  1. "Nice and simple. I like it." There was another moment of silence. "So. If you didn't come here to save the world... what brought you here?"
  2. "Oh," said Nogard, who was something of an enthusiast. There was a few awkward moments of silence. "So," he asked. "What's up with the staff?" Erif shrugged. "I'm not sure. The oracle said it would help me somehow." He put the volume away in his pocket. "Anyways. We should get out of here. This castle is creepy and probably cursed." "Hello!" said the Bacon Bard.
  3. "You don't seem too enthusiastic, if you don't mind me saying. Is everything all right?" Erif showed the cover of the book. It read: An Unwinding Thread -Fate-
  4. "Oh. Well, do you want to help save the world?" Nogard made a thoughtful face. "Either way, we should probably try to find out more about him." "Found it!" called Erif, snatching at a volume.
  5. Erif ran in, scanning the bookshelves for the book he was looking for. "Hey, Sandy!" called Nogard. "Have you come to join our quest to save the world?"
  6. Erif leaped to his feet and peeked inside. "So you think this Great Wizard was framed?"
  7. Fifteen minutes of searching later, Erif sat down on a bench with a sigh. It felt like he had searched everywhere. Where could this library be?
  8. "Does this mean we can go back to looking for the library?" Erif asked hopefully.
  9. Well, the group just finished up an assault on the Brave Adventurers, a group made up of heroes and such. They're on a snowy mountain. You could have your character have been part of the fighting, or you could have him just show up again after wandering. Don't sweat the details too much, we can fill you in on those if they become relevant.
  10. Erif sighed. Clearly, he would have nobody to help his search until this issue was resolved. "Couldn't you just use the Plotblade?" he reasoned. Do you want to have your character talk to Nogard? He's pretty lonely- everyone left him behind.
  11. "How is this supposed to help exactly?" called Erif, unentangling himself from a tapestry.
  12. From outside the speed bubble came Erif's very slowed-down scream as he flew through the air, flailing wildly.
  13. Erif swallowed the vial and found to his surprise that it did in fact give magical abilities. He spent the next three minutes experimenting with steelpushing with various levels of success.
  14. Erif blinked. "I'm a what?" He stared at the vial of metal flakes, perplexed as to what function they could possibly serve.
  15. "I mean," said Nogard, "I've just learned I've signed on to a quest that might involve saving the world. Which is cool, I guess?" Erif folded his arms. "Look. I would rather not waste time hashing this out. I have a book to find. Can you two settle this like reasonable human beings?"
  16. "What business do you have with her?" asked Erif.
  17. "I'm not sure," admitted Nogard. Just roll up with a character! Pretty much yeah.
  18. Nogard was staring into space, mouth slightly open. He suddenly noticed Sequence. "Oh! You... vanished." @Sequence We had a fight and then got escape-teleported to a snowy mountain top. A bunch of people went to do a side quest (not Nogard though)
  19. "Ow," said Erif, somewhat muffled by the ground. He pushed himself to his feet and eyed the newcomer warily. "Who are you?"
  20. "Whoops!" declared Bacon the Bard. "I'm definitely not supposed to be here." And he vanished with a faint smell of pork. Erif roundhouse punched the newcomer on instinct.
  21. Bacon the Bard snapped, and all of a sudden they were at the location of Quiet Golden Eyes. Erif sighed, picked up a sword from the wall, and started swinging.
  22. "I'm a Narrator. I can do anything!" He snapped, summoning a bacon donut for emphasis. Erif dropped the tapestry he'd been inspecting and teleported to where Gail was. "Did you find it?"
