  1. Whilst we do not discuss his unpublished works, is there a way to obtain them? Especially if you live in the UK?
  2. I dreamed I met Sanderson at the supermarket, beat him in game of MTG, and he told me a cosmere secret as a prize. He told me: Hoid isn't a Shard But he is a Sliver. I woke up exited to Bragg about my newfound knowledge, only to realise it was a dream, I had overslept, and was running late...
  3. Why did Ruin not splinter Preservation? Why did preservation need to work with ruin to create life, where as endowment appears to have done so alone. Is there a difference, other than size and strength between breaths and divine breaths? Could Nightblood have been weakened using only regular breaths, or were divine breaths necessary? Are regular breaths splinters? Why does splintering appear to kill some shards, and merely weaken others?
  4. Yelig-nar and Moelach and Cusicesh? I have read WOR recently, but don't remember those names. Mind enlightening me?
  5. Sanderson has said a few times that future books in SA won't be as long as the first two - because by this point we know the characters and setting better. But who knows? I would love a 2015 release!
  6. I heard somewhere that Liar has Rayse, Bavadin, Tanavast and Hoid (known as Midas?) as main characters in it, and it ends with the Shattering... Anyone have confirmation on that?
  7. That... Is Genius. Nightblood... That's awesome!
  8. I have vague recollections of encountering Three New Shards, though I can only remember the name of two of them. Avarice - had a magic system involving greed, and transmutation, I believe. Something similar to breaths, but instead of discrete packets of investiture, it was a continuous stream, a bit like stormlight - which could be used to manipulate the physical properties of matter. Stiffness, brittleness, temperature, etc. The second was called Enlightenment - and had a magic system involving plenty of books, and long incantations, and an alphabet of 99 letters. The thing was, these incantations could not be "Heard" so to speak. Even if read aloud. You had to read them in the written form, and say aloud - though you wouldn't be able to remember exactly what was said.
  9. Allow me to explain. I believe we have it WOB, that when a shard is invested on a planet - they cannot leave. At least, not without leaving a large portion of their strength behind. Therfore, I hypothesis, that the Oathpact - or whatever it is that binds Odium, will be totally shattered by the end of the SA. The SA will not end with Odium's defeat - but with his release. If the KR destroy the Voidbringers, and break Odium's power on Roshar, he will no longer be bound to Roshar - and will be free to continue his rampage across the cosmere. The pattern of the Heralds - Winning a great battle - then being tortured and hurt - before starting the cycle again, in order to protect Roshar, is therefore a direct reflection of Roshar's role in the cosmere. The Planet is constantly ravaged by Odiums power every desolation - even when they win the battles - essentially being tortured, over and over in order to protect the Cosmere. Hoid is trying to defeat Odium directly - without unlocking his power, by keeping him occupied and invested. The only way to defeat him, would be to splinter him. So therefore, I speculate that Hoid's plan is to reform Honor - and use its power to splinter Odium, before it cna be released. I wonder if Honor could be "Resurrected" with the heralds and KR, though it would be very different than before. Not Tanavast - a new shardbearer would need to take its power. I know this is slim, and is more mindless speculation then any real theory. Its just guesswork, and extrapolation. Wild conjecture. Have fun.
  10. I... took it to mean that Szeth is going to return as a Skybreaker. I am also wondering if a Shardblade, is a Sword/Weapon powered by a Shard. Shardblades are made of Spren - which are splinters of Honor. Nightblood is powered by Breaths. I am wondering if Nightblood required Divine Breaths to Awaken. If that is the case, then it is powered by a splinter of Endowment.
  11. I wonder, if the Spren which can bond with the KR, are Dawnshards? So Cryptics, Honorspren, Highspren atc are Dawnshards?
  12. 17th Shard appears to be the name of an Organisation, named after the the Shards. From what little we know about them - look as if they are "Good Guys" but are firmly opposed to Hoid's meddling. Hoid is not a member, but has had dealings with them.
  13. Did Kelsier continue to exist and influence events (holding preservation for example) by existing in Shadesmere? (Assuming he says yes) Is he at that point, in a vein similar to the Spren or the Stormfather? Could Kelsier exploit the Nahl Bond as if he were a spren?
  14. I am thinking that the Stormlight Archive will be the catalyst to the wider Cosmere Story. We know that he plans 36 books... I think the last Stormlight archive will be the point when we know what is going on, where is happening... I am beginning to suspect that Odium is a distraction - that there is a greater evil at work, manipulating the shards against one another... I have no evidence for this - but I would love the brightest and best characters of the Cosmere to gather on Roshar, in preparation for this finale... Just mindless speculation there... I hope you are right. I would love the characters to start coming together...
  15. Could a Seon/Skaze become a Shardblade? Or something very similar?
  16. So are all Breath's Splinters of Endowment? I have a threory that the Mists, Stormlight, and Breaths, are all the same thing - but dependant on the Shard. Not splinters though. We have confirmation that the Mists are not splinters - and I don't believe Regular breaths are splinters either...
  17. I knew Jasnah would return - since her other Surge was transportation. I didn't know if she phased (My own term for entering shademere) or teleported, or whatever, since I didn't know how the surge worked... But I suspected she survived. Now Szeth getting his nice new sword - that Really took me by surprise.
  18. Odium + Ruin: Cruelty
  19. Hmm... Spoiler Heavy here. Did Nightblood's creation involve Divine Breaths? Could a Seon/Skaze be crafted into a Shardblade? The Reason I speculate this, is that Shardblades are made from Spren - which we know to be splinters of Honour/Cultivation. Since Nightblood is referred to as a Shardblade, but has no connection to Honour, I speculate that it has a splinter of Endowment within it (A Divine Breath) - and is therefore a "Shardblade" as it hold the splinter of a Shard. A Seon-Blade would confirm this theory. Asking if it was Awakened with A Divine Breath, might be a way to slip past the RAFO's... Anyone have any thoughts?

  21. The best way of playing for me, Is Commander. You play with a 100 card deck, with only one copy of each. Its expensive to start, but because its singleton, you never feel like ou are playing the same cards over and over, and updating is usually pretty inexpensive, because you only do it as you can afford it one card at a time.
  22. Huh. Really? Morons belief God has a physical body? What was the purpose of the incarnation then? EDIT: Not trying to start an argument - just surprised and curious. Sorry if that didn't convey.
  23. You know, when I read the title, I thought you were talking about a stage show. I instantly thought "Mistborn, the west-end Musical", and thought. "huh?"
  24. Hmm. Sanderson likes to mess with us... We are making a few asumptions here... Now I think about it, we don't know how long Yolen-ians usually live. There are plenty of legends in greek mythology, hell, even in Jewish/Christian mythology, that the "first" generation of humans, lived unusually long life spans. Adam for instance, is stated to have lived nearly 1000 years. In greek mythology, the Promethian Humans, were said to live shorter lifespans than the first generation of humans... Its baseless speculation, but since Yolen was the origin of human life in the Cosmere, perhaps they have some special properties - such as apparently, the ability to get access to every magic system (granted, they are not born with it).
  25. For me, this reeks of Cadium Bubles. Now Hoid didn't obtain Lersaium until a while later, but we know from Light Weaving that, sometimes the same powers develop seperatly from different systems... I am guessing another magic system we haven't seen yet. Or, he might have some kind of magical Statis Chamber... Given that the cosmere will eventually become sci-fi.
