Excluding Shards, Hoid, and discounting Nightblood, if you threw the people of the cosmere into a massive Thunderdome-style Battle Royale, who wins? Fight it out in the comments! T H U N D E R D O M E

Some combination of Hemalurgy and shenanigans that we don't know full details for as of yet, until The Lost Metal comes out in 2020/2021

Those glowing giants no one seems to be talking about
Invocation replied to BrightnessSamantha's topic in Stormlight Archive
Yeah, there's not much there for those. Every time a topic/thread comes up with something about them, we get nowhere because there's not enough info to speculate more stuff on with them.- 43 replies

That's fair. OPM is more of just a "watch dude smack things and chill" anime as opposed to MHA's more complex stuff (but there's still a fair amount of smashing there too)
-
Y'know what solves that? Listening to the ASMR of Lebron James breaking into your house to offer you a Sprite Cranberry.

How did you find your first Brandon Sanderson book?
Invocation replied to beantheboy12's topic in General Brandon Discussion
Yeah, that's actually what happened. I'm grinning just thinking about it. In hindsight, yes. At the time, it hurt. -

Dude in middle school threw a copy of Mistborn at me and it hit me on the head. Picked it up and ran because it was his book and it was revenge. Read it. Instantly hooked. Never gave the book back.- 37 replies

You're probably excited for next year, then, huh? With MHA having season 4 in October and OPM's season 2 confirmed for next year sometime.

There was a WOB I saw a while back (can't find it now, sorry) that Kelsier is not using his original body, even counting the bones. More like permanent sutures. Putting that many holes in a spiritweb and trying to shove other stuff in there is hard, and you can literally rip apart from what we've been told (mentally, most likely) and the steel spike brings extra fortitude in tying them all together. It doesn't work all the way, I'd say, judging from the way the spikes throb constantly, but it certainly makes that many spikes feasible while you remain sane.

Yeah, CrazyRioter nailed it: perception is everything when it comes to the honorblades (and just about everything else that is ambivalent in the cosmere).

That's probably because they think Renarin is really soft and needs to be protected, even though he's a warrior in his own right.

Maybe something about his whole aloof attitude reminds people of cats.
-
What Marsh/cats thing? I just like cats.
-
Mine is probably Scadrial, because cats.

Well, there's no real order specifically to read in. I read them in the order of Mistborn Era 1, Elantris, Warbreaker, Mistborn Era 2, White Sand, short stories, and then Stormlight. (Stormlight is a good idea to read last because it's where things come together more and is the furthest down the timeline of the full series stuff right now)

Crackpot Theories (A game)
Invocation replied to Toaster Retribution's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Proof: What else is she going to do with all the bodies that the jobs with the Ghostbloods will produce? Theory: Ruin and Preservation were actually the opposite of what we think their Intents were. -
Just something I noticed while Re-reading Oathbringer
Invocation replied to The Sovereign's topic in Stormlight Archive
That's the thing, I don't think it is weaker. I think he just uses it more subtly, building off of dust and stuff to assist his stories so that it isn't noticed. I mean he can change the color of Shallan's room-size illusion, but out of all the things he can do, massive Lightweavings would ruin his covers more than anything else. If there's a WOB that Yolish Lightweaving is weaker, though, please show me, because that would mean some interesting things for the rest of Yolish magic that might remain.- 9 replies

That could be it, which actually would make a lot more sense than what I thought he was doing (burning bronze) but out of curiosity, why would the sand not have changed color for his Lightweaving, only for Shallan's? (It's been a while since I read White Sand, so I'm fuzzy on the details)- 9 replies

Welcome to the Shard! Spook is just about one of my favorite characters too, especially towards the end of Era 1 and what he did off-screen for Era 2. What's your favorite world?
-
I didn't even notice the first post was from 2014, I just saw an interesting topic. Oops.
-
I doubt it. Kelsier is just vain enough to like himself and Spook to be the only two with access to the power of all Allomantic abilities, plus a lerasium Mistborn would have overshadowed Kell himself, and he wouldn't have liked that.
-
Nice. I'm a fan of Sel, too. The raw amount of ways Investiture manifests is fun to think about.
-
Same issue. You have to get the Leecher near the Lord Ruler and they have to have enough chromium to actually drain that much Investiture given that the Lord Ruler is extremely Invested even just by himself due to the whole Well thing, so you'd have to drain all of that as well (which might actually get rid of this ability to use Allomancy entirely, since he used the Well's power to rebuild himself to be able to burn metals in the first place, but again, that's a lot of chromium needed)
