  1. Fair enough. Thanks!
  2. I mean what else are you gonna do? Everyone is scared of the humans getting off of Detrius, so if you're Cytonic and have the slightest free time, you're going to be focused there, which might cause the eyes to appear.
  3. Then what was the deal with Paalm getting each spike specifically made for her and everyone making a big deal out of that. They tried give ReLuur his mind back by giving him one of TenSoon's spikes and he spat it back out, begging for his. That's what actually brought this to mind, was reading that scene and remembering something about MeLaan saying TenSoon "inherited" OreSeur's spikes and Blessing.
  4. Why was TenSoon able to use the Blessing made for OreSeur? Was it just because he killed him and that negated the specific requirement that only OreSeur could use those spikes?
  5. I think those eyes are just all the other Cytonic beings hanging around.
  6. You'd probably need to shenanigan some stuff, but other than that, I don't think there's a reason infrared and ultraviolet couldn't be used. Stuff like gamma and x-rays I don't think could be used, if only because of health risks.
  7. It's very possible it cut off the characters, because that was the full name. Or was that sarcasm?
  8. Oh, you mean this guy? Also, side note, does this topic lag badly for anyone else?
  9. I hope Brandon builds on this in later books, because it's interesting to think about.
  10. I mean you have to sail towards the Origin of Storms that make the highstorms to get to Aimia, and the journey is long enough that you will inevitably encounter at least one. The rocks that were Soulcast into the ocean contribute to the watery demise of many ships and the Aimians themselves take care of the rest, but I don't think there's a permanent storm parked there (yet, at least).
  11. So maybe they seperate, or it just swaps with her being the foremost of the Highstorm after Honor's available Investiture decreases (more than likely because Dalinar does stuff) and from then on it's more her storm than his.
  12. Now imagine if Cultivation's storm super-charges that.
  13. Convergent storm bands would be interesting (two storms go each direction and meet in the middle) so that every portion of Roshar has a storm that has the most power there.
  14. My bad, I knew it started with an A but messed it up. That is also fair.
  15. What previous training? He was like 10.
  16. I was recently rereading Way of Kings, and there was the whole deal with Kaladin being shenaniganly good with a spear while still in Hearthstone. Why? Is it because due to his impending Nahel bond to Syl (who was already in the Physical Realm I believe, correct me if I'm wrong)? Why would that have an effect? Is it just Spiritual Realm idealized self shenanigans? Also, as another thing that kind of feeds off that, Syl seems to experience time non-linearly in some cases, as do many other spren under the correct scenarios (mostly via Nahel bond). Syl says she crossed over into the Physical Realm again because she knew that Kaladin would one day call for her, amending her previous statement of her hearing him call for her. The Stormfather (and a couple other spren that are bonded) say that they don't know what their Radiant can do, but once they do know, they've always known. Here's a theory: you get enough Investiture together that it begins to develop sentience like that and it does funky things with their perception of time. Nightblood does the same thing, seeming mostly stuck within the first few hours/days of his existence. Is that a viable idea?
  17. No one expects the Rosharan Inquisition.
  18. What I really want, honestly, it an revamped Gen 4 of Pokemon. I've got a soft spot for Sinnoh, as it was the first new game I'd ever had and I saved my chore money for a long time to be able to buy the DS Lite and a copy of Platinum. I want to see all the wonderful Gyms and sights of Sinnoh in full 3D (not to mention the save time being shorter than an eternity) and I above all else want to see my guy Giratina and the Distortion World in 3D. Golden Sun was awesome and is a massively underrated game.
  19. I'm going to jump off of this (thank you @Quantus for the springboard): what if the Ire is Threnody's Evil? Like the cause of the Evil happening was them picking up such a large portion of Ambition's Investiture (that's who's on Threnody, right?) upset some form of balance or set off a defense of some kind from the Investiture there resisting the native Elantrian Investiture?
  20. Invocation

    Aon modifiers

Dots and angled lines and stuff, based on various landscape details in Arelon. There is a conjoining one somewhere that will allow Aons to be combined, I think. As to the list, I don't know if this is any more detailed than the 10th Anniversary edition, but it's worth looking at: https://coppermind.net/wiki/Aon
  21. He has Allomancy by the time he's on Roshar. He uses bronze to sense tiny Shallan's Investiture.
  22. Really? Nice. Still, he already has used the Lerasium and he wouldn't have known that Taldain would be unblocked, so he wouldn't have had the idea to save it for that.
