It was bugging me so I went back to find what you'd said about them. I just realized LHF means low hanging fruit and isn't an acronym for... well I was reading it as low activity something something and that they weren't a good choice because of that. I also don't know what FUD means but the context is Mat is being quieter but that's okay. Which the distro wouldn't account for and it's actually a point of difference to be sussed. I wouldn't say personal attack. Just a little frustrated about the meta argument that the elims would be given a thread controller. True in a normal game, not in a game where only 3/20 players start as evil and there's a high risk D1 for them. I thought I'd inoculated against it earlier but I evidently didnt do enough. The accountability point comes from self analysis. E!me wants control over unknowns. E!me is less careful with secrets. I see a lot of that in TBB. As for the voting patterns. Eh. I've suspected everyone I've voted for. I'm willing to go all in without much to back it up because it's a conversion game and frankly everyone has been incredibly unremarkable. I do regret not pushing Araris harder on the day xino died but actually I've given a blanket clear to everyone who offered to be killed so it should have been been szeth. Speaking of,

I'm pretty sure this is the crux of why I'm being exed and I can't really defend against it. You've come around to Mat today, but the last time this came up you told me Mat and Szeth didn't fit the profile. And if they didn't, few people do. So you'll forgive me for being skeptical that you bringing them back in is anything other than a backup plan. My instinct is to dig in my heels on TBB because I don't like them being dismissed so casually, but I do have other people on the side burner. But I was also hoping to get some TBB interaction of it. Eh I'm just gonna call it a day for now

Y Lot to unpack here. First of all, you've got to reapply pressure every day because of the conversion mechanic. Best people to do that to are likely conversion targets, which are low profile/not under pressure yet still active enough to submit actions folk. So I'm continually reassessing people, prioritizing recent comments. With TBB it's not just the accountability line. It's also them outing the Roshar info and blowing me off about the request to determine Auto's identity. Where's your villager curiosity? I'll admit it's also self serving because, since no one in their right mind would ever convert me, if we can eliminate the possibility of me starting as Auto, I can only reasonably be evil as the two other named baddies. Which would be nice to establish in case they flip. It's frustrating that you call TBB low activity because this reductive definition of high activity you have seems intent on implicating only me. Idk if you're factoring in doc talking and that's throwing your perception off, but going by thread activity, I trust the higher profile folk. You, DeTess seem good. Actually might asterisk Drake. Where we're disagreeing is you're arbitrarily discounting the bloc of TBB, Elandera, TJ, Mat, Szeth. Maybe Araris. They're all kind of in the muddy middle. I'd argue it's actually notable that some of them have taken a step back this game - you mention people being present but feeling peripheral. Voting people like that is like SE 101. Point is, you're accusing me of not voting among a group where the most reasonable person to vote on is me. What am I supposed to do differently? (I miscleared Drake by not understanding that mechanic correctly. Need to reevaluate, but I'm not going to vote him just to fit in a grouping I disagree with the composition of) Speaking of roleblockers, This was me. Idk what I was expecting. This is a very tidy response. Good to know Were you village?

They almost certainly were village then, since the elim teams can't afford to lose a player to neutrality. If I was seriously advocating for no exe, I'd have framed it as less of a hypothetical. Voting TBB purely for using the trigger word 'accountability'. At this stage, I don't believe it's a thought that a villager solidly sizes upon. Source: e!me cares a lot more about that stuff than V!me

Doesn't feel natural to be 'accountability' focussed at this stage in the game. I can see it being something brought up C1 by either alignment, but it feels more scummy to want control of an unknown quantity right now. I'm starting to think Autonomy is a really cool dude because once people talk to them, they seem to forget they're the enemy. They're a non village power player. If you've made a bargain with them, identify them and use it as leverage for a better deal. If you haven't, your job as a villager is to figure out who is and isn't on your team. I'm confused why you'd hold back here

TBB! I built an RP character around writing reviews of the various planets he visits, but I haven't gone anywhere, so that's sadje Since Kas won't, will someone please analyze the activity times and writing style of the Avatars and exploit the best angle we've got to work with. Thanks

I'd argue there's a difference between them and Xino was of late, and the Mat connection was pretty blatant. I was hoping it'd come down to them or Araris, who I'd still exe for the weird Prudence philosophy BTW Drake didn't vote. Drake didn't kill. There's a clear lean towards neutrality that's worth interrogating. My guess would be its wincon related at this point

Hm. I like the idea of Szeth who converted Mat as a team. I also like the idea of making Ash's VC outdated mere moments after he posted it. :P. Elandera Szeth

Oh its very simple I can't keeping giving people village credit for this Out of game problems require out of game solutions, but at the very least, I'll +1 Kas' stance. You don't need to be a game breaker I've been very clear that I'd kill me, in your shoes. Why you haven't yet is beyond me :P. DeTess admitted to it. Good look. Felt like a hero shot. As for Drake. I can't imagine the Odium wincon doesn't involve murdering a specific assortment of individuals, likely one of each type. Him holding off seems villagey

It's unlikely, isn't it! But if you break it down, it holds pretty well up until about Mat/Szeth, who I wouldn't label especially talkative this cycle. Reads list: Top: -Kas: On a purely meta level, I have wondered if the GMs spared them the pain of village apathy by making them evil. Autonomy!Kas makes little sense because someone might join him on the worlds he's advertised have Avatars, forcing him to be two people at once. Or at least have conversations with himself. Otherwise, he seems to have gone through a long song and dance about being chill then very much thawing, which seems like V!him genuinely caring about the game. -Drake and DeTess: Odium related clears. -Fifth and Turtle and Araris: being cool with dying is village. I guess. Caveat about Araris: docs exist. Surprised he wants Prudence rather than using them as an engagement strategy. Mid: -TJ: Kas has said that he needs TJ to threadbrawl him in order to get a read on him. Wondering if TJ intentionally jumped into a tussle with Kas to get village read out of it. -Mat and Szeth: What have you done for me lately? is a pertinent question. Good conversion targets. I have vaguely positive reads of them but can't remember why. Mat does reads lists as both alignments but I have a mental sticky note saying it's elim busywork. Bottom: -Elandera: not to harp on the point too much, but their last 4 posts haven't mentioned anyone else but Xino. It's a little too tight -Xino: The best part about this set up is they can also be evil! Elandera makes a compelling case. Could be two elims on different teams going at it. -Walin: I do want to know about the forgotten action. Read pending explanation -TBB: Too suspicious to convert. If they're a named good guy, they claim D1. If they're a named baddie, they're at their lowest point D1 - why not worldhop to somewhere that gives them an edge when we run it back N1/D2? I suspect the baddies started with a vote manip investiture to get them through D1, but I can see them not using it when they evaluated at EoD it was better to hope the tie held. I'll admit they were sneaky about their voting D1, I just keep shoving them to the backburner on the assumption that if they're a named bad guy, surely there's actions that'll expose them and people should be working on that.

Pew pew, here's some bullets -Drake's writing style has shifted. Gambit mode activated, me thinks -Araris did mention IRL activity dampeners pre game, unsure of their impact -We're missing a lot of players. Waldin -I'm ignoring the Avatars because idk how Kas is talking to them, how one died, what they are etc. I'll reread the rules later. Curse the game delay that made me forget everything I pre read -TJ voting Kas is similar to Elandera voting Xino. Good wagon to back to avoid being proven wrong -All the talkative people seem village Elandera

Please prepare a detailed explanation of your reasoning and theory about what happened mechanically, but keep it yourself until we see how Drake responds. Best not to give them an easy out of an excuse In the meantime, does anyone want to meet on a world? I'm not going if it's gonna be boring I'd at least expect a bit more agreement or disagreement, and +1ing main wagons when they break free, rather than a vanity vote. Kinda feels like you've picked a hill you feel comfortable on and are sticking to it to avoid too much contraversy while looking useful. But. New day, new votes, now's your chance to hard seel us on the Xino theory Lowkey think Walin submitted AN action but didn't submit an (second) action. Wally

Is my memory serves, you said something like 'I won't self pres here'. Then when nothing changed, you indeed self presed with minutes to go. Sneaky behavior. I acknowledge the intrigue of you trying to be selective with your target by floating DeTess as a CW, but you could argue that that's just to move my vote off you, so you were probably just going by who you thought I'd be down to vote for. Note to self, fact check if I expressed willingness to vote DeTess. If yes, sus TBB. If no, village points to them.

Annoyingly, I think I was wrong about this post. My memory of it was that Fifth reacted to my poke vote quite dramatically. Which is true, but they 1) backed away from their Turtle vote that was keeping them out of danger, 2) explicitly discuss them being a discussion sink. I'll buy the prevailing theory that this is villagey. As for Turtle, I'm always wary of people pulling a TBB where they decline to self pres to make people like Mat trust them for a while, but they lurk and absolutely do self pres at EoD. But I'm feeling generous, so village points to Turtle for being a depressed villager Honestly I flipped back to my last read post and skimmed the rest of the cycle, mostly looking for vote movements. Anything not actually in red or green didn't sink in too deeply. I tend to look at the Night writeup, then back read EoD, but usually talking about the writeup results is more intriguing so I don't delve too deeply into EoD stuff until I'm doing serious backreading. I'd argue being very willing to compromise at EoD betrays a lack of villager conviction. So either y'all need to stick to your guns and shoot me already, or you don't really care who dies. :P. Elandera comes across as very confident in this read, which strikes me as odd except for the fact that I can't fault her reasoning. Only flag then would be not really branching out to other suspects.

That EOD looks all kinds of wrong. For one, you tried to kill me! Or rather, floated it because actually moving your vote would trigger some panic reactions, Mat. DeTess. People I'd vote for tomorrow. You're misinterpreting my statement. To a villager who knows they're a villager and wants to survive, not dying is better than dying. Fifth made a comment to the effect of 'I'll die just to make some progress here', and my comment was in relation to that. I'm not seriously advocating for no exes since it creates its own host of problems regarding the successful application of pressure, but I would argue that intentionally shooting villagers is a worse strat than killing no one at all. My quick read of that was that I think the leading wagon pre them voting was two and they were at one so they were on the cusp. Enough that because they opening called it a self pres instead of being sneaky, and they left enough time to be judged for it, it didn't look sus to me. Willing to revisit. (Have I mentioned not liking the Alpha train's sudden appearance?)

There was a second point, related to you being cool with dying, but I forget my thought process. First point was you thinking the slim jims have a bigger team rn than they do, which I think was a misread. But I'm ignoring you now because fifth is acting strangely Why is everyone offering themselves up to be killed? If we do no exe for a while, the slim people will make their conversions and we can play it straight. That's arguably a great outcome. I can't see why a villager would want to die to speed things along Interesting time to self pres, although if you're leaving for the night I understand My vote is on Fifth. Not sure about this sudden Alpha wagon

Very excited for Fifth to get Ruin killed tonight :P. Your contribution to the Turtle train is appreciated. Isn't the problem with trying to contain all the Shards that the elims have Autonomy so we're unlikely to get it?

Worth flagging that Szeth has now twice made meta based comments. The first was on TBB In a game where you're arguing in bad faith, I find elims are prone to engaging with meta more. They don't have righteous ignorance, so they consider limitations like they feel less good murdering newbies. Szeth is considering 'the spirit of the game' and making meta protective comments about a new player. Being meta conscious is an elim trait to me I think he took to it differently than expected. Generally when your team says go unnoticed, you act busy doing something fruitless. Alpha full on ghosted until rollovers for some cycles. They didn't feel the need to do solving busy work, which matches their current behaviour Your interest is noted. @JNV are you holding Ruin? *crosses out previous Mat read* Under no pressure, you're making sure everyone's aware of your activity limitations. Reminiscent of your elim style I think Kas is here for the journey, not the destination

Welcome, Walin! We were wondering whether wacky weirdos would wander whenceward. Unfortunately you screwed yourself with your elim play last game. You've got a meta for going quiet as an elim now, so in the absence of a reason to trust you, you're more likely evil than not to me right now. In a conversion game, it's especially important to regularly re-establish village credibility -It doesn't take a Wax to figure out who suspected Sart. But would Ruin be fool enough to announce their intentions? That felt like a JNV shot tbh -I'll accuse Turtle of hedging their reads to an extreme degree, making it a performative exercise -Turtle

Not coincidentally, most people are 17Sers. They don't have a stockpile of investiture to use on the other worlds and they don't have Super Special abilities that will allow them to survive deep into the game and that give them other responsibilities besides personal ambition. So my theory is villagers stay put, baddies get a move on. The, at best, 1/4 shot at getting a Shard, made worse by lack of coordination (might not even hit the threshold), isn't worth the benefits of travel to a baddies, imo. But I'm interested in what other people think about this. You've got to admit that a small segment of people doing something differently, in this case worldhopping, might be revealing

I'm struggling with some weather induced headaches today so this might be my only post for a bit. -What does VOCALS and the location Roshar tell us? Anything? -A quiet rollover makes sense since, at most, two people were very invested in the outcome if an elim was under pressure. And if someone was protecting TBB, they probably voted me earlier. -Certainly wouldn't V!read TBB after they were very dedicated to self pressing. -I'm leaning towards the guess that the baddies worldhopped yesterday. Firstly, there's a psychological pressure to be on top of things, and passively not submitting an action feels wrong. It felt wrong to me in a game with so many rules that I wasn't doing anything, and I'm not in the hot seat. -They have 4 investiture already, they don't need more. Although they can contribute to releasing a Shard, it's a drop in the bucket. Hopping gives them people to network with and valuable abilities. -I think we can rule out some destinations based on which involve Night actions. Those that give them Day actions are appealing. Anyone want to claim their location so we can read ya based on it? -I've decided to backtrack my e!TJ read. The way they came at me is too aggressive for someone trying to lay low. Turtle has said a lot of nothing and Araris is uncharacteristically unremarkable. Would vote either.
