  1. oh.... now i get it.... Then, of course, as all things do when a paradox is confronted, the entire Universe blew up. Which was a decidedly worst fate than being consumed.
  2. YAAAAAAAY!!!
  3. Ioc started to run through a list of places where it could obtain a Mechanical Hound. 'Maybe... earth?' said Hippocampus. 'I mean, they're the ones who made them,' 'I know, but if I teleport that far, then go through dimensions until I find a Mechanical Hound, it may come across as overpowered,' said Subconscious. 'Darn. Maybe with fabrials?' said Hippocampus. 'Perhaps,' said Association. "Darn," Ioc said aloud. "This might be hard,"
  4. lenses are so fun.
  5. In order to show his appreciation for the Grandmaster, the Spinosaurus ate everything in the entire Universe. Including, of course, the Grandmaster.
  6. "Thanks!" Ioc said to Yzabet. "I might need those soon. however, feel free to take your time. You see, I'm trying to wear a circle into the ground by walking in one over and over again until my feet fall off. Nice meeting you!" 'Smooooooth,' said Prefrontal Cortex. 'If you say that one more time, I'm going to delete you,' said Subconscious. 'Guys, stop bickering. We're going in the circle cycle again!' said Association. 'Yay!' And Ioc began once more to walk in a tight circle.
  7. "Yeah, I'm fine," said Ioc, pulling its arm free from the man's grasp and fell still as the arm continues to punch Ioc's face. Ioc needed to concentrate so it didn't miss the answer from Yzabet.
  8. Ioc was thinking. It didn't allow it's thought to become known to the public ( which is why they are not recorded here) but let's just say Ioc was thinking hard. There was a terrible debate going on between Amygdala and Prefrontal Cortex, so the Subconscious just ignored it. "Ya know," Ioc said the patch of air beside it, "I could go for a Mechanical Hound. Those things are lit," The patch of air, being a patch of air, didn't respond. Ioc sighed. "I was hoping you'd be an invisible person or something. But it seems you're just a patch of air,' ======= Nei'an vibrated with rage from where he sat next to Ioc in the Cognitive Realm. "I AM HERE, YOU MORON! HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE CALLED A PATCH OF AIR?"
  9. Thankfully, Narrator Gancho didn't feel regret for long. Mainly because they all blew up.
  10. Narrator Gancho was revived as a ghanderflaffle. Don't think I've forgotten about blowing up.
  11. Ioc smiled, glad to have sorted things out, then broke its cycle... its circle... 'Hey, that's pretty cool!' said Association Cortex. 'The cycle circle! How do we get a trademark?' 'I'm ignoring you for now,' said Subconscious, 'But I'll get back to you. Right not I need some snazzy new clothes,' "Excuse me," said Ioc as it walked up to the one called Yzabet. "Where exactly can I get some snazzy new clothes?" 'Smooooth,' said Prefrontal Cortex. 'Now everyone's gonna think you're crazy,' 'About that,' said Subconscious, 'I'm pretty sure we just spent the last two hours walking around in circles,' 'We won't be able to get respect if your actions are deemed as 'Socially Unacceptable', so I suggest we change our approach,' replied Prefrontal Cortex. Somatosensory Cortex proceeded to beat the brains out of Prefrontal Cortex. However, this involved moving Ioc's arms, putting them into fists, then punching Ioc's face over and over, which may have been deemed 'Socially Unacceptable'. 'OW!!!!!' said Somatosensory Cortex, then punched again. 'OW!!!!' 'Stop it, you idiot! You're not actually hitting me! You're the only one who can feel pain!' said Prefrontal Cortex. 'OW!!!!!' said Somatosensory Cortex. 'I'm not sure this is helping...' said Amygdala. 'Now you wanna stop?' said Association Cortex. 'Show some consistency, man!' 'I'm sorry. I was all for it before 'it' involved punching myself!' said Amygdala. 'Technically,' said Thalamus, 'Somatosensory is punching us, we're not punching ourselves,' 'Guy's,' said Hippocampus, 'Aren't we in the middle of a conversation or something?' 'OW!!!!!' said Somatosensory Cortex. Wham. Another hit. 'OW!!!!!!' Subconscious sighed, then pressed mute on all of them. "Can you help us?" asked Ioc.
  12. Then imploded. However, this action was made unrelevant for that fact that Bit exploded again afterwards.
  13. Ioc started walking in circles. It could understand the map, of course, but it chose not to follow it. Ioc liked circles. maybe if it walked long enough, it would wear a circle into the floor. Ioc started humming. It was content. 'You realize,' said Somatosensory Cortex, 'That you will wear your feet away before you wear away the cobblestones, right?' 'Huh,' said Subconscious. 'Wear. You're right. I do need new clothes,' 'I'm not sure that's what he meant...' said Prefrontal Cortex. 'I'm sure it's not,' said Amygdala. 'Let's go!'
  14. And exploded. All shameful things explode, you see.
  15. Ioc was done. The voices were awake. And it was being driven crazy. 'Breath. Your breathing pace is increasing, as is your blood pressure. Just breath,' said Medulla. 'You are currently fully conscious and stipulated,' said Reticular Formation. 'You are currently stumbling over your step. You have tripped. Oh dear,' said Thalamus. 'PAIN! OW!!!' said Primary Somatosensory Cortex. 'Sorry about that. I was distracted. I should have helped,' said Cerebellum. 'You don't seem to have a history tripping randomly. What's the matter?' said Hippocampus. 'We distract you. Leave us behind. Destroy us!' said Amygdala. 'You seem to be experiencing immense fatigue, yet you are not in need of sleep. Association, can you help with this?' asked Hypothalamus. 'It seems the presence of so many conflicting voices in distracting you. You must make a choice that will result in our survival and yours,' said Association Cortex. 'I'm not sure our presence is actually helping. You must weigh the pros and cons. I suggest you destroy us. We are only a hindrance, and besides, we don't actually exist outside of your mind, so I don't mind dying. Your survival is more important,' said Prefrontal Cortex. Ioc was losing its mind. Actually, its mind was fine, but it was not. Ioc picked itself off the ground, shaking its head. It needed a way to communicate with them. Just thinking to them worked, as he controlled them, but it didn't feel as though he could interact with them. Which was dumb, because he could just force them to interact with him. Then, it had an idea and closed its eyes. 'Shut up,' said the Almighty Subconscious. 'You are going to stay alive and help me out and you are going to like it!!!!' And that was that.
  16. Ioc finally finished forming the Amygdala, giving it a personality, voice, and false intelligence. 'Come on,' it said immediately. 'You have other personalities to make up,' 'Maybe,' said Prefrontal Cortex, 'You might want to wait before your urge to finish up forces your mind to hurry, and thus give several different personalities the same base. Each one deserves careful thought and consideration,' 'This is true,' said Association Cortex and Hippocampus in unison. 'It should be obvious that your previous behavior marks fast work as terrible work,' 'I need a way to answer them,' Ioc thought. 'That'll do,' said Amygdala. 'Also, you need to hurry. There's not much time,' 'Huh,' Ioc thought. 'I can speak with them through my mind,' Everyone gave it a blank stare. 'Of course, you can,' said Association Cortex. 'we are in your mind,' 'Gotcha,' said Ioc. 'This'll come in hand,' Hippocampus slapped his forehead with his hand.
  17. Ioc materialized in the Waystop, smiling slightly. 'Spacious, humid, enjoyable...' said Thalamus. 'I reason that this is a good place to stop,' said Association Cortex. 'Well,' said Subconscious, 'If two of you agree that fast, we might as well stay,'
  18. Ioc suddenly began to feel sad.
  19. Ioc began developing the voices. It decided on several brain parts, including the prefrontal cortex, the amygdala, the thalamus, and several more to be it's advisers. Ioc knew there was much more to the brain than it's invented personalities, but Ioc knew it couldn't include all of them. Brains in general were just so complex. So, Ioc just chose the functions that could be easily defined by a talking voice. The prefrontal cortex to suggest restraint, the amygdala to suggest action, and the thalamus to keep it informed on the sensory workings of it's body. Ioc wished it could just separate it'm mind into different entities entirely, but it knew that the voices would only speak after it's subconscious already knew everything they were going to say. Ioc concentrated. How would it put a personality to the hippocampus, or the cerebellum? Those didn't have obvious answers, because if Ioc knew everything right off the bat, it would be too powerful. Ioc would have to think hard, maybe with the help of some of the easier voices... Ioc frowned, then resumed whistling. It had been standing still for over an hour. Ioc hovered over the sea, then began to glow beige as it considered an option. There was one being in the Cosmere who might have an idea of different personas that could be used for some of the harder brain functions... ========Five minutes later, the Cognitive Realm======== "You want me to do what?" Nei'an asked incredulously at the glowing beige figure.
  20. My character's theme is, at some times, the Cantina Band song, and at other times, the song from the Dunkirk sountrack (number 11) 'The Oil,'
