  1. (Larkins still win the thread though. Also, I forgot Elhokar had a paperweight made of a crystal-encased larkin corpse. Why.)
  2. They're not even the cutest thing on Roshar, much less in the whole cosmere. Larkins4Lyfe
  3. "Nerin might have paid, but that's no guarantee of anything when things get like this. Been through it enough times with one of my old friends. Sometimes it can make the situation worse, power or no power. People, especially gangs, do things irrationally sometimes. Especially in a shake-up." The latter half of what she said registered with him then, and he sighed, shoulders relaxing a little. "At least they're here. I'm your best bet of staving off anything like that if it does happen, especially if it's the Farriers." He just had to hope he would be enough. He was not confident in that. Not with what they could do. With who they could bring. Lance worried.
  4. "Then there's a very real possibility it's no longer there either. At least no as anything other than a burnt-out husk. If no one was there, we might be better off. Where are the others?"
  5. I hacked my brain to solve this stuff. I don't recommend it, since I have been told retroactively that I may have taken years off my life doing what I did, but at least it worked.
  6. Cadet is silver, pilot is gold.
  7. "Everyone says there's not much anywhere worth stealing, but there always is. If you look for it enough." Lance privately worried about the possibility of the Parlor getting decimated as well. Even if they had left someone behind, depending on who they were and where the threat was coming from, it may not have been enough. "You were just at the parlor, yes? Is there anyone left there? That's step one in any plan we may have." Lance did his best to keep his face placid instead of displaying his tension to the world. He was drawn tighter than a bowstring, and the wrong answer could just make him snap.
  8. I think it was just because Hoid really wanted Rosharan Lightweaving.
  9. Harmony probably told him at some point. Kandra would have difficulties leaving, so while he was trying to figure that whole thing out, he probably sent some exploration-minded humans off-world, with Felt likely among them.
  10. Trains would be theoretically ideal, especially if you could make it to where the steam of the engine has a place to condense back into water, since then you have easy water supplies. Then, each time you stop by Roshar, pick up some Soulcast coal and you're good.
  11. "Yeah. Let's -" Lance heard a skitter and leaped backwards, fearing an attack, before he noticed one of the parlor-people whose name he didn't recall at the moment waving at him. "Never mind. Looks like others are here. We can come back and loot later." He shot a thumbs-up to the pebble-thrower and motioned for her to come down. Hopefully with whoever else she brought. There's no way she came alone. @Sorana@Ookla the Maybe-Existent@ZincAboutIt@Dr. Dapper
  12. I know you can do it from one piece of a set, but a piece of a piece is more what I'm talking about. One of the shattered fragments. Would it retain enough Connection to the rest (or have the ability to store enough Stormlight in it to do this) to regrow?
  13. Wasn't it destroyed with Amaram's whole transformation thing obliterating the pieces? Not sure if you could grow it back from an incomplete chunk of one section.
  14. It's stated very clearly. The entire initial post is gone, and now there's only the text 'There is no tavern,' or something to that effect. It's also mentioned repeatedly in the thread itself. There is not much more that I can do to be more clear that it's inactive except hide the entire thread. Now that's an idea.
  15. "Who knows? But they must have left something. These kinds never clean up after themselves properly," Lance sighed. Not that I have room to be talking.
  16. "The exit is right there. I'm ready to leave any time you are, unless you want to loot something else they may have left behind." Lance was practically daring him to hunt down another storage, and he let it show in his tone and his smirk.
  17. "Makes sense to me." Kazil set off toward the area the shouts may have come from, Clare in tow, heading into the nearby residential areas. "Should be around here somewhere, yeah? Tell me if you see something."
  18. Alleycough
  19. Kazil nodded. "Yeah. We can try. Know what direction it came from?"
  20. I mean theoretically, perhaps, but she hasn't been shown to be eating any of the hard shells and stuff to know one way or the other, and I think something like that would have been noted.
  21. Kazil smiled gently. She doesn't want to go back. Who am I to criticize? I took my first chance to get away too. "Alright. Let's just enjoy these for now."
