Character 1. She's helpful and a teacher. The fall to being a vessel would corrupt that and make the impact more potent. I'm a sucker for causing character suffering.

Lance nodded. "Swords. So archaic. And not nearly as fun as a solid wood cane."
-
Lance looked around for a second and spotted a chest a short distance away. There's no chance they left our stuff that close. But, as it turned out, they absolutely had. Lance opened the chest to find both of his dueling canes and, fortunately, his coat with its vials still intact. Thank Harmony for stupid henchmen. Or lazy henchmen. He threw his mistcoat on, downed a vial's worth from his flask and grinned. Time for some fun. As the first group of hazekillers ran into the room, he threw up a speed bubble, Pulling on the metal doorknob behind them to hurtle the length towards them, meeting them with twin canes to the forehead before they could react. He dropped the bubble and sprinted toward the other group, the ones he couldn't catch in the initial bubble and cracking the knees of the first two. He took a cane to the back before he could turn around, but bore that blow and jabbed directly into the solar plexus of his attacker, knocking the wind from them, then spun and took their feet right out from under them. His grin grew. This was what power was. This was why he lived. Two left, if his count had been right. He turned and saw one trying to sneak up on him. Fool. Lance took him down with a solid hit to the ribs, then moved onto the last one, tapping electrum and choking him into unconsciousness despite the best attempts of the shorter man to break his grip. "Well that was fun! I needed a good scrap. Feel free to worship me now, if you like." @Ookla the Emperor @(anyone else in this area because honestly I don't remember who all is here)

I'm gonna advise this now: stick to his mythology and don't get involved with his homelife. Stuff's wack in ways you don't want to be involved with unless you want to get sucked down an unpleasant rabbit hole.

poll Raoden, Sarene or Hrathen?
Invocation replied to Honorless's topic in Elantris and Emperor's Soul
Snog Hrathen, we agree on that, but marry Sarene and avoid Raoden. -
Not on their own. But they'd been trying to induct him for quite a while, and if he comes to them asking to learn how to read, they would see that as the way to finally give themselves that Kholin-brand legitimacy they so crave and let him in on the secret.
-
They claim they can't read. Not sure I trust that.

"Uh, okay, I guess." He reached up and grabbed her hand. "Thanks."

"A-a what? The where? What's a spren?" His head was spinning. Somehow all these terms felt familiar, but he couldn't pin them down.

What. How does she not see it? Is it...not real? Am I mad? "What do you mean 'there's nothing there'? That...thing has been following me across the whole city!" Zerameth began to hyperventilate. "All vines and scratched eyes and black background and what do you mean you can't see it it's right there!"

Probably the Stormwardens. They had an interest in him, after all, and he was mentioned as having been spending more time near them than previously around the time of the visions.

Unfortunately, that direction is also a churning mess. @Ookla the Dreamer@Ookla the Foxed

Might not be more dangerous, per se, since it's possible that the initial transfer does something similar to their use as a hyperdrive and they scream when being forced into it too early or the metamorphosis is aborted for some reason or another/just messes up somehow. The delvers would still end up drawn, but they likely wouldn't be as hostile if they thought something happened that happens normally, more just saddened.

You manage to track your footsteps back a little ways before they become to jumbled to make out, right on the edge of a batch of increased movement beneath the surface.\

Zerameth scrambled to his feet and raced inside the library, uncaring of politeness. His eyes darted around, frantically searching for what felt the most familiar. They fell on a small sphere lamp mounted on the wall, radiating white light so pure it verged on blue. Somehow it felt normal to see that, almost comforting. That was it. That was what he'd come for. He rushed towards it, hoping beyond hope that something about it would help him. As he reached it, he breathed in sharply, which went completely unnoticed and unquestioned in his psyche, simply dismissed as a breath of shock, and having no effect to be marked as anything other than another breath. The back of his head prickled, hair raising, and he spun around, only barely keeping his balance. It was the...thing...again. That horrible twisted thing. It was standing right behind him. Any bit of balance he had fled as he fell backwards with a wordless shout, pushing himself along the wall away from it, to no avail as it simply stepped with him, motion distinct against the featureless void of its background. "Get away from me!"

Eos stood, one ear cocked and listening to the various conversations. So this atium stuff was valuable, huh? Sounded like she needed to get more of it. One bead is nice, but where one bead is a small fortune, more beads make for a larger fortune. And more was always better. The moment Corette came up, she was going in. Or she could just steal from whatever stockpile they would inevitably have laying around. She'd figure it out as she went, but she was definitely getting her hands on some more of that metal.

The Scholar's Guild. The building! They had whatever felt familiar! "Something about the building...it tugs at me. Can I go inside, Alanis?" The need increased in him, burning in him, feeling like it should be scorching his flesh from the inside.

Which non-human species would you want to be?
Invocation replied to StanLemon's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Not in dragon form we haven't. Whether we've seen one at all is...debatable. -
Zerameth drifted, scenes of a child who seemed familiar - was that him? - being yelled at by a stern older man and looked on disapprovingly by other children floating past like dreams, when a jolt of something, something familiar, sent wispy white light curling across the visions despite his best attempts to reach out to them and jolted him awake, astonishingly clear-headed and free of the bone-deep weariness that had drug his feet through the city. His eyes opened to see an unfamiliar person close. Too close. He scrambled backwards, slipping and sliding on the street's gravel and grit, skinning his palms, desperately trying to get some distance between himself and this person. "Who -" His throat was dry, and his voice rasped like he hadn't talked for years. "Who are you?" @Rushu42
