Can I have access to these RP stories? I've heard about KotC, but don't really know a whole lot about it.

That is true. And so I will, I suppose.

Tom Joebob was very hurt by that statement. So much hurt, in fact, that he set out to prove Narrator Jaywalk wrong.- 111828 replies

At that moment, the woman spoke. "I know you're in there, Tamika. Tom's not the only ones who has spies." Her voice was somewhat muffled, but it sounded eerily familiar in some way.
-
"It is protected. There's no way into this room we're in right now." He turned back to the screen. "All we need to do is get out of the tunnels. Then I can call backup."
-
Tom turned to AJ. "Who? Samika, or Thought?" For a brief moment, Samika vanished from all the screens. She reappeared a second later with her face turned away, hidden and unreadable.

-the world exploded with threads. Hundreds of them, swirling every which way, of differing lengths. Antonio looked at these and knew- this was what everything that was was made out of. He gasped silently, awed. Never in his entire life had he dreamed he would see such a sight as this. With a start, he realized that he and Rekaerb were drifting towards one of the threads. As they approached, he noticed another, smaller thread tying them to the larger strand. He had just enough time to wonder what that was before- -reality popped into existence around him, forming a battlefield of hundreds of shadowy creatures. Off to the side, he could see a tremendous stone giant laying defeated on the ground. He gasped again, still silently. What was this? Off to the side, he saw Rekaerb staring off into the distance at the stone giant. His expression was horrified. "No," he whispered. "No!" Antonio was suddenly distracted by a figure running across the field towards the stone giant and the two figures nearby. He couldn't see it clearly, but it looked strange, as if it were... All of a sudden he felt the presence of Silence. Had that always been there? Or had it just appeared? Regardless, now he knew. He was in the presence of one of the Masters of Silence, a skill level a lowly mime like him could only dream of. He bowed respectfully, by instinct, even though the figure probably wasn't paying attention to him. But why was he going to the fallen stone warrior?

Draug slept in one of the empty rooms upstairs. It was a deep sleep, untroubled by dreams. He hadn't slept this well for years.

Antonio the mime knocked on the wooden door. There was no response. He tried again, a little louder this time. It bothered him, making this sound; mimes were supposed to abstain from noise. No true master of silence would ever even think of knocking on a door. But then again, they had their own ways of getting past barriers. He wasn’t that good. Not yet. But maybe, someday… At last, the door opened. But the face behind it was not the one he’d been expecting. He frowned, and began to mime words. Rekaerb? What are you doing here? The man looked tired, as though the weight of the world had come down on his shoulders. He grunted when he saw the mime. “You,” he said. “What do you want?” His voice sounded as weary as he looked. Antonio hesitated for a moment. The pay? You know, for the mimes? He paused his hands, then continued. But where’s Xinoehp? Doesn’t he normally…? He trailed off as he saw Rekearb’s face get a far off expression. The man turned, still staring into space, and walked back into the room. Antonio hurried after him. Sir, he mimed frantically, What are you doing? Where is Xinoehp? Why are you here? But Rekaerb was focused on something else, and ignored his frantic waves of the hand. He walked over to one of the walls and began typing something in. Antonio silently sighed, turning to look around at the rest of the room. It suddenly struck him how… dead everything looked. Plants had withered, colors had faded, and the paint on the walls had begun to peel. He’d been here only a few days ago, and it hadn’t looked like this. What had happened? It had to have something to do with why Rekaerb was acting so weird. And that had to have something to do with why Xinoehp wasn’t here. Had something happened? Was it even possible for something to happen to one such as him? He was an Avatar, a being more powerful than any other you cared to name. What could possibly have driven him out of his home here? Antonio was distracted from his reverie by a click. He spun around, watching as the wall in front of Rekaerb opened up, revealing a vault inside. Inside the vault was a medium sized bag, which Rekaerb reached in and grabbed. The payment? wondered Antonio. He took a step closer to where the other man stood. Sir? he mimed. But Rekaerb paid no attention to him. The man’s attention was totally fixated on the bag in front of him. Slowly, he reached inside and pulled out a small, cubular object. Antonio let out a silent breath, speeding up his approach. It was the payment, then. That was a relief. He shuddered to think of what would happen if the mimes didn’t get their payment on time. He’d been worried for a moment that Xinoehp had forgotten the payment, that he’d been a bad choice to be the intermediary between the Council and the mimes. But his worries had proven unfounded. Or so it seemed. As soon as Antonio got within a few feet of Rekaerb, his head snapped up to look at the mime. Antonio froze, given pause by the intense and even wild look in the man’s eyes. “Queen of Shadows,” he whispered. His eyes unfocused for a second. Then he shook his head as if to clear it and rushed out of the room. Antonio yelped silently and ran after him. Where was he going? Didn’t he know how urgent that payment was? Unless he knew the way to the Silent Place –and he’d better not– the only way he’d be able to get that bag to the mimes was through Antonio. And what had what he said meant? Had it been some kind of oath? He’d never heard of any deity called Queen of Shadows. Although, admittedly, he hadn’t heard much of anything, having lived in the Silent Place most of his life. But that was besides the point. Most pressingly, Rekaerb seemed to be absconding with the mime’s payment. Antonio raced along the narrow corridor in desperate pursuit, but couldn’t quite match the man’s unnatural pace. Stop! he mimed desperately. But it was no use. Rekaerb wasn’t looking at him. Not for the first time, Antonio wished that he could speak with silence the way the masters could. His friend had figured it out, and he wasn’t even as close to dedicated to Silence as Antonio. It wasn’t fair, that’s what it was. It– His thoughts were cut off abruptly as the floor fell out from underneath him and he began to plummet. He looked down and barely repressed a scream. Underneath him was nothing- just a dark, empty blackness. True Silence, he thought. At once, he felt calm. He was of Silence; Silence would not hurt him. But what of the payment? He looked up and saw Rekaerb holding the cube he’d taken from the bag. He seemed to be saying something – “‘Queen of Shadows’” again? Whatever that meant. The man suddenly made a jerking movement and threw the cube. Antonio opened his mouth in horror. And then–
