    The pair snuck through the forest for a bit until the sound of the monsters was far behind them, masked by the sound of the rain. "I think we lost them," said the voice- which Tull could now see belonged to a tall, redheaded man. "Man, those things creep me out."

    Qodi hopped off the ceiling and nuzzled Shoe's pocket.

    Nogard would have wondered why Shoe was getting down, but this was Shoe.

    Nogard gasped. "Infiltrate?" He turned to OA questioningly. "Get down!" hissed the voice. "They'll see you!" The trees rustled, droplets of water dislodging and splashing to the ground as something approached through the trees.

    Nogard waited patiently for an answer to his question.

    "Over here!" hissed a voice.

    I'm gonna say they are standing in a cave at the foot of the mountain and haven't gone anywhere.

    "Well, that settles it," said Nogard decisively. "I'm going! Now, what exactly is it we're going to do? Do we know yet?"

    Nogard sighed and looked at his shoes. "I guess older promises take precedence... I'm sorry G-" He suddenly sneezed. He blinked. That had almost felt like... fur? He looked up. Sitting on the ceiling was a rabbit with a name tag that read "Qodi". "Huh," said Nogard.

    Nogard pondered this, torn. He turned to Shoe. "Shoe, I don't know what to do. This quest could be exactly what I need!"

    Nogard gasped. "A quest with the Brave Adventurers? Shoe, did you hear that? This... this is the chance of a lifetime!" He paused suddenly. "But... Qodi... I promised I would find her..." He paced back and forth, clearly torn. "Are you sure you can't help find her?"

    "Hmm. I'd feel kind of bad if we joined this quest and it only led us further from Gail's rabbit... What did you say this quest was, again?" Probably still trailing behind the group lol

    "Oh!" remarked Nogard. "Hey, OA! Nice to see you again so soon." Nogard blinked. "Did you say quest? Of course I'm interested! We are currently in the middle of a rabbit finding quest, though. I don't suppose you know where the rabbit named Qodi is?"

    Wait, did he teleport Nogard and everyone else to OA? Or something else?

    Nogard watched the flying man pass. "I wonder where he's going?" he asked Shoe (somewhat rhetorically). I'm pretty sure OA portaled away and is somewhere else now.

    Selppaenip bowed and followed ... out the door. Outside, he paused. Master ... does not ride a mount, he realized. So I shall not either. He matched ...'s stride as they walked down the street. I hope that I am being normal, he thought to himself as he stuffed a would-be pickpocket goblin into a trash can.

    The "TP" Plan the Plan (also known as "The Plan Beast") stuck his head through the window and rumbled a greeting, accidentally setting one of the dishcloths on fire. "Under a mountain? Did you find any?" Nogard shook his head. "Never mind, that's off topic. Now, when you say under the mountain- you were spelunking?"

    "Glad to help!" Due to a strange quirk of literary physics, the distance to the mountain had been reduced to zero, and thus the story could continue without delay. "So," said Nogard, "What exactly were you doing with Qodi under the mountain, Gail?" "I will watch you with the eyes of a falcon," rumbled Selppaenip. "Also. TP requests Chinese food." This was a dramatic revelation worthy of dramatic gasps and quiet mutterings. Alas, neither Nogard nor his brother Erif were aware of this portentious portent.

    Nogard braced himself against the ground and gave a firm yank on Shoe's arm.

    "Well, uh. We're questing." Nogard shuffled. "I didn't want to leave you behind, so..."

    Nogard shuffled awkwardly. Could he really interrupt such contentment? "Er," he said after a few moments. "Are you interested in questing at the moment?"
