planned out. You'll experience a lot of drama and confusion, so you'd better get used to it," Edit: ninja'd.
  18. i was laughing for a good five minutes when I read that. I think I'll keep that around in my mind. It's a great joke.
  19. Naermen stood outside, not minding the soft trickle of rain falling from above, looking back through the doorway of the strange building. Leya stood inside, looking out at Naermen. Without another word, Naermen forced her gaze into the air above her head. "I'm ready," she said aloud. 'I know,' said the voice as Naermen's vision was interrupted by a mist of beige, 'That you already said goodbye, but you aren't just gonna leave, are you?' "I'm only going to learn my new abilities. I'll be back as soon as I can. We discussed this," The mist hummed as if that was exactly what it wanted Naermen to say out loud. And they disappeared, Naermen's own weight pulling her into the sky at fantastic speeds. "Where too now?" Naermen asked. 'Since we are in the area,' the voice replied, 'I'll take you to an Epic, so you can learn your Epic powers,' Naermen frowned. "So these powers will be my best?" The voice just chuckled, and everything went wrong. The world seemed to cave in on itself. Naermen felt like she was being pulled inside out, upside down, left, and right all at once. There was no pain, but it was still somehow excruciating. As far as her nerves knew, her head and feet were just pulled through a vortex in her stomach. Naermen opened her eyes.
  20. Naermen frowned. The vines had been virtually ineffective. Usually, those did more damage. Oh, well. She had great banes, but also great boons. She switched investiture entirely, as that was her curse, and teleported behind her opponent, Soul. She then opened a tight drawstring bad on her hip and commanded the sand within to strike.
