I had a good plan that involved threatening to shoot yourself to avoid conversion, but I think I better plan would be to solicit lots of suggestions but not commit to any one person. Either the villain will have to burn two charges on the off chance you target them, or Pat Sjack will spin the wheel of fortune and possibly be killed. Thanks! Black Fisher is who I'd like to be the lead actress of any Star Wars remakes. why didn't you use the one you made with Chantara/me? Does this leave Xino as the odd man out? That's helpful, if the claim isn't contested.

C1 PM had to be made by a villager, so that's NAI. Tani talked about 3 hours ago in our PM saying she thinks the PM was made at the start of C3 by Ash, I'm still waiting on GM confirmation. But the more relevant detail is she's active, so a filter kill is unlikely. That's a very late claim, so I'm suspicious of it. I imagine the elims will be the last to claim. But for now, I'm looking for people without role claims, so you're off my chopping block. Same with Elandera, who I forgot had a role. Assuming it's 6 votes to 4, even if we all vote for elims, if we all don't vote for the same elim, they can pick which elim they lose, which is a strategic advantage we need to be cognizant of. Kas, I won't quote your posts because I'm on mobile. But I don't think I disagree with anything you said. Except for me maybe being evil. :P. Anyone want to counterclaim my role? That's our big confirmation measure we're relying on this game. Plus, Chantara's activity levels explain the lack of manip in most cycles and her stated suspicion of the person she manipped onto matches. Re: Xino's action the time Mat messed with them. He might have soothed himself, but his vote came... from himself. Was he just trying to prove his role? I can see that. Otherwise, we have an unclaimed soother, right? That's interesting. Also, I'm definitely not voting Mat today, but if Tani flips Saj, there's the possibility he covered for her. Can't he have submitted the kill instead and said he targeted her while she did the conversion? Anyway, my biggest quibble with Tani is her C1 votes seemed off. Biggest issue with Xino is their lack of confrontational posting. I'm sure my thoughts yesterday about who was the best conversion picks were off in some ways, but at this point, I'm comfortable keeping pressure there until we can get defenses from them. Edit: my PM with Tani started in C3, so a C2 action made it

mat Alrighty, I've read up on the thread. Heres my thoughts, written as they came to me. At this point, I figure either Saj has been steadily converting and therefore doesn't have enough charges to tank a kill, so we can target them, or they have 2 charges saved so they only have 3 minions and. Welp. That'd be bad. Nevermind. But we could also coinshot them, right? All the role names are jumbling together now and I can't think of tactics. My focus is not on who might have been converted yesterday. Could be anyone. I'd rather look at who might have been evil in the earlier cycles, because we have a better idea about those. And even better, I'd rather just shoot Saj because it's a small shortlist that overlaps a lot with their likely minion choices. Elandera, Xino (pending me figuring out what Mat did to them), and Tani are good choices.

Veeda had been converted. She could feel her sense of purpose fading. She had tried to help, used her powers to shift the debate in what she thought had been the right direction, but it was too late. "Oh no," she whispered. "I'm becoming one of them. Odium help me. Wait-" V checked her reflection in the mirror. She didn't look any different than before. "Huh. Thought I'd appear more deranged. Maaaaaybe I misdiagnosed what type of conversion I've undergone." "Well duh," said the voice in her head. Not her normal voice. This one was more resonant. "You haven't flipped sides. You've just gone crazy!" She pondered that. It made sense. "Cool, cool." V did a backflip, because she could. "Weeeeee." "Weeeeeeeeee. Let's go kill some people." * In the interests of mechanically narrowing down who Sja is, I believe the best course of action here is to reveal that I am Nergaoul the vote manip. I moved Araris' vote to Illwei C2. Can someone tell me who hasn't roleclaimed yet? I'll find out eventually, but I suspect Kas can tell me faster. :P. Also, I received a PM with Tani that is still active. Apparently neither of us used it, so, village points for that I guess? Unopportunistic behaviour. I'm unsure what cycle it was made in. Village points to TUO and Az too, because of that convo. For e!Az it had bad optics because he might get exed for forcing a villager to give out info via lying. And TUO came up with their true roleclaim quickly enough that I believe its genuine and therefore they aren't Sja. Thanks for stopping me before I tried to make some PMs. Coulda been bad. :D. I think a smart Sja would claim the role of whoever they converted first, because they know we'll eventually shoot whoever doesn't claim for POE. But the elims will then have a member who can't claim a unique role, so someone without a unique role is evil. So my vote on you is coming off once I get a hold of a list of who has claimed. That said, usually villagers have follow up suspicions after an exe. Starting with me seems odd. Not totally evil, but like you're waiting to read the room before committing to a line of attack, which can be an evil move.

C'mon, at least make it a stab. :P. I can't tell if you actually suspect me if it's just a poke. But seriously, if you do suspect me, let me know why and I'll try to figure out some kind of a response. Or if you trust me, tell me that too! I know nothing at this point, so any info is good info. Howdy, all. I have been half following this game, but I haven't even read the rules yet, so I've got nothing useful to contribute. If you had a PM with Chantara, I'd appreciate it if you made one with me now and told me what we talked about. Mat should have better suspects at this point in the game, let's start with a vote there.

Wow, that game took a hard left turn in our favour. Still not entirely sure why, but well done, village! Illwei, Steel, well done fooling me. And Devo, good job getting me exed before you. Squirrel, your gambit was fantastic because you let me fool myself. I knew you weren't consulting anyone, but I assumed it was because you were really the Tineye, not you were lying altogether. Sidenote: the odds of a random villager block on you were so low. Crazy unlikely. Aye yi yi. Dalinar, I liked your style. Mint, I'm sorry for exing you. TJ, your reads were excellent. TUO, your play at the end had merit. I tried a different analysis strategy this time around, and technically, it worked. All the not e-e pairs were correct. The problem was it led me to avoid exing people I had lots of data on because later, they might have been clearable. That was a strategic error. And it wasn't really applicable until we had a flip, and if I used it to clear people, I'd have been wrong because there was a smaller than expected elim team. And once I added trusts, the whole thing broke. I think I'll try clocking not e-es in future games, but it needs to be as a secondary mode of analysis. Speaking of which, Araris you troll, I loved the distro. XD It's nice having a game that breaks the usual patterns. I wish I'd played the long game and lined up and shot better with the Overseer role, but I kept thinking if I pick someone I suspect, surely I'll be able to just exe them instead... Anyway, thanks for running the game, Araris, Elandera. I'm taking a break from SE while I transition into school, so I might miss a few games. Good game, all. This one was pretty fun to play and watch.

your exaggerated disinterest in this game actually triggers me so much As Mat decided to say, I've been telling everyone I didn't hit Elk OR Kas. The GM PM specifically said I failed to hit Devo, not that I was redirected anything, so heads up, the elims have a coinshot. I'm guessing it's a four person team. Chantara not picking a side is a little worrying. Especially if this is e/v, they checked, saw their person is safe, and decided adding a vote to me ties them to their teammate and adding a vote to their teammate isn't an option. But c'mon, it's gotta be Esooa. If you're a protection role, maybe consider shielding Squirrel tonight? I suspect they scanned them and will try to kill them now. Good luck, gang.

Okay, regarding Squirrel. I think he's village. Misguided, misremembering our PM, but village. So he's probably not lying about having been blocked. So one needs to have discovered his location before the night they needed to use it, so from a role on N1, or from Esooa, who is presumed innocent if you're not voting her, or from Elk, who I know wasn't giving out that information. He only gave put his location, not others'. Again, Squirrel never said he was one of the two houses, he just said Elk told him the two houses of Hasting and Venture. So if it came from me it was a 1 in 4 guess. I expect the elim plan was to scan Squirrel last night, use the guaranteed kill they already had lined up, then block Squirrel to stall for time. If he'd been lying about his house, it would have caused a failed NK, and I suspect they were suspicious of the ease at which the information came to them. That's the overwhelmingly most likely way it panned out. * If it's any help in clearing me, I'll mention that I'm the Coinshot. (How else did you think I was able to kill Scorched's parents?) And for the record, my notes are accurate. I don't think I have any on going lies, so everything I haven't walked back you can trust was genuine. I stand by my reads, especially the evil and null (evil you kill after the other suspects are dead) ones.

sorry you don't like our game The TJ vote came late, so it's less impactful. Felt like an elim who needed to park a vote. I can understand you not knowing what happened, but the obvious implication is its highly likely someone is lying. V!You knows it's highly likely Squirrel is lying, and yet your vote is on me now, based on Squirrel's arguments. That doesn't make sense, so I suspect opportunism. People always gut read me as village Also I started the Az train and picked the Mint train to succeed, and am driving this Esooa one, so either I'm being really brazen or I'm an ignorant villager. This isn't true. Don't vote based on that, at least not until I can get Squirrel to quote it to me because he never said he was one of the two Edit: Illwei is either my teammate, in which case it's weird they're voting me right now, or a fellow villager, because my team left it really late to protect me last Day.

If they're lying, they're evil. It's a guaranteed elim flip either way. And D1 you voted Azmine and D2 you voted TJ but were the only one on him so it's inconsequential. Neither are great looks If Illwei was saved, who saved her D1? Your options are me, Steel, Esooa, and Devo. (Was there another, I can't remember.) Anyway, I'd happily vote out Devo if you prefer. She cast the saving vote, that's pretty sus if you think Illwei is evil. The flaw is I had no way of knowing where you were to block you. Did anyone get any locations from Elk? Is there any precedent for this, because I think it's unlikely Y'all gotta stop switching to me right at the end of cycles, I have to 180 I'm most confident in Esooa because its highly likely they got Squirrel blocked, even if he doesn't believe it. I'll switch to Devo if it means not exing me, but its a waste of the opportunity

Just a general note, if anyone wants to claim coinshot or Tineye, because of how I’ve structured my approach this game, if you claim and give us an unexpected village read, it’d be very helpful. It’s a bit of a risk, but I’m assuming v!Tani because they didn’t vote yesterday. I feel like their teammates would encourage them to vote for any villager D2 when they showed up. Their not voting would seem to indicate little investment in the game. V!Illwei infodumped to me in our PM late D2. TJ is right, I was talking to them and trying to convince them to move their vote, but they were actually sticking to their guns in such a way that I came to decide they were evil and voted for them. At almost the same time, Illwei told me some information, because at that point they were a kill possibility (needed a single defection from my train, and Devo was around to do it potentially. That’s my assumption of their thinking, anyway. No one trusts a successful wagon late in the day). I then village read them for it and switched, and Illwei I guess decided I was villagey too and followed me. My village read of them stands, and it’s buttressed by the fact that they can only be teammates with Tani (village reading for not voting), Steeldancer (village reading for responses to Mat’s pressure), Dalinar (included Devo and TUO in their claim scheme, so incompatible with them, and also the whole gambit-loving vibe is villagey) and TUO, Devo, and Esooa. As the last two are exe candidates today with more to suspect them for, I see no reason not to vote for one of them instead. V!Mat is also running low on possible connections. Illwei has gone after them, they’ve gone after TUO and Steeldancer, Dalinar included them in their scheme and Tani didn’t vote. Their possible teammates one of Esooa/Squirrel, Chantara, Devo and TJ. That’s actually a decent group, but either requires you to evil read TJ or Chantara, or again makes voting Devo or Esooa make sense. V!Steeldancer continues to get village cred for their response to Mat’s pressure. I also have V!Dalinar in my trusts because they’re eccentric. They’re leaning into that element of their play, so it could be a ploy, but it feels like genuine roguish behaviour. V!Squirrel is risking their reputation by setting Esooa up. Either Esooa is evil and they’ll be confirmed village, or they’re good, and they’ll be confirmed evil. Bussing is unlikely on D3, so I’m guessing their intentions are genuine. It makes no sense to go out on a limb like that if they’re evil. That leaves us with TUO, Chantara, Devo, TJ, and Esooa. (Again, if one of you has a conf village role, we can cross you off the list and have the whole team.) I’ll borrow Kas’ read of n!Chantara: “read on Illwei D1 seems forced and fishing for reasons. Especially eh in light of the fact that she's part of the Illwei train. Reaction to sus also seems off - I'm looking at the "yeah this will probably not convince you" post which reads a bit too defensive.” I’ve been trying to figure out if n!TUO’s reaction to Dalinar’s giving them their location was real or fake. They could have been so busy relaying the claim to the dead doc that they forgot to respond, but then, wouldn’t the dead doc encourage them to keep the conversation going? I’m kinda hoping Esooa flips evil, because TUO called out the tone of their post this round. Could be bussing, but I’ll take it at face value for now. I really don’t like n!TJ’s vote on Illwei today. He’s been on them since D1, which is vote inflexibility. If it came down to them versus someone in my trusts, I’d vote out TJ. But his posts are really game solvey, so I’d rather not tap that barrel yet. I’m fairly sure D1 was v-v, so I believe e!Devo, regardless of alignment, would have acted the way they did for the reasons they’ve said. When they showed up late D2, they gave a hedgy view of Esooa, called out Elk for dumping location names (there’s pros and cons, so NAI), and supported Mat (which is fine, but it set up exing me, so boo). Devo added to Illwei’s vote, making a viable wagon on me, a villager. It was for jumping around with my votes and offering little explanation for them, which is a bad habit I’ve gotten into recently (last three or four games, especially early on. I’m drunk on the power of stabs). But I thought people were gut village reading me by then; it feels like this vote was technically very defensible, but unreasonable if you’re actually thinking like a villager (with your heart and dartboard). Devo then went on to question Esooa about their read on me. Coupled with them answering a TJ question, this gives me a little hesitation. Elims don’t tend to challenge their teammates much. Except, Devo kept their vote on me after my e-e approach was verified by my Fancy Chart, so I still get hit job vibes. I haven’t seen a reasonable counter-explanation for the Squirrel/e!Essoa situation yet that doesn’t rely on the elims getting very lucky. I’ve long suspected that the elims have a location mover at their disposal, so she could be gone by now, and that relies on her honestly claiming, which she didn’t need to do if they were relying on the roleblock. I don’t think coinshotting her next round is a given. Plus, I dislike the vehemence of Esooa’s rebuttal, so the vote is staying there.

I specifically asked Elk to give me Squirrel's location yesterday, among others, and to his paranoid credit, he didn't. So I can confirm that this is plausible, although there remains a 25% it was a lucky guess. Anyone want to claim having RBed Squirrel? I was looking at Essoa as a suspect anyway for today. Was loitering around near rollover, had a vote on Azmine (surely at least one elim did, right?). I trust Connie, Mat, and Illwei, so Devo and they are people I'd be okay with exing. I felt like Devo was driving a bad exe yesterday.

You right. I just made up my notes and decided not to have my teammates (besides Illwei, I guess) help me out there because I'm cocky. And I refrained from drilling down on an easy target because danger seems fun. I read the threads. If I was evil, I would have put together a stronger case for my vote, in a more coherent fashion. Or just kept my vote on you, Mat, because it was defensible. Barring an alignment scanner, I'm down to talk to the coinshot, but I'd rather not kill someone just to check if they're good or not

The fact that Illwei and Devo are working together is intriguing. I don’t believe Illwei and Squirrel are working together though, because Illwei PMed them D1. Squirrel is probably more skeptical of my voting for them. @ everyone calling Kas low effort: I’m pretty sure it’s 5 am for him right now, so that’s some level of commitment. Mat starting a wagon instead of joining one is villagey, but we’ll see if that sticks. Illwei, Devo, I think you're picking up on something I'm actually doing, but mischaracterizing it. I’m tracking my reads and possible pairings and targeting the gaps in my notes. I see little difference between many of the people I have few not e-e pairs for, so it doesn't really matter to me which of them die so long as it brings me towards a fuller chart.

Mat is voting Illwei in self-pres. Kas mentioned Illwei PMing them about pressuring Chantara, which mirrors an interaction I had with them, so I believe they have a PM. Chantara voted Illwei D1. Illwei and Elk have talked about their PM in such a way to me that I believe it exists. Frozen Mint voted Illwei D1. Squirrel used the same PM title formatting in their message to me as Illwei did, so I believe Illwei PMed Squirrel. TJ voted Illwei D1. So I think that group isn't e-e with them. Esooa and Illwei have bantered in thread. Usually as an elim I ignore my teammates more, so I have them lightly down as not e-e. Steeldancer's annoyance at Mat's pressure seemed villagey to me. Dalinar seems slightly villagey because of their claiming gambit, and not lightly e-e with Devo or TUO because they claimed to them and drew conclusions from it. I'll put myself down as village too. That leaves Tani, Devo, and TUO as possible teammates. You could throw Dalinar in there, but again, there's conflict when you try to make a team with Dalinar/TUO/Devo/Mat because of the claiming thing. Ypu could sub in Esooa or Steeldancer (who would make sense because of their vote) and make a more reasonable team. Or we could not kill Illwei and just wait for some of those key figures to be scanned or die and they'll be cleared. I think it's worth the wait, because if we do catch e!Illwei, their team should be obvious because they had to bend over backwards to save them D1. Squirrel feels like they've been hanging on the fringes. They're eager to talk but their D1 vote was a safe vanity vote (one that won't achieve anything, usually cast later in the cycle) and this cycle they've withheld it until now.

If you'd like to borrow it, I can fill you in on a good plan to claim alignment scanner in all your PMs and gauge how people react to find the evils. The key is not letting people know you're doing it to anyone more than just them. Also, the underlying assumption of Elk's plan is that they'll survive the game, so that could generate some differences in perspective right there. And was that a no on the squirrel hunt? :3

I mean, if I was an elim collecting locations to swap or kill, I'd lean into trying to win the bonus prize as an excuse. For the record, I haven't told my location to anyone. So if I'm killed, it's because I was scanned or someone swapped my location for a known one. The other puzzling part about the Elk situation is why people claimed to them at all. I'm a little surprised they haven't followed up on that. I feel like elims would offer their locations up first, because they have less reason to fear. At this point, I'm leaning village on Elk, but they're not executing this the way I would have, so it's not a solid read. Personally, I'd say yo alignment scanner, let's try and use this info. Anyway, next on my list of people to start a wagon on sometime was Squirrel, so do you like that choice better?
