  1. Ah yes I'd forgotten the exact wording. Guess it was actually fought in the Spiritual Realm then, if it's beyond Shadesmar. That would also explain why she needed to touch the Unmade; they had no Connection, and there's not something like distance in the Spiritual Realm, so the touching could double as a very rudimentary form of Connection, which then allowed her to fight.
  2. Does the battle not simply play in the Cognitive Realm, though? It seems to be a battle of willpower, which would, I assume, be Cognitive, or maybe even Spiritual. Of the Cognitive Realm we know for sure that Pattern appears as a full-sized man.
  3. I've already given up on not hearing SH spoilers, also because I already kind of knew what it was about before coming to the Shard. How would the "I am hope" fit with this, however, considering that he said that to the Lord Ruler (he did, right?) which, as far as I am aware, is before anything in SH, meaning he would not yet be Cosmere aware at that point.
  4. So, I assume you're referring to Kelsier here, but having not read MB:SH yet, can you elaborate on how and when he comes into contact with Elantrian magic?
  5. Remind me to come back to this topic in a week. (if I don't do so myself)
  6. Wasn't the Nahel bond formed after the Honorblades though, thereby automatically restricting the abilities of the bond to the abilities of the Honorblades?
  7. Sadly, it is actually my parent's book (I'm just a poor student who hasn't yet worked on getting an own impressive book shelf) and I couldn't take it with me when going back to my own place because there were more family members who wanted to read it. I'll probably get my own someday. Even if only to always have access to them when writing theories.
  8. I am very interested in what @Steeldancer is planning... (I should maybe worry a bit though)
  9. Role call? Edit: Oh wait, you mean who has the book? *raises hand*
  10. There's basic lashing (stuff used for flying; gravitation), full lashing (sticking something to something else; adhesion) and reverse lashing (pulling stuff to an object or (probably) away from it; gravitation). No mixed stuff.
  11. The Wheel of Time was the reason Brandon originally got into writing...
  12. I think the problem is that Brandon is deliberately creating a love triangle with Adolin - Shallan - Kaladin.
  13. He can probably direct the storm like he did here though, so it'd be a localized highstorm.
  14. I gotta be honest, I did not expect shipping to even remotely be a thing when I sought out a Brandon Sanderson fansite.
  15. To be fair I think Sylblade is a fanon term that Brandon kept using by accident and therefore made canon.
  16. Are you even trying? (read this in an amused tone btw)
  17. Can't see it.
  18. Original math was correct. 1.5x speed is 2/3rd of the time is 32 instead of 48 hours.
  19. That was a Reverse Lashing, which is Gravitation.
  20. Huh. I like this theory. A lot. Doubt just a bunch of squires would be enough, but hey, there's probably gonna be more Windrunners later on. We've got a 15 year gap after all.
  21. Relationships are good for sharing Brandon Sanderson's books with. They're less good when Oathbringer is sent two weeks early and you have to wait a day after arriving until someone else has finished it.
  22. I'm so going to enjoy reading all speculation. *evil grin*
  23. When you create a diversion, do it well.
  24. I got the book early. It's all correct. And yes, the "chapters" on Tor.com are fakes.
  25. I got it as well! Already over halfway through. Anyways, I guess I probably won't be posting much until November 14, but I sure will read all the crazy theories people are still gonna post the coming 10 days and laugh at all of them, either because they're so wrong or because they're actually correct. (oh, if people are feeling masochistic, just PM me and I'll think of some teasers to make the wait even harder)
