    Nogard stared horrified at The Baron and his horrifying weapons of horror. He grabbed his brother, who seemed to have been stunned speechless by events. "OA!" he called. "Can you make us an escape route?"

    With a monumental effort of will, Selppaenip refrained from disarming the assassin and made his order- ten of everything on the menu. Nogard let out a scream as he focused all his energy on the spear. Lightning flared to life around him. Come on, come on, come on... There was a sudden wrenching in his mind. He stumbled to a stop. So did all the muffins in the room. Nogard blinked. He made a slight effort of will, and the muffins quivered in the air. "Huh," he said. "That's useful." He raised the spear, commanding the muffins to sweep around the room in a whirlwind of baked goods.

    "Help would be appreciated!" called Nogard.

    "We're trying to help those people escape!" declared Nogard. "Sequence, Arranis, now would be a good time to use those weapons of yours!" @Sequence @Scars of Hathsin

    I don't think you can follow them yet I think you have to fight your way free of @NameIess's Brave Adventurers. Nogard leapt from the balcony, summoning the spear of Instakans. It crackled with lightning as he fell. Come on, he thought, mentally urging it to do something.

    Yrank shifted position slightly, revealing the person standing behind him (trying very hard to become invisible through sheer force of will.) Nogard gasped. Erif was here? More than that- he was getting arrested! Nogard made a snap decision. "Shoe! We're breaking these people out of confinement! Fire the muffins!"

    "Oh, forget it," grumbled Qodi, going back to her muffin.

    "If only someone here knew how to speak rabbit!"

    "Get ready to fire if they notice us," Nogard said grimly. "If only there was someone who had been watching the entire time," said Qodi sarcastically.

    "Uh oh," said Nogard, paling slightly. "He's looking right at us. Uh, Shoe, you wouldn't happen to have a distraction?"

    "Yes, a recent acquisition- but we need to help Yrank! He's getting arrested!" Qodi paused mid-nibble. "Good. Maybe you can tell these fools what's been going on."

    "Sounds pretty useful to me!" said Nogard, impressed. "My magic weapon can't do that. Er... at least, I don't think it can. I'm still not entirely certain what it does, exactly." Nogard squinted. "Hey, wait a minute- that's Yrank! What's he doing down there?"

    "You probably want to tell your friends," urged Qodi. "They'll want to know." Nogard oohed appreciatively. "What do they do?"

    "Finally!" groused Qodi. She proceeded to give an account of the entire meeting up to that point- how the Brave Adventurer had revealed the existence of two new Plotblades of terrifying power, how he had accused the absent Great Wizard of concealing that fact for personal gain, and how the group currently being arrested had been accused of being said Great Wizard's spies. "Which I doubt they are," she finished. "They aren't rabbits." "Nice to meet you too, Sequence! Have you come to join our quest?"

    "Well, I don't think we've been introduced." Nogard extended his hand. "My name's Nogard - what's yours?" "Can you understand what I'm saying?" questioned Qodi, still in Rabbit.

    Hi Sequence! Nogard blinked. "Oh! Hello. You're new! Do you speak rabbit?"

    "Owls are stupid," declared Qodi vehemently.

    "Typical," said Qodi in Rabbit, sighing. "Nobody bothers learning Rabbit anymore."

    "It looks like the meeting room of the Brave Adventurers to me," whispered Nogard. "Er... Does anyone speak rabbit?"

    "Really?" asked Nogard with fascination as the group passed through the portal. "You'll have to show us!" @The Halcyon Girl and @Scars of Hathsin also. The group emerged into a shadowed recess with a prime vantage point to observe the currently ongoing arrests. Waiting there for them was Qodi. As soon as the final member stepped through, she began chattering in Rabbit.
