    A character from Fallen. A scene, a few months back. The backstories of most of my characters in that continuity originate in the Alleyverse. But the powers don't make any sense as Epic powers. Like I said, it's more of a magical skill than a superpower.

    Yes? I mean, they are sort of connected already. Silence magic was originally designed for the Alleyverse- I'm not advocating for allowing anything else. Oh...I see, okay. We do need polls for worldbuilding now, then? Well, in theory anyone could learn it, although it would be impractical for most; it's more of a magical skill.

    A hissing sound came from beyond the forcefield and a withergeist floated up. It touched the forcefield, sending out black sparks where it made contact.

    It would not be the Voidmaking per se, no. Voidmaking draws on a place of nothingess (the Void) for power, right? Silence magic does the same thing, drawing on Silence.

    Abigail blinked, taking a closer look at the screen. Flit? Here? In HQ? That could only mean... A slow smile spread across her face. Hah! I knew she could do it. "Congrats," she whispered. "Got here at last, huh?" The sound of a swivel chair interrupted her thoughts. "Hmm?" asked its occupant, a twenty-ish man with black hair. "Say somethin', Abi?" Abigail shook her head, "Nothing important. Someone I knew from Records HQ. Looks like they're getting a promotion." The chair swiveled. "That old dump? Congrats to them, I say." The man rolled over to take a closer look at the screen she was staring at. "That her, eh? Reckon we be seeing her here in a day or two?" "Who knows?" replied Abigail, turning back to her work. "If I had to guess, yes. But who knows?"

    Oh, come on, said Aqua drily, not all mountains are like that. I've met some rather nice mountains in my time, in fact.

    To be honest, I've never thought about where the powers come from. Silence, I guess... the idea of Silence? Not a Shard, though. It's more like Voidmaking than anything else, I think.
