  1. But her tears were delicious. And the breadmunk army was desperately in need of a metabolism catalyzer.
  2. It gave a squeak and jumped back in. With loud slurps, it drank her saliva to catalyze its insane metabolism.
  3. Pikes nods in satisfaction. Not bad, Avanti, he thinks as he jogs towards the target. The man has more talent for Lightweaving in his little finger than half the department. Although for the life of him, he can't fathom why the man chose to take only one spike instead of the maximum three. Few people willing to use hemalurgy limit themselves in such a fashion. He himself can only remember one other. One particular other. He pauses a step, and a shadow passes over his face for a brief second- but in the next, it's gone, vanished as if it had never existed. Pikes is not a man to dwell on regrets. And he has a job to do. The target is crouching behind the wagon, out of sight of the crowd. Pikes can feel the fear radiating off the man as he approaches him. It's hardly unexpected. This is the undercity, after all; home of thieves, murderers, hemalurgists, peasants, and many others with good reasons to despise noblemen. One wrong step, and he'll be feeding the worms before he can even open his mouth to call his guards. The man knows this. Pikes knows that he's knows this. And he's counting on the man's fear to make him more susceptible to his attack. Carefully, yet with a sense of urgency, Pikes taps the man on the shoulder. "Quickly!" he hisses. "Come this way! Before they catch you!" He taps a massive burst of Connection at the same time, forging the power into a link between them. If he's done it right, it should make the man trust him. And once you had a man's trust, you had him in the palm of your hand. @Ricocheting Windrunner
  4. Your curse is the parasite, then. It controls your every action like a zombie bee fungus for humans.
  5. Granted. However, you no longer have the power to comprehend English. Your posts will be made by an insidious parasite that has taken over your brain. I wish for rof hsiw I.
  6. Surprisingly, they were fairly evenly matched.
  7. Granted. Creation is a dangerous power, however, and not one that is without limits. While you can create anything you draw, you must collect the raw materials needed to make that item first. I wish for infinite time.
  8. Dalinar retaliated with a pro-level Consumption action.
  9. If you burn enough lerasium, you become Preservation.
  10. Pheonix gazed after Heather sadly. He sighed. "I've made things worse, haven't I?"
  11. Pikes stops tapping for a moment. "Can you create a diversion?" he murmurs to Avanti. "Distract the others?" @Ookla the Maybe-Existent
  12. Pikes maneuvers his way forwards through the crowds clogging the subterranean passageways. He stores Connection as he does so, storing the weak bonds between him and the world around. It adds a bit of challenge to his walk- people don't notice him very well while he's storing, meaning his steps tend to get partially blocked by oblivious passerby. But Pikes has never been one to quit because of challenge, and the extra Connection could prove useful. Besides, he has his colleague with him, clearing a path through the crowds ahead of him. And very effective he is; while hemalurgists must conceal themselves in the overcity, where guards patrol every alley and sidestreet, here they can declare themselves openly. The people of the undercity may have little love for the rebellion, but they do have respect. And, possibly, hope- hope that the oppressive hand they labor under will, someday, be lifted. @Ookla the Maybe-Existent

  15. Pheonix chuckled. "The hand motion is unnecessary. Just... imagine something. Then make it real."
  16. Having so many essence marks is probably infeasible. Likely the character would only have four or five, total. Altering a person with forgery is much harder than altering an object.
  17. Thousands of years ago, the luxsprites ruled. It was a time of light and of happiness. Across the threads and throughout the universes, there was peace. Creatures of darkness and shadow dwelt only within the Void, where no light shone and they could do no harm. And it was all thanks to the luxsprites. From their dwelling place in Mount Illumina, beams of radiance were crafted that wove through every subverse and node. The Factory of Light, as it was called, served as a beacon of hope and peace for all for thousands upon thousands of years. Until, one day, it all fell apart. The luxsprite stood at the summit, totally and utterly stunned. Down below, sinister spirits of darkness crawled up through the mountain. His home. "Awed?" called a voice softly from behind him. The sprite jumped and spun around, eyes wide open and quivering, terror evident on his young face. He stared up at the newcomer, unable to speak. The newcomer, a creature of shadows in the guise of a man, knelt to look the youngling in the eye. "Like monsters out of legend, aren't they?" he whispered in the same quiet, scratchy voice. "Just waiting for a hero to come and defeat them..." He turned his eyes away and downwards, towards the carnage below. He smiled. "But no hero is coming," he said. "And so the shadows will reign." The young sprite cowered further as the monster's gaze turned back, the horrible smile still etched across his face. "It's funny," he said. "Just when you think you have it all... you lose it."
  18. They found themselves with a shortage of food.
