Trails of Cold Steel (and the Kiseki series in general)
Eluvianii replied to Zurvanight's topic in Entertainment Discussion
It's a bit hidden, it seems. See how if you get down of the horse or bike in the overworld, you can press a button (square I think) to decide who's riding in which horse/bike? Apparently in that same screen you can change the color. -
Trails of Cold Steel (and the Kiseki series in general)

Not to mention the music, we need more creepy themes in this series. I love Act 3. -
Ilia was a bit startled as her roommate introduced her. "Uh, don't worry about it. I just thought it looked the most fun and, um... Oh I'm Ilia by the way, nice to meet you. Oh wait, I guess Tessa already told you that. Well, nice to meet you again!" As she said that Ilia heard the group leader say something and everyone else started moving. She followed suit, hoping the exchange hadn't been too awkward.

I have, that's the fun moment right before you lose your hand. TPBM has something important to do this week.

Randy ran through the hallways, checking rooms and open windows. This place was pretty big, it was an important hub for the war efforts which in this case meant there was plenty of room to hide. He wasn't particularly optimistic about his search. He felt another tremor, and with it a spike of guilt. What was he doing? Catching criminals infiltrating the fortress was important, true, but he was a lot more help outside, in the skies. He might not agree with this war, but the idea that there might be more casualties thanks to his negligence wasn't pleasant. Randy turned a corner and stopped in his tracks, along with his train of thought. There was a figure at the end of the hallway. He started walking towards it very slowly, gun at the ready, trying to think of any way to escape before the other guy did. Of course he apparently had magic, an advantage Randy couldn't hope to match. He suddenly felt a lot more nervous. If it was just a man with a knife or a gun or something it was a pretty straightforward problem. He knew what to expect. But this. This was a situation where anything could happen and no matter how many scenarios Randy came up with, he'd never be fully prepared, and that terrified him. But he couldn't let it show. "Found your way back yet?" he asked, stopping a good 5 meters away from the other man, just to be safe.
-
Randy couldn't help coughing, though he did drop to the floor as a reflex. That was magic. At least he hadn't seen him press any detonator. If it was magic, what kind was it? Wait, he couldn't lose time thinking about that. He heard the other guy dart the same way Randy had come. He covered his mouth and nose with his shirt, then stood up, guiding himself by sliding his other hand along the wall. He was going as fast as he could but that wasn't saying much, at least if he wanted to avoid tripping down the stairs. Sure enough, by the time he was out of the smoke cloud on the floor below, he couldn't see nor hear any sign of the mysterious man. "Shoot." He started running anyways. He'd check out the floor, then give up and resume his previous plan. If the man had gone for the ground floor there would be no way to find him in the commotion. But if he was still looking for his objective, then there would be a chance.

Randy looked at the item the stranger was holding. He hesitated, years of training told him not to move. Randy didn't recognize the object after all. However for the second time today, and maybe the second time in years, curiosity got the better of him. He extended his hand.
-
Randy had to point his gun openly at the man now. "I'm guessing you lost your keys then, good thing you're so resourceful." Another rumble shook the building. Honestly, under the circumstances he could only point the gun for show. With so many tremors it was impossible to keep a steady hand. Randy tried to look serious, but really, it was a broom closet. If he wasn't a spy his worst crime was opening a storage room without a janitor's permission. If he was a spy it was a lot worse, but if that was the case he was uninformed enough that he hadn't stolen anything important yet, so far as Randy could see. Either way, it wasn't his choice how to deal with him. But, if he was the person he saw outside, maybe he could kill two birds with one stone. After all, the attack had happened right as he appeared. Could there be any relation? It was worth a shot. "Would I be losing my time if I asked what else you were looking for in there?"
-
Before getting to the roof Randy found another person. A man with a backpack who looked frustrated. Considering the current state of affairs, Randy couldn't blame him. However, he stopped running in a blink and quickly became cautious, reaching for the gun on his belt. He didn't like using the thing, and didn't intend to either, but it was good to be safe. After all, not only was this man up here when every capable pair of hands was needed downstairs, but he wasn't wearing a uniform. "Excuse me, can you be here?" Randy asked, trying to get as much info as he could with his eyes. A spark of suspicion added to the mix when he noticed the spikes sticking out from the bottom of his backpack. @Emery the Steelrunner

I like the taste of corn, but I don't particularly like eating it. It's messy and makes my gums bleed and I'm one of those people who really doesn't like getting their hands dirty while eating. TPBM has won a contest of some kind.

Imagine being a kid, wanting everything to taste sweet. You ask for it and now you're stuck with that "boon" for life. I'd hate it, and this is coming from a sweets addict. Nightwatcher bane that sounds terrible but might actually be fun/useful?

Ilia had to suppress a groan, it seemed every school wanted its own version of this speech. Still, she couldn't help feeling a little excitement rising all over again. This was yet another reminder that she had made it. However... "I'm so not looking forward to those activities she mentioned at the end." she told Tessa. Every school year started the same way. What's your name? How do you want to be called? What are your hobbies? Say something nice about the classmate to your left. Once they were settled though, it would be worth it.

I have a couple traits that give a massively wrong impression about me that I'm bad at clearing up. Like, back in middle school I mentioned a couple times that I enjoyed some classical music and often said I disliked what was popular between my classmates. End result, everyone believed I only listened to classical music even though I knew like 5 pieces. Similarly, I'm extremely quiet and bad at expressing myself, it's a social issue I'm terrified of not solving, but somehow it gives people this idea that I'm this really serious and responsible guy, when I'm actually one of the most irresponsible persons you'll ever know, I've had semesters where I fail every single subject (I'm working on that though, and succeeding so far). I also avoid drinking beer, this is simply because I dislike that particular drink, but then people believe that I don't drink alcohol, period, even though I love wine, cider, etc, just can't drink them that often. Then there's my family spreading overblown things about me, I overheard my grandma telling someone once that reading was my only hobby and that I read a book a week, even though it's only one of my hobbies and not even the main one, and I struggle to read a book in one month. Thankfully no one has actually held me to these expectations so far they simply learn they are misplaced. On a related note, I'm good at saying good things that look bad. My first time in an RP I managed to offend everyone in the room while trying to convey that it was really cool and I was having fun. If I ever offend you, please know that not only was it not on purpose, but I'll likely won't even realize it unless you tell me because I'm pretty dense for things like those so please bear with me. When you first joined I do seem to remember you sounded a bit robotic, but now I can't tell the difference between you and a native speaker.

Northern Mexican I guess. I've barely ever traveled anywhere so I don't notice it, but we're known for pronouncing "ch"s as "sh"s to a comical degree. You have been spoiled the ending to the entire Cosmere by some timey wimey means. You absolutely hate it (which sounds more unbelievable than the time travel in this scenario, I know). Do you still keep reading the books as they come out?

Heh, I have four. TPBM likes spiders.

Haven't played enough to choose a favorite game but if we talk characters. Zelda is best, though I really like Ice Climbers and Robin. Itching to play Ultimate so I can try Hero.

Not as far as I'm aware, though my parents assure me I held entire conversations with my sister when we were little. Obviously neither of us has any way to know for sure. TPBM prefers dark chocolate to milk chocolate.

Phew, that's a relief. I'll be careful from now on.

Nice. Looking forward to it already. And the spoiler was

Well that took a while, finally finished Meakashi. First chapter with a main theme! I loved that, I already loved the previous soundtracks but having some (or so far one) leitmotifs is very welcome. Don't have as many thoughts on this one, I'm simply still really confused. I swear, I liked Shion a lot better when I couldn't see her thoughts. I also managed to spoil myself a part of Umineko in a really dumb way so yay for me. Hope it doesn't affect the experience too much.

I heard someone passed running down the street yelling "The dead are coming!" while in their pajamas. What a weirdo, right? You kidding? My mom would ground me for a year if I did that.
-
I'm afraid I don't. TPBM has a talent.

From a meme a week after the fact. I then ask my friends and family for the details and they look at me incredulously while asking "How did you not know about it? It was everywhere". You're a secret agent about to be killed by a villain, there's no way out and the villain is the only person who will see you die. Last words?

Who LOVES The Legend of Zelda!
Eluvianii replied to Ironwill2112's topic in Entertainment Discussion
Well, it still sounds worth checking out. Not for a full playthrough but a bit of extra exploring. I did try to do a nuzlocke of sorts. Nothing crazy, I'm just playing without using the map. That also means I don't activate any towers and don't use teleportation. Now, as you can tell from my post it still only inspires the occasional session but when I do play there is some of the sense of discovery that made the first run special present. Nowhere near all of it but it helps.
