    Jimmy ate the juniper berries. Xinoehp felt the icy grip of unnatural fear radiating from the dark being. It was strong- he almost wanted to just give in and let it take him. But instead he clenched his spear of light ever tighter in his fists, determined to resist whatever happened. Even if- Ah, interrupted the figure in a droll tone. So honorable. It's adorable, really. Quick as a snake, a tendril of darkness shot out of the thing. Xinoehp flicked the spear up and cut through it, faster than seemed possible even to him. He glanced at his hand in surprise then quickly flicked his gaze back up to the monster. "What was that?" he challenged. "What do you want? Who are you? I don't-" Ah-ah-ah, interrupted Withy. No time to bother with questions. You'll be dead soon, anyways, so it hardly matters. "What?" gasped Xinoehp, but there was no time for surprise. Three more tentacles had launched themselves at him, shadowy surfaces shifting. He cut through them with ease, but more seemed to be coming even as he did so.

    Ah yes, Sorana's comment was super positive. I have an idea, though I don't know if you'll like it. As it stands, nobody knows Draug has been kidnapped - and it might not occur to them even when they discover he's missing. The much more likely explanation would be that he just up and left, especially since he didn't know them well and has a built-in method of transportation. And if someone does think of it, I'm not at all convinced that they'd rouse the whole party to go after him on this off chance it happened, if they even could. (For example, OOC I'd of course want to rescue a character, but Cassie has no reason to care. She's not the type to save someone for the sake of saving them, not when she's known them for so little time.) And I don't want that to happen. I wouldn't wish apathy on my worst...okay actually my worst enemies deserve it most people, because I know apathy and it sucks. I don't want you to leave, either. But I also don't want anyone else to leave, and I don't want other people stressing out about this, and at this point this is causing so much pain and misery on all sides - why not just let it end? If you let the rigidity go and just RPed, it might help? I don't think that'll help. It's not where or how this is happening, it's that it's happening.

    "WRONG," declared Tom Joebob in a bored tone. He snapped his fingers, and a new back wall materialized into existence, exactly the same as the old one With almost precise abandon, Tom chucked his iBall onto the lane. It rolled straight all the way down the aisle until the very end. Then, it suddenly blurred- and a moment later, every other pin in the alley fell over. "Wait for it..." said Tom There was a crash behind the group. At the front desk, the cabinet that had formerly held a full set of bowling pins was now broken- and the pins were all over the floor. Knocked over. "Truthless, 300." Tom smirked slightly. "Tom Joebob, 310."

    Xinoehp glanced at Sophie, a smile forming on his face. Then he stiffened. He spun around to face the dark figure that had just landed behind him. Congratulations on escaping the trap, by the way, continued the figure. And my thanks. You just won me a hundred grand. He chuckled. Jvxqyz would have bet more, but I talked him out of it. He doesn't know you as well as I do- it just wouldn't be fair to take any more... Psst! whispered Aqua, off to the side. Sophie! Over here! Her voice was panicked. Before he notices you!

    Sometimes, I don't want to visit the site. Each into a hundred more withergeists. The cloud of black phantoms gave one final cry. Then all rushed towards Jimmy at once. Dark power flooded Jimmy as each spirit absorbed into him, merging with his spirit. He gasped and fell to his knees. It was overwhelming. Then, after a moment, he stood up. He let out a maniacal cackle. He knew now why his skill at defusing was so important. If he could defuse a bomb... he could defuse a person as well. All he had to do was cut the red wire. With the glint of insanity in his eyes, he began making his way towards the nearest population center.
