Well, tuna. That didn't work. "Catfish," muttered Erif, not resisting. "I hate dungeons. They're always so wet." "You saw a plotblade?" asked Nogard eagerly. "What did it look like?"     Withergeists? thought Erif. What are those? Clearly he'd stumbled into something big. That was good- he needed big- but he wouldn't be able to accomplish anything until he knew what was going on. I just need to find the book. Surely that will explain everything. "Um," replied Nogard, glancing at Shoe helplessly. "Sort of?"

    Erif gave them a glare that hopefully communicated "shut up and stop talking." They were being spied on by an invisible rabbit. (Which gives a pretty big hint as to the identity of the Great Wizard). The Brave Adventurer broke the invisibility.

    I've discovered something very strange.

    Page breaks now have added functionality.

    Before, they were just lines in posts. Now... they do this!

    (Unless what I'm talking about doesn't work in status updates. Then I'm about to look pretty stupid.)

    Erif slowly got more and more cross-eyed as he listened to the loquacious squirrel. "Uh," he said. "Who is Plot? Who is the Witherlord?" Selppaenip frowned. Those were particularly confusing words. He supposed that must mean they were particularly wise. TP wagged his tail excitedly as they approached the Chinese restaurant. He thumped Selppaenip with his snout. "Ah yes," grunted Selppaenip. "TP wishes to order whatever on the menu is hottest." "Uh," said Nogard weakly. "Maybe you could give us a crash course on those too?" They're new, cut them some slack Erif let out a mental groan. Far above, thunder rumbled. You just had to speak, he thought grouchily. We could have stayed hidden, but you just had to speak. Oh well, time to use what he'd been taught to do in situations like this. "I want a lawyer," he said firmly. In the cave where Nogard, Shoe, OA, Zanitar, and others were, Qodi inexplicably wasn't.

    "There's a meeting of the Brave Adventurers where they're going to discuss 'Plotblades'," whispered Nogard. "Do you know what those are? They sound important! Anyways, we're planning to infiltrate it to hear what's going on."

    To be fair, there's no reason why Hrank couldn't have just showed up without explanation behind Erif. This is TLT. Erif stared at the old man with wild eyes. "I didn't do it," he said automatically.

    (Makes sense. But you should know Erif isn't with the rest of the group. He and Tull entered together through a completely different way.)

    Erif jumped and let out a strangled half-scream as the strange old man appeared from nowhere behind him. "What- Who- How-?" Why Erif? Nogard's curiosity was piqued at the mention of "Plotblades". He'd never heard of them before, but they sounded important.

    Selppaenip was so stunned by this epiphany that he disarmed the attempted armed robber on pure instinct alone. It was only after the man was kneeling on the ground begging for mercy that Selppaenip realized that he might be doing something wrong. With some effort, he forcefully restrained himself from using his extensive hand-to-hand combat training to defeat the man in seven seconds. Unfortunately, he was not entirely successful, and was only able to keep his time over a minute. He sighed, releasing the man from a headlock and letting his unconscious body slump to the ground. "Master," he said despondently, "I fear there is something about this 'normalcy' that I cannot grasp." It took Erif a second to register what Tull was doing- a second in which, unfortunately, he was doing nothing to dissuade him from walking directly into the room full of powerful adventurers and loudly proclaiming 'WE DIDN'T DO IT.'"

    Erif shut up and started waiting for Nameless listening. He supposed he had nothing better to do.

    Erif grunted. "Well, it would be nice if that was the reason, instead of my terrible luck."

    Funnily enough, Erif actually has multiple curses that he's concerned about Erif paled slightly. "You don't think... they're still here?"

    Erif shook his head. "Why was there a portal here? That doesn't make any sense. I think we should go back, reevaluate our position-" He looked backwards. The portal was gone. He sighed. "Tell me," he muttered. "Does this mythical blade of yours do anything to remove curses?"

    Erif grabbed at Tull's hand as he moved to enter the room. "Wait! Something's not right about all this." Perhaps we should merely eavesdrop?

    Erif slowed, frowning. "Hold on. I don't think we're in the castle anymore- I think we got teleported."

    "Sounds like a plan to me," replied Erif, making a run for it.

    Sharp eye "A curse blade, huh? Well, we're not going to learn anything if we just stand here." Erif stepped out of the woods and approached the castle, squinting to try and see what the source of the blue light was.

    "A mythical weapon? Really? What sort?" The man looked intrigued. "Do you know what it does? Ah, but I'm being impolite. We haven't been introduced yet." He extended a hand. "I am called Erif."

    "Your guess is as good as mine." The man frowned, turning towards Tull. "What brings you to this castle in particular, anyways?"
