    It appears that I am about to be lynched. How unfortunate. But, unless I'm counting wrong, it isn't quite LyLo yet- a mislynch this cycle will result in the village and elims being tied 2-2. I wish that I had more time to come up with some at least some sort of analysis, but I've already stayed up too late. I'll vote CadCom. Everyone else seems to think he's a likely candidate. I certainly hope you can block the elims this cycle, and that my death gives you information.

    And thus, the plot thickens. Will conflict with TLPW wreak havoc with interNarrator relationships? Will Pheonix work up the courage to tell Star how he feels? And what are those mimes up to, anyways? Come back during the next time we have a meta-plot to see!

    Narrator Pheonix smiled, feeling warmth and happiness surge through him. "Thank you," he said, looking her directly in the eyes. "That means a lot to me."

    Narrator Pheonix looked down at his feet. "I want to know someone cares," he whispered. "That if I vanished from this world right now, someone would remember me. Someone would miss me."

    Pheonix opened his mind to Star. It was lonely, being a Narrator. The only company you had was what you created yourself. And he'd gotten tired of that a long time ago. He hadn't really been around for very long. But it seemed like an eternity. He saw the other Narrators together, sometimes. Sometimes, he was even included in what they were doing. But he always felt like he was an outsider, like none of them really knew him. He couldn't converse the same way they did. He could Narrate, sure. He could add to the story. But the mysteries of 'small talk' had always evaded him. In his darkest moments, he'd considered giving up entirely. Erasing the character Narrator Pheonix and just letting the Narrative energy do its own thing. But he never did. And that was because of Star.

    Edahs hissed with anger and agony as the silver hit him. Pain, so much pain... but he had to focus. He needed the thoughts to find Nekorb. He raised his hand and charged at Alask, swinging his sharpened knuckles to knock Lena out of the way.

    Reylf's lips curled upwards. "Which one?"

    Reylf nodded slowly. "I've stayed my whole life here." He paused, then sighed. "At least, all my life I can remember." Then he brightened. "But it's certainly been exciting, living in the Alleyverse. I've only been in the city for a few months, and I've already been targeted for recruitment into..." he broke off, counting on his fingers. "Three gangs? No, four. Not even including the guilds."

    Edahs let out a twisted scream as the silver hit him, leaving a hardened skin wherever it touched. He jumped back to let the ingot fall to the floor, and glared at Alask with the eyes he didn't have, hissing all the while. He raised his hands and pulled shadow-acid from them, shooting twin jets of the painful liquid at him and hardening the backs of his fingers into sharpness.

    Rekaerb watched the proceedings with awe, clapping with the rest of the crowd. This... this truly was the most powerful guild in the Alleyverse. There was so much potential for him here. Maybe, one day, that'll be me. It would take time, of course. But he had time. And he knew how to get more. Suddenly, a question popped into his head. Something that Voidus had said... He raised his hand, a little uncertainly, hoping and fearing that someone would call on him.

    In all truth, all But*'s were summoned. Pheonix's heart began to pound. "Does that mean...?" he trailed off, afraid of what the answer might be.

    Pheonix turned as she approached, looking through tear-filled eyes. He blinked twice to clear his eyes, then spoke. "Star?" he whispered.

    Narrator Pheonix shuddered. I... I... His voice broke. I... He crumpled to his knees and wept.

    Pheonix closed his eyes. What, indeed? This was a time of triumph, of happiness. Why did he feel so dark inside? I don't know, he admitted to Star after a pause. I thought... He trailed off. Narrative! How was he going to say this?

    Pheonix raised dull eyes to meet those of Jaywalk's. It was a nice gesture, what he had done. But he didn't understand. He couldn't. He'd accepted his position as a character in the tale. Just as he himself had.

    Pheonix hung in the balance. He was close. So close to erasing his feelings and stepping back. But then he realized; it wasn't permanent. Marsh wouldn't stay. He still had a chance. So why did he still feel so cold?
