  1. Yes kaladin. I really hope Shai became a world hopper so that we can have more of her in the books! yup Lightsong RIP this time buddy! and I would add vin and elend for Mistborn, Khriss for white sand any books left?
  2. Lol true that. Spiritual adhesion should definitely work. Already it allows one to form connection with another temporarily, their should be a way to make it permanent. Agreed on the radiant and squire relationship. Good observation.
  3. @spren of destruction as much as you would like to be a dustbringer and destroy stuff (based on your name) , I welcome to the order of elsecallers. Let me assure you that creating stuff out of thin air is fun too and soulcasting allows a lot of opportunities for destroying stuff too. Ask our head elsecaller Queen Jasnah.
  4. That is very good analysis. I agree, this is what I believe is more close to what happened. I think that Herdaz was not given Direct aid by radiants. dalinar’s forces have to choose their battles very carefully seeing as they are already stretched to the limits. It is important to safeguard the places with oathgates, form strongholds around them to ensure mobility and availability of resources. Herdaz is a difficult place to defeat the fused army in, and once and if defeated, it is a literal nightmare to try and hold it. So, they probably provided what little aid they could spare but largely decided to give Herdaz up.
  5. Welcome to the club. We will learn to soulcast the good stuff, good delicious food and we will use transportation to travel all of Roshar! Oh and Shadesmar too. We will make some spren contacts.
  6. What did you get?
  7. SA4 ch1? Have you signed up for Brandon’s newsletter? You can do that on his website, if you have not. He has given the latest version in his newsletter which he sends in the email
  8. Yes I like windrunners too the most, because of kaladin and they are the first powers we saw plus their powers are flying and tele-kinesics-ish which has been an all time favourite. But I got elsecallers in the quiz. And they are cool too what with soulcasting and transportation.
  9. Welcome to the shard! Great to know that you went to his release party. It must be a lot of fun!
  10. True that. Yup. Last time Odium has underestimated the humans, and this time he is much less likely to repeat the same mistake. I guess I had thought that since odium is not going to be directly involved as he is avoiding dalinar that would somehow mean humans getting a slightly easy time. But I agree with your reasoning, he has enough ammunition, that his non-direct involvement should not matter much.
  11. I think that when dalinar met odium first time, Odium was a shard whereas dalinar a mere human, he could not comprehend the infinite power and trying to understand would have broken his mind. But later, Dalinar has kinda, ascended and that has put him in a more equal-ish measure to odium. Moreover, normally a shard’s majority power is lying in spiritual realm and it is not manifest. But, at that moment, dalinar had held a lot of that power manifesting it Directly in PR via creating the perpendicularity, so I think he saw odium’s manifestation in PR to be really small.
  12. I agree with this analysis. In fact I must say that I find the start of this book with a major lose for dalinar’s forces to be very interesting. Frankly, after the great win at the end of OB, I had kind of forgotten how bad things were in reality for dalinar’s coalition. After all, odium had not come with his full might at all because he had hoped to convert dalinar and use Amaram’s forces and take the humans completely unaware. But you are right, things are really bad right now for our heroes. They have very difficult times ahead. @Toaster Retribution a very good point.
  13. That is true but if he had urithiru help, then we start this book with a major lose for honor’s forces. It would also show that Lirin thinks that the human resistance against odium’s forces is unnecessary and they have no real hope of winning. Which is possible but I did not think that he had so fatalistic attitude. Mainly, I don’t see why a fight with radiants would be lost in just a year and if radiants were actively participating then why are there so many refugees coming towards Alethkar, why were they not whisked away by windrunners instead?
  14. Dilaf is certainly there but i really disliked Sadeas and zane too. Zane is a character in mistborn book 2
  15. That is actually a very interesting idea. Is it possible that the whole situation with humans was allowed by H&C to escalate so that singers would go to Odium and he would be too tempted to help them and get trapped in doing so?
  16. I read this chapter and to summarize, it is mentioned that Herdaz was in a year long fighting with Odium's Army. Herdazian General "the Mink" was the leader behind it and he is blamed by Lirin for all the bloodshed in a lost cause of a battle. Lirin does not mention the radiants. he does not mention the coalition or unified human forces. What I am confused about is the role of Knights Radiants, Dalinar and his coalition in this Herdazian War. Were they not involved? If they were, then Lirin would not consider it a lost cause, would he? And if they were not involved, why not? Was not Herdaz part of the coalition. What really happened in this one year gap? I know we will probably get the answers in the next book, but i thought if anyone has any thoughts on this, please share.
  17. Oh yes. That is a problem, the tooth most certainly should have grown back and other scars at least should have faded if not the one on his wrist. About the "less obvious weapons": I am not sure this scene describes summoning of shardblade. But i would still say that i like the idea of the Mink being a candidate for Radianthood. May be not before but now, after having lost the war and getting so many of his soldiers killed, i think he should "broken" enough to attract some spren's attention. And since, spren attract other spren, it is possible that it will happen once he reaches Urithiru. And I would like to see someone become a stoneward on-screen.
  18. It is totally worth it, please read them when you get the opportunity.
  19. Is there any evil number in mind for Dilaf turning into monstrosity?
  20. Can I just say that I love your status “compounder”. Which compounder would you be?

  21. Urithiru?
  22. I agree, I don’t think that he will be a main pov, I think he is simply explaining the setting from a neutral point.
  23. Hi @drinkjesus welcome to the shard! What books of Brandon have you read? And which one is your favourite?
  24. What! no jerkface!? Haha yup Spensa is awesome and Rodge, I love their friendship. I love the scene “you will flip your boot, both of them” and nedd aurturo kimmalayan and M-bot and Cobb! You are right it is difficult to chose they are all so good.
