  1. More or less, though I imagine we'll be a little more intentional than that "Do we want to anger the Brave Adventurers even further, though?" TP, displeased at being pushed aside, huffed out a steam of fire that narrowly missed the pad.
  2. Ah, I understand now. Thanks! TP the Plan-beast began to snuffle at the pad hungrily. The Great Wizard prophesied that certain people might claim one of the two Blades in question. The current plan is to watch carefully for that to happen, then claim the Blade. "I doubt he'd listen to us," someone pointed out. "We did storm their meeting." Nogard winced. "Oh, yeah. Well... I guess that just leaves the Dreamsmith. Would he be willing to help us?"
  3. "What if we vouched for you?" suggested Nogard. "Might he listen to someone new?"
  4. Used to? Nogard wondered but didn't ask. "Yeah," he agreed. "I feel like he always knows what he's doing and where he's going. And I... well, I don't. Not always." He met Subversion's eyes. Those deep, gray, beautiful eyes. "But right now... I think I do."
  5. I would say that Prismite generates Narrative energy. Narrators can take any shape they want, although many stick to human forms. "Is there really no way to make amends?" Nogard laughed ruefully to himself. I guess I deserve that. "My older brother Erif, I guess," he said in answer to Subversion's question. "He was always so focused, so determined. Do you have any siblings?"
  6. Well, in the same way that Narrators are 'made of' Narrativium.
  7. Well Luxsprites are made of Luxite, sooo... I suppose he could have just mimicked the physiology of a Luxsprite, but that wouldn't do much.
  8. "Your betrayal?" asked Nogard. "I..." Good morning, Nogard! Good morning Nogard! Good morning Nogard! The words wouldn't come out. He looked down. "It's a small town, in the middle of nowhere. Generic name. You probably haven't heard of it." He glanced back up and forced a smile. "What about you? Where did you come from?" "I can empathize with that," said Nogard. "But prophecies like these are rarely wrong."
  9. I think I follow that far, but are they connecting to things outside of TLT? And what does it mean that the copies would just replace things over and over again? "Well, we were thinking of asking the Valiant One to join us in our quest." Making luxite requires more than just light and order together, though. The Ennullers wish it were that easy Nogard dutifully recounted the words that the Great Wizard had shared. "It seems only right to call it a prophecy, even if it isn't exactly a traditional one." he added. "Important quests are supposed to have prophecies, right?"
  10. What was the build up? Where did all the ordered light energy come from? Why did I say Tull I'm losing my mind >.< So what exactly is going on with all this copying? "We're making a plan," affirmed Nogard. "We're going to try and recruit the people in the prophecy we think will be amenable to our cause. The rest... well, we'll figure that part out later."
  11. What- Uh, that definitely was not the original Xino was a Luxsprite who became the first Narrator, in the process losing all his memories. Yadda Yadda Yadda a bunch of stuff happens, the Witherlord attacks, Xino remembers his heritage in dramatic fashion and defeats the Witherlord. Tull, you don't know anything about the barrier between TLT and everything else, right? That's because it is really cool. But it also doesn't happen out of nowhere.
  12. Well yes, but actually no. You have no idea What is your understanding of Luxsprite Xino? In flagrant violation of the lore, I might add "Oh! Well, that's good, I suppose. Does that mean that Tull will stop getting attacked?"

the man screamed. "You thought to defy me," snarled Tom Joebob. "You thought to turn them against me, to steal rule for yourself. Well. Now you pay the price for your defiance." He turned the machine on once more, more powerful than ever. Rage and hate and pleasure blended together inside of him as he watched his enemy suffer. And then- Ralvan began to laugh. Just a chuckle at first, so quick Tom might have missed it. Then a giggle, his chest spasming slightly. Finally a long, drawn out, maniacal cackle. It was a laugh of fury and malice and joy- and Tom Joebob realized with a shock that it paralleled his emotions exactly. With some desperation he reactivated the machine, pouring more and more power into it until it could take no more. But no matter what he did, Ralvan would not stop laughing. "Fool," spat Ralvan at last, his mouth twisted into a mockery of a grin. "I do not fear pain. I do not fear Death. I do not fear anything." His eyes glinted with hate. "Unlike you. So full of fear. No matter how many times you give it up, you always find your way back to it." His eyes glinted with malice. "Tell me, Tom Joebob. Where are your family? Your friends? Your subjects? You thought yourself so clever, hiding them away. Pushing them away." "Safe," snarled Tom Joebob, but his heart had begun to tremble. "Safe from your lies. They would never betray me." At this, Ralvan devolved once more into laughter, until it seemed he could no longer breath. "Indeed," he replied, his face alive with hateful glee. "They never will." Tom's heart stopped. Surely he couldn't mean... no. That was impossible. It was impossible. He fled the cavern, Ralvan's laughter chasing after
  14. Erif supposed that his limited understanding would have to suffice. "Tull will be fine, right? Because of this 'Mirth' person?"
  15. Erif went cross eyed. "Uh... could you explain again in more detail?"
  16. Erif's eyes glazed over. "Uh... yeah. I understand." (He did not understand.) Erif frowned. "Is he... alright?" Are you talking about the Narrator erasure? Cause that wasn't me I was just salty because the Narrator in question was part of plots I had planned and I thought "hOw caN I maKe PloT iF oNe oF the cHarActerS iS Gone!? " Narrator Xino did get his powers stolen, but that was entirely my own idea. (Side note @The Halcyon Girl Nogard is very concerned about Gail's announced departure, seeing as she's one of the prophesied potential Plotblade procurers.)
  17. Nogard shivered at the darkness. Somehow, even though the slide was made entirely of fluffy bunnies... he could feel something calling from within it, beyond the edges of reality. He looked away. "Well. Maybe the Valiant One would be willing to join our cause. We could start there, at least." Ah, one of the age-old conundrums of TLT. How can you determine who wins when all of the characters are omnipotent? "Ah," said Nogard, temporarily rendered unable to form coherent speech. "I don't think I've heard of Hacob. Do you mean Yacob? He can be a little crotchety, but he's nice!"
  18. See my earlier points :P. Also I don't think it counts as action if the involved parties are both ignoring the other person's attacks.
  19. "Wait!" said Nogard, alarmed. "You're leaving?" @The Halcyon Girl "Oh, yeah," said Nogard. "Well, this Madness character sounds like she's not going to be terribly cooperative. And it seems like it'll also be a challenge to get the Brave Adventurer to agree to not try and use the power of the Plotblades, considering."
  20. Nogard winced. That must have hurt. I don't want to do it either XP but nobody wants to read people arguing about lore, that's boring.
  21. Bruh if you make me bring Onyx out he's not gonna be happy
  22. "...yeah that's definitely not going to work on him."
