Sooo last game I got called evil in the opening writeup and in this game the GM straight up lied to me. I'm starting to not like blackouts. I will be submitting a Complaint and vote against Szeth this round. Mostly interested in how player-like their positionality is. Also too busy today to start from scratch with my game playing mindset based on the new info. Experience Szeth_Pancakes

You're welcome to pepper the GM with direct questions in your GM PM. I got a fairly straightforward response when I asked. My working theory is that while the traditional result of being exed or NKed is death (boo), 'dead' players instead go to 'the Real World' and have an impact on the game from there (yay). Also, vanilla exist! It's right there in the rules that I hadn't bothered to reread. My bad. Looks like they're just there to gather and pass magic.

I had a similar thought and the answer is no. The community moderation complaints system is not a gimmick meant to be used in a 'real life' that is actually in game, per the GM. I'm tempted to test it by placing a complaint on myself near the end of the game just in case it does something fun, but I'm 99% sure it's just a poorly explained OOG tool playtest Gasp! Why no pm spidering for a while, too busy using your elim doc? :P. I'm assuming role madness here. My item is related to cooking. PM me if you're similar. Experience detess

I'm very confused about the complaints system. Szeth, I'm sure there's a good explanation in the footnotes of the rules doc, would you mind forwarding it to me? :3 DeTess

bold of you to assume you'll be village :P. I also like the CS one as a palette cleanser

In as Aschu The Blessed. The game starts during my Thanksgiving weekend so I'm going to be nearly non existent during D1.

Mid-Range Game 65: Set on Infiltration

Hurray, the village didn't fumble the bag! Shout out to Aeoryi and Raven in particular for having good first games. Thanks, Experience, Devo. I had fun. -

Wiz Araris I'll elaborate on this change of heart as much as I've elaborated on the backstory of Jaxson Jumpers. So, not at all -

XD. I do believe that both Araris and Wiz are good targets for the exe, but there's two advantages to killing Wiz: -guarantees* we'll still have PMs next cycle -kills a vote manipulator I'll ultimately vote with the majority, but I do think we should think about consolidating the vote to avoid vote manipulation subverting our will. -

This turned to this despite the only new information from Wiz being them asking why there's a missing vote today. I'd characterize their play as more hit and run voting with zero game solving going on. It reads as unsublte elim play to me. -

That's a convenient backtrack. I guess you're implicating Wiz then? I don't see Aeoryi (elaborate thug claim) or DeTess (NKed) having done it. Leaving Wiz and I as suspects in that scenario. I wouldn't mind a Wiz exe over an Araris one tbh. E!Wiz could just be causing chaos. And if it's v!Wiz who flips, TKN is an obvious followup target. I'm playing this game on vibes, and the vibes of E!Araris and e!wiz being the team seem right. Araris Wiz -

My understanding (from what TKN told me, feel free to correct it), is that "Soothers" can either delete a vote OR move a vote while deleting their own vote. Safe to assume Stink didn't kill themselves with vote manipulation. So to account for no net loss of votes BUT vote movement occurring, I agree that someone who didn't vote had to have done it. TKN volunteered this info. He didn't vote, so idk why he'd vote manip. Pending proof it's possible, I'm leaning towards e!soother!JNV because of my positive gut read of TKN. With two suspects, we have time to exe both if one doesn't pan out. Unless there's three elims, but I doubt that. Mat was essentially the third elim. -

Yup*. I'm just going to put TKN here and say he volunteered to me that Soother roles can both soothe OR riot in the usual ways. *Unless puppeting JNV is allowed I had a similar thought, but I think that's what the 2nd place turning red part is for. The villager cancels that effect out, then Mat can choose to go whichever way he likes. To get it green, he'd need to find the thug and coordinate with them. To get it red, he'd have to wait for some green bodies to die. It's about equal chances of either happening. -

I'll go ahead and say that I am a Tineye. This is an accurate representation of what it does. I PMed Araris earlier and asked what Tineye does, reminding him that roles are wonky this game, and he didn't hedge at all. I confident he or an elim teammate are genuinely Tineyes. (Does one village, one neutral, and one elim tineye make sense? Sure. It's a nice role because it makes killing you consequential and leaves your actions free to NK.) @The Known Novel I think you should publicly declare everything your role does and that you didn't use it last cycle. Quick look at the votes raises my eyebrows based on what you told me Still waiting on a pivitol GM confirmation that may change that though. -

Huh. Another Soother. V!Soother+v!Soother VS e!Rioter? I liked it better with just one v!soother Mat was really on his own with a tineye role lol I'm assuming Araris!rioter for a minute By Wiz bus I mean them voting teammate!Araris. Doesn't really make sense, although if Araris is dying anyway, might as well Riot and hope. Either you flip and reveal your role or survive to fight another day. But it's better to no undermine your chances at survival. It's hard to figure out Wiz's behavior if they're not evil, so this is odd -

Experience >. > Is there something you forgot to tell us about this game Actually, there is for sure. That's an alignment, what is his role? :P. Technically, TKN could have done this if their role allows changing a vote to a no vote. But I'd bet on him actually being a Soother and the elims having a Soother on hand. If you were going to make this play, no sense in having Wiz bus. You know you have to deal with v!TKN soothing, so margins are tight. But that introduces an action economy problem: who submits the NK if Araris (who visited the Shard shortly before rollover) is Rioting? JNV wasn't on to do it. @Experience do you allow orders on a players behalf if an elim is inactive? If not, it implicates Raven - oh look who voted Stink. I'm still very concerned about Wiz's everything. Would exe in a heartbeat. I want to kill Araris and Wiz the next two cycles. Araris -

Well that makes me uncomfortable. Could be a bus. Otherwise, who is Araris' teammate? Pretty sure DeTess is on Araris -

If it helps, Raven recently told me they'd checked to see if JNV was online yesterday. I can't really see an elim putting in that much effort. Maybe a more experienced elim was trying to see who might get pinch hit for, but I'm leaning towards not in this case. With regards to a CC, I believe a pinch hitter for JNV is available and likely to step in soon, so there's that. Unfortunately for them, I have JNV pencilled in as a good fit for an elim team. I'm cool with Stink and Araris being wagons today. I've got a pool of them, Wiz, and JNV that I'm fairly ambivalent / leaning evil about -

Yeah, slight positive that we know he didn't submit the NK because of it, but otherwise it's NAI. Being within one vote of the lead is too close for comfort for many people. I think I'd like to get the Araris train rolling again. I think Aeorri, DeTess, TKN, and Mat are in my trusts for various reasons and the next most talkative person is Araris. He tried to kill me last round so Araris -

Oh yeah Mat I have theories about time travel but it's probably just something boring about feruchemical charges :/ Isn't the play for e!Araris to accept they've been outed and try to identify who the RBer is so they can be swiftly NKed to get rid of the problem? I thinks it's the best of bad options to try to get the most info on what happened at the expense of your already marked for death teammate. I'd wager because he asked it, Araris isn't the one who submitted the NK though. That person would stay quiet until they figured out what we know. -

Archer replied to Experience's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I've never seen a role like that. Would you be willing to tell us the favor? If DeTess was the NK, I'd like village cred because she's the last person I'd go after. E!me probably kills Wiz since they're low info and their voting patterns are annoying to predict and influence. DeTess makes sense for most other people, although I'm surprised Mat wasn't targeted as a less tied to other people option. It feels like that kind if thing that causes a sudden win or loss when there's less players. I'm curious about what happens to people who get 2nd in the voting twice in a row. Maybe being suspected roleblocks you? Mat I forget my reason for trusting you and I think you should be been NKed instead -

Laby was excluded because we know they're not evil. My guess is that in the event of a tie, one is chosen from the VC to bring the number to two elims. Perhaps them having more voters, if you ignore the vote manip, tipped it towards TKN. Possible experiment : we all vote for a single candidate. Unlikely to yield an interesting result. My guess is if we make the leaderboard properly call out the elims, it's a hidden wincon. Otherwise we can play as usual and still win. TKN, did you save yourself with vote manipulation? If you didn't, I'm curious why someone was invested enough in you to do it on your behalf. -
Mid-Range Game 65: Set on Infiltration
Archer replied to Experience's topic in Sanderson Elimination
If you ask the GMs if the NK takes an action slot, the answer is yes. I took that as confirmation of an NK. But it could be arson or something. Looks like the list is based on the VC. Top vote getters have their names put in red for some reason. Interesting there's a hard limit of two. I guess Mat was targeted for the missing TK vote, since Wiz's came late. There's no offensive vote movements, which might just be because the role doesn't exist. Or maybe a vote was changed to a no vote. Edit: Laby claimed to be vanilla. @Experience do we get to learn the deceased's roles? -

I'd like an explanation sometime, please and thanks. I imagine it'll be next round Not to disagree with you about you, but I don't really think it is. E!TKN just says I'm still village and because it's a lie, doesn't need to add caveats. V!TKN adds caveats because it's the truth.
