  1. So the logical conclusion is that they’re from Era 1, I don’t get how they jumped to Era 0. Or they could just be the same type of metal, Ferrings usually have multiple Metalminds. Miles Hundredlives had had dozens.
  2. Yes, yes you may.
  3. Don’t let this thread die! I don’t have people to play DND with and this is the next best thing.
  4. The two shards we don’t know are believed to be something along the lines of Wisdom and Prudence. Logic and Wisdom are most likely the same thing. Hoid doesn’t really trust Sazed, or at least, Sazed definitely doesn’t trust Hoid. Hoid has no sway over Sazed, and he had nothing to do with Sazed being the one to ascend to Harmony. Hoid already has some sort of long term plan, and it’s been in motion for over 11000 years before Jasnah was born.
  5. I don’t know why people are still ‘theorizing’ about this. When I read that in the book, I didn’t read it as a ‘hey I see a connection here’ I read it as a blatant ‘THIS IS A REVEAL’. The way that scene is written, it feels like a reveal. He isn’t dropping hints, he is blatantly telling us. I don’t think Brandon intended for it to be vague, I think that he intended anyone who knows about the cosmere to immediately realize who it is. It isn’t theory fodder, it’s a reveal. I think the only thing that kept him from directly naming Kelsier is that he didn’t want to make people feel like they have to read Mistborn now.
  6. Ooo I got it. I’ll spoiler it so other people can guess.
  7. I just found out about Electro Swing...

      It’s like jazzy 1920’s music

but then made electric and modern

      It’s so good

‘April Showers’ by Proleter is currently my favorite.

  8. (Did my best to fix your spelling.) 1. He was only a steward, I don’t think he would’ve been friends with the King, so outside of patriotism I don’t really see a reason for why he would’ve been sad. 2. So he was from the Kholin princedom then. Easy enough explanation. 3. I didn’t say random, I said independent. He can still be important while not being affiliated with one of the worldhopping groups.
  9. I just wanna say that Kelsier is also one of my favorite characters. And I absolutely think he is absolutely responsible for all the things the ghostbloods did. He is dangerous, sociopathic, and, from some perspectives, absolutely evil. I don’t think the two opinions are mutually exclusive. And for the people who think that Kel is just a morally upstanding guy who wouldn’t ever kill anyone who didn’t deserve it, here’s some WoBs.
  10. My guess is that the steward is an independent worldhopper who just wanted to live on Roshar. My evidence for this is that he seems genuinely sad when he hears that Gavilar was killed. I think that would only happen if he was genuinely patriotic, and that would only happen if he had lived on Roshar for a long time. I don’t know why Mraize would kill him though, that’s a bit weird. If he actually was independent why would the GBs be interested?
  11. Oooooooh yeah, I forgot about that scene. Huh. Good catch. Do we know if the girl had more than one Breath? I wonder if we can extrapolate anything from the fact that her Breath ‘flickered’. Maybe Vasher temporarily took her Breath, modified it, and gave it back?
  12. Really? What event? I had this same thought, like, we know Hoid is trying to have access to every kind of magic right? We don’t know why, but he is. However, the only way to become a Feruchemist if you aren’t born one is via Hemalurgy, and Hoid wouldn’t want to put himself under the influence of Ruin (now Harmony) like that. So my guess was that he did the next best thing and hacked Breath somehow to be able to do some of the same things Feruchemy can.
  13. OOOO! Last ing ent ted gritty Lasting Integrity! Someone else can go I don’t have one.
  14. I have no idea, that’s why I asked. I very much doubt 500+ people took the quiz, but maybe people took it multiple times?
  15. That many people took the quiz? I didn’t because I honestly thought that nobody else would...
  16. Internet says the nightmare demon is named Gritty, but I still can’t get it.
  17. Ugh, I switched back to my non-Christmas pfp and I don’t think I like it anymore. Without the hat I look naked. Any suggestions on a new hat? I’m thinking beanie, cause it’s still cold and winter and stuff, but it’s not really the holidays anymore.

  18. Wait is the livestream not a spoiler stream? So no cosmere questions? Saaaaaaaaaaaaaaad  =(

  19. I just realized I missed my 666 Torturer of Heralds screenshot

so if 111 people could go ahead remove an upvote from me, that’d be great. =P

      Spoiler

It’s a joke, don’t feel the need to remove your rep

      Spoiler

But if you want to anyway because this joke is dumb I wouldn’t blame you

  20. I don’t know about the Kal/Honor part, but it does definitely seem like Cultivation interacted with Syl. We definitely haven’t seen the end of Cultivation’s master plan, and it’s exciting to find out that Syl is involved somehow.

    A Quest!

Tualak gasped as the music resumed, but different this time. It was a song that he had never heard before, which was a notable fact in and of itself, but even more interesting is that he somehow knew what the song was about. The song had no lyrics, and yet it told an entire story. No... Many stories, all put together. The story of two people meeting as strangers but leaving as friends. The story of a brother returning home after many years abroad. The story of a king welcoming travelers into his court. The song sang hundreds of these stories every instant, and at the same time it sang none of them. Despite his fear, Tualak found himself drawn to play this unique song. He picked up his fallen instrument and plucked out the melody, echoing the mysterious voice.
  22. Do you ever get like, preemptive anxiety for situations that haven’t happened yet, and are unlikely to ever actually happen? Because I do. And I currently am. Here’s the situation: Meeting friends from the Shard at a signing or something. Like, what do I do? How do I greet you? Like, I know you, we’re friends, so it’s probably not super formal. But then I also haven’t actually met any of you. So handshake? High-five? Fist bump? Hug? Awkward side hug? Bridge 4 salute? Elbow touch? Star Trek Vulcan symbol of greetings into square-dance?

The only solution is to never go to a signing. Actually, let’s play it safe and never go out into public again. Yeah that feels right. Okay, crisis averted, I can sleep now.

I've met three Sharders and we just....talk about Sanderson stuff or whatever is happening at the time (ie hitting someone's car with a shopping cart

You didn't feel like it was the most awkward thing you've ever done? Because I definitely felt that way.

      Spoiler

Nevermind the fact that I always feel that way

  23. Wait, for real? You’re one of the actual official artists?!? That’s so cool! I didn’t know that any of you would be on the shard as like, normal users.
