  12. Because I'm voting for them??? Because I put them as my next suspect after Swan? I firmly stated yesterday that I believed at least 2 elims were on the train of Ostrich. Since Swan has turned out to be innocent, I'm convinced they are evil. I'll also point out that @Charcoal Hyena hasn't voted yet, but has logged in. Considering the blatant self preservation last time, I can easily imagine where her vote is going. We also have unaccounted for vote manipulation! While I hope @Chartreuse Penguin will vote as well, I'm not getting my hopes up. Then again, considering that Amber Vulture was on Hyena, Penguin is my best guess for the 2nd elim. I suppose Vulture's vote could be a bus, but I doubt it.
  13. "Really?" Sew supposed by this point she should be used to this. It was still disheartening. There was also a lot wrong with this post. First up, there had been unclaimed vote manipulation last round. That meant LyLo was now, not later. From a distribution standpoint, that was terrifying! Since the Spiked had manipulation, it was obvious why they had gone after Mouse. They didn't want their power being blocked, and, well, Mouse was more trusted than Sew. Sew wasn't one hundred percent sure what type of vote manipulation the Spiked had. The evidence from yesterday suggested a Soother, but all Soothes before this point were claimed by Swan. It seemed quite possible that the Elims had a Mistborn. Sew was frankly terrified about the possibility of them rolling Pewter, or Zinc, or Steel. An extra life, an extra kill, an extra vote; those could all prove deadly in this situation. She also had to address another part of the argument. Weasel was the best target for Smoking. Nibbles had voted on the Spiked every single cycle. Plus, he had also claimed to be a Thug. Basically, he was extremely unlikely to be a Spiked, and he was extremely unlikely to die. Sew wanted his vote to count, and was suspecting a claimed Soother, so she really wanted his vote to count. Sew understood the temptation to pair Hyena and herself. She had saved the tinker's life after all. However, it was clear that Lysia @Charcoal Hyena was evil. Once again, she referred back to Day 3. She did not believe for a second that the train on Octopus was clean. Yes, Heron had voted on that train but that was as self preservation. She highly suspected that a second Spiked was on that train. Well, all the other members of that train were dead, except for Hyena. Hyena broke a 3 way tie between Swan, herself, and Octopus, deciding on Octopus. From Sew's perspective, that seemed like Elim action to her.
  14. I'm claiming the Smoke on Weasel. I didn't want Coral Swan to wiggle out of the vote if he was guilty. I'm not claiming the removal of a vote on Hyena. Pretty sure Hyena is evil, and also has vote manipulation powers.
  15. Sew was right for the wrong reasons. She had guessed that the Spiked had vote manipulation. However, it was clear that Acks was not the manipulator. She had finally proven her role, for what it was worth. She had Smoked herself and Weasel. When Coral tried to save himself, Weasel's vote had not vanished. However, a vote had vanished on Hyena's train. Whether through Rioting or Soothing, she wasn't sure. However, that was clear enemy action. Hyena was extremely likely to be a Spiked at this point. They needed to get Hyena first. Furthermore, they needed to have Copperclouds at the ready. @Azure Mouse Please smoke yourself and someone else. We have to get this right, and we can't allow the Spiked to slip through our grasp again.
  16. Sew considered Swan's question. What would she do if Acks really was innocent? Well, the blame would rather immediately shift to Hyena. She still believed Day 3 was the best source of information. She did not believe that there was only one Spiked on that train. Naturally, that meant the tinkerer had to be guilty. Based on the voting right now, the pairing for Hyena would most likely be Penguin. She emphatically did not suspect Mouse, Falcon, and Weasel, and Vulture had just put Hyena on the chopping block. If Acks was guilty, she suspected Sauve Chad would be the pairing. Sew was getting rather annoyed at all the acronyms. This wasn't a Mafia Universe. More importantly, was he going to vote? His life was in danger. Despite her repeated suspicion of him, the flip of Heron had made her trust this man explicitly. He could even be her dad!
  17. Sew considered the seven other survivors. The main point of contention was Day 3, at least in her mind. The killing of Ostrich made zero sense to her. She knew the gambler was dead, but she would bet easy money that another Spiked, besides Heron, was on that train. That sorted people into three main categories. People Who Voted on Heron Day 3: Indigo Weasel: If Nibbles was a Spiked, she'd eat a hat. He had been the consistent vote on Bryar since Day 1. Azure Mouse: She wasn't sure why Mouse was so mousey, especially with her role, but she had a good vibe on them. Their surge of recent activity made Sew trust her more. Emerald Falcon: Sew had to accept that a tunnel was a tunnel. The observer had gotten a Spiked within one vote of dying. That had to count for something. People Who Voted for Neither Octopus Nor Heron Day 3: Chartreuse Penguin: Sew should probably clear Mordna for Day 2. However, that vote felt like distancing, especially since Heron didn't get the second vote until way later in the cycle. Mostly, she just wanted to hear more from them. Amber Vulture: The pompous jerk was off. It's easy to defend someone you know is innocent. However, Sauve didn't switch his vote to another train, leading to the Lurcher's death. Add to that the vote on herself on Day 4, and it overall gave Sew real bad vibes. People Who Voted for Octopus: Charcoal Hyena: Mrs. Inactive was hard to read, due to a lack of posts. Still, she was in severely hot water. When the vote was tied, three apiece, between herself, Octopus, and Heron, she had chosen Octopus. That was extremely bad vibes. Coral Swan: And then they had Acks. She wanted to believe in his innocence. However, things were not lining up. He had voted for Octopus. Despite voting for Bryar, he had deliberately soothed a vote off of that train. Okay, she should have blocked that vote, but that still implied a lack of investment in the train. On Day 2, they caused a 4 way tie. She doubted he took into consideration Heron getting voted up. However, all three other candidates were innocent. Did she have the strongest gut vibes against Swan? Not really. But, the two dead men had. Both Crocodile and Dingo had painted their suspicion on him. Finally, there was a power distribution perspective. She trusted Mouse, and therefore trusted Mouse's claim. She would have been surprised if the Spiked had voted manipulation with only one Village Smoker. With two though? That seemed more balanced. For all of those reasons, Acks @Coral Swan
  18. It's sad, but I can't address this properly in RP. I was only Smoking myself on Day 4, but thought I was smoking myself and Dingo. I got tripped up by the rules. I submitted no action on Day 3. There was a "clarification" in the rules about what happens when a Smoker doesn't take actions. It said the cloud lasted for 2 turns, and then would default to Smoking only yourself. I interpreted turns to mean cycles, so I assumed my action would have repeated, smoking Dingo. However, that was a misinterpretation. 2 turns meant one full Day Night cycle. Thus I went to the default of only Smoking myself. I'm frustrated though, because that clarification has now vanished from the official rules. @Araris Valerian and @Kasimir Did you remove that the line? I understand that you're trying to reduce confusion, but now I feel like I'm hallucinating. This is kind of my alibi, so I'd like the GMs not to mess with that.
  19. "Huh?" Sew was honestly baffled by this. She hadn't put a lot of effort into her Smoking, and didn't submit any actions on Night 3. She thought that meant that herself and Dingo would be protected, because that was her action on Night 2. If that wasn't the case, she had made an honest mistake. She tried to consider this from Swan's perspective. If she was evil, why would she lie about this? Swan could easily call her bluff. Maybe Swan thought she wasn't a Smoker? But then why claim Smoker, when that counter claim got Heron killed? She was definitely confused by this, and asked the gods (the GMs) for clarification. Hopefully they could resolve this. EDIT: Got clarification. Since I didn't submit an action, my action became Smoking only myself. Apologies for the accident, should have asked for clarification before responding in the PM. Even if that mystery got resolved, there was also another vote missing. If Swan was telling the truth, and Sew had messed up, they were responsible for the vote missing on Heron. Why then was there another vote missing, and why was it missing from her train? She supposed she should be thankful for that, but it just raised more questions than answers. She was beginning to wonder if there was a plethora of Mistborn running around town.
  20. At this point, Sew was getting numb to being in mortal danger. She was aware that they were all in danger. The Spiked were out to kill them, despite several thwarted attempts. And yet, Sew was in even more danger. The town didn't trust her. Several of them were voting for her. In a way, that made it easier. She just had to defend herself. There couldn't be two Smokers, so it had to be Bryar. It was simple. She worried about simple. A tiny voice in her brain whispered doubts in her ear. You were wrong about Hayden. You could be wrong about Bryar. She tried to shut that part of her brain off. She had over thought power distribution once before, with tragic consequences. She wasn't going to do that again. But after Bryar died, and flipped Spiked, then what? She doubted there was only one of them. No, there had to be more bad actors present. Was it just the people voting on her? That would be a nice, clean answer, but she doubted it would be that obvious. Still, she considered them. Bryar was obviously out to save their own skin. He's going to flip Spiked. Was Falcon evil? Her suspicion on him had hardened like clay. But it was becoming over baked, and brittle. He kept saying he was fine with the votes every time. It was driving her bonkers. Was it too obvious? Sauve Chad was the other vote on her. He had paraphrased their private conversation accurately. She didn't understand how that became a vote against her though? She still suspected Falcon, and her suspicion had only lessened on Hyena when both Day 1 targets had turned out to be good. No, she thought it had to be in the more quiet players. Penguin's abscence spoke volumes. Sew could see a world in which Mordna was a less than active Spiked. Active enough to vote on her in Day 3, but got too caught up to place a vote Day 4. It could track. And Mouse, who cowardly was avoiding the train on her now. She supposed that was a good thing, but why now? Did they really expect to get off the hook because of it? She didn't have any answers. As the sun started setting, she breathed another sigh, and did a silent prayer. She didn't know to who. She didn't worship the Lord Ruler, or the Ja, or anything really. Still, she prayed to the void. Let this turn out better. Don't let it be like Hayden. Let's be right about Bryar.
  21. "Likewise, Bryar (Mint Heron)." Sew had been busy, but looking back, the train on Kael Voss (Fuchsia Ostrich) seemed way off. Considering that the only two trains were herself and Bryar, it only made sense to accuse the other.
  22. Sew was once again in danger of being killed. She just felt numb to it at this point. She wasn't sure what else to do at this point. Her gut was betraying her at every turn. She had to protect herself. She knew that much at least. She took a deep breath, and cast a vote. "Bryar @Mint Heron" She hated this. Despite the rest of the town's insistence, she couldn't help feeling that there were two Village smokers. Then again, her read of mechanics this game had been poor. Her vote on Hayden proved that. Maybe she should just listen to them on this. While she was here, she might as well draw up one last list. Most to least likely to be my parent. Melon Dingo: General willingness to solve the game Indigo Weasel: Quick to vote and act Mauve Crocodile: Still thinking that Day 2 was a bunch of Village trains Amber Vulture: Strong defense of Hayden in PMs Charcoal Hyena: Breaking the tie Day 1 Fuchsia Ostrich: Inactivity, but my gut says village Chartreuse Penguin: Less good gut read Coral Swan: Keeps dropping off my radar, but has a weird vibe. Mint Heron: Null kind of read Azure Mouse: I'm not sure why, but I've got a negative gut read on him. Just seems active enough to move the thread, but not standing out Emerald Falcon: Well aware I'm probably digging a tunnel to Southern Scadrial. Still can't shake this read though.
  23. Sew was a bit miffed that Dingo revealed her role to the whole town, but that was done now. "You want my take on Bryar (Mint Heron)? Well..." She hesitated, concerned. "The double Smoker thing is throwing me. If Melon is tellin' the truth, that means we've got two Soothers, right? And he's not got a lot of reason to lie, especially since he got the claim from Bryar and myself. So, there's two Smokers, and two people with Vote Manipulation. The priest claims it wasn't him. So, somebody got the vote into a tie. Despite his claims, the priest was gettin' a fair amount of heat, so I don't understand why a stranger would do that. This is where my mind's racin' to. Do the Spiked have vote manipulation? They made a tie on purpose. I know I'm good, and Tuatara was good. That's two out of four targets. The lead target was the priest, so regardless of alignment, they would want him in a tie. Again, not sure on Heron, since the two votes on him were so late on the day. I'm paranoid that we had another day of villagers on the blocks. I'm still mixed on Bryar as a read, but from a mechanical point of view, I trust them."
  24. Sew didn't have any good explanations. She had panicked, thought way too much about what would generate information, and had settled for Tuatara. She should have backed down, but didn't. She merely said, "Sorry. Also, what's a PR? Protect?" "Suppose you could be lyin' about the Soothe. After all, the vote was missin' on the priest, not Hayden. But then why tell people you were doin' it?" Sew didn't buy that option, and would assume Rind was telling the truth. It was more mysteries, and unlikely coincidences. She'd like an answer from @Mint Heron . "Wouldn't you know which this is? If you could change the votes, I wouldn't blame you. The second option though, I don't get your reasoning." She agreed with him, at least on this point. "I got suckered into following too much on a tie. They could easily want to do the same thing here." "Right. From my perspective, I know I'm not Spiked, and Hayden obviously wasn't. If you're Spiked, they would use their powers to save one of their own. If you're not, they don't know your role, but would love stirrin' the pot. Don't know about Bryar, that last vote might have been too recent. If you're not a vote manipulator, I think it's more likely a Spiked swung this thing. Course, that requires you to trust that I'm good, which... I know that's a tall order right now."
  25. This is fine. Everything was fine. She was fine. She hadn't died. She killed the drunk. It was fine. Where were the spikes? He had to have spikes. That was the only thing that made sense. Where were they? She was digging through his clothing. They weren't there. Where were they? She couldn't have done this. She couldn't have killed an innocent man. It was also so clear. He had to have been faking the attack. Where were the rusting spikes. She collapsed at some point. There was blood on her hands, and no amount of washing would get it off.
