  1. It's not a real game, I was mixing the name with Devil May Cry. Basically there have been some worries that Capcom will get away from the more slow-paced, high risk high reward, kinda sluggish combat the series was known for, and make it a lot more action oriented. Closer to a hack and slash. It's not inherently a bad thing, but there had already been comments that Rise is too easy because of all the mobility the hunter has, so if it just continues to go up. Well, as I said some of us are just a little bit worried. Rise is part of the portable series though, which has always been flashier and more experimental, so who knows. Maybe 6th Gen will surprise us.
  2. Huh. So they really are turning the series into Monster May Cry. Not sure how I feel about that. Well, I guess nothing's set in stone until the next actual mainline game.
  3. I have, though I'm not entirely sure what they are. I think I heard somewhere that they were partially based off hunter styles but I haven't actually used them. Maybe I should play the demo again and see if there's something there.
  4. Ha! A hunter fears nothing. ...well, except a bad meal.
  5. Not in the slightest. Do you understand colors?
  6. Wait, really? I'm, officially intrigued. What kind of weird? Might as well update. Crem just hit the fan, things escalate shockingly quickly after a certain point. It's also a little too forthcoming with clues, at this rate it wouldn't take long to solve the mystery, so I expect I'm in the first or second layer of many here.
  7. Eat breakfast. I can't function if eating isn't the first thing I do. What is the best way to reach Mach 1?
  8. Hard to know if I'm prepared tbh. It was introduced to me as the de facto "appearances can be deceiving" anime, along with a scene involving fingernails. But the gore is the only thing I got a warning about. Well that and the confusing narrative but that was a given I think. Still don't know what other cards it keeps under its sleeve. It was actually Umineko that got me to finay start it. Recently I read a lot of comments about it along the same lines as yours and I got really curious. But there was also advice saying that if you had any plans at all to also play Higurashi, which I did, it was better to play it first as Umineko could kinda sorta spoil things with the references? So basically those two are my summer project now.
  9. Halfway through the first chapter of Higurashi When They Cry. They started playing Clue giving a pretty detailed rundown of the rules, and now I'm wondering if the entire story is just one massive game of Clue between the author and the readers. Especially given the difficulty warning at the beginning. Really, the dialogue at this part feels like a fourth wall break. Urging me to take notes and telling me how I'll just learn as I keep playing.
  10. To a normal cube, to add that fourth dimension. Because as we all know, the first four dimensions are lenght, height, depth, and water. Favorite cookie flavor?
  11. Finished the first arc of Pact, which isn't saying much, it's only 8 chapters. But I can't believe how much I'm liking this. The magic system is interesting though it's taking its time to be explained. The two protagonists are both amazing at times and frustrating at others. The initial premise is weirdly complex and extremely tense. I keep waiting for the moment when things will settle down a little but every moment feels like a risk. And in general I love the writing style.
  12. "No, I get it. No matter how comfy the seats, after a couple hours they become torture all the same. I'm just glad my bus did a few rest stops on the way." she carried her last bundle of clothes to one of the drawers in her room and came back. "I never thought about using Mind Harvesting that way though. In my mind they looked like, I don't know, psychics? I don't think I actually gave much thought about how people used that. It sounds cool to be honest." Ilia looked down at her suitcase, she was just about done too. With her clothes at least, she could deal with the other stuff later. It hadn't been a lot of work but between that and the trip she felt tired too. I could use a drink. She started pulling a small bag of coffee and a can of her favorite tea, berries, out of her suitcase. An entire portion of it dedicated to drinks and snacks. She blushed a bit, wondering if it was weird to be carrying the stuff around, but she needed these things to function properly. A good stash was essential until she figured out how and where to do her shopping around here. "Would you like some coffee? Tea?" Ilia asked, more quietly than she intended. She was a bit embarrassed that she was already showing one of her house habits to a girl she had just met. She would have to get used to that.
  13. I'm still working my way up to his original version. I think he's supposed to be Village's final boss? I don't know, first time I've come this far. I have no idea how flagship work.
  14. Barring the obvious popularity The Magnus Archives has in the Shard. I'm not far into this one but The Bright Sessions is pretty good. Not sure what you mean by clean but this one does have some profanity. However I think that's all it has. It's basically about a psychiatrist that specializes in treating people with superpowers in a world where they're not widely known. You see people dealing with the mental and emotional weight of reading minds, time traveling, etc. Each episode is treated like a recording the doctor made of the session.
  15. Starting the day with this My excitement is going through the roof. The fact that we know it's a rearrengment album and they release one song a week until launch keeps the excitement fresh and I'm always wondering what will be next. Then there's also the fact that they released the song list but we can only see the number of letters in each name, so we can try to guess which songs will be in it. It's like a game between them and the fans. Kinda reminds me of Stormlight releases to be honest.
  16. I guess it would be sorta inevitable, but I don't think I would actually want to. Do you a favorite weather?
  17. Ilia tried to imagine it. Giant, powerful, genius dragons. It sounded like something out of an rpg to be honest, she'd seen some characters like that. She'd assumed it was all fiction though. She shook her head back into focus, what had been the question? Her class, right. "Ah, sorry. I'm taking Enchanting, not any impressive reason or anything, I just thought making magic items sounded cool. I mean, I had to study like crazy to get in so now I know it for a fact. And hey, if I can get paid for it, there's no downside, right? What about you?" She got up, taking her toothbrush and other bathroom stuff to the two washbasins by the corner. "And um, which side would you like?"
  18. Eluviani woke up feeling terrible. He wasn't in pain or anything, but it took him all of ten seconds after opening his eyes to remember everything. He was in the Hunger Games. It was his third day here. He had been really lucky and he still was messing up majorly. He got supplies and he lost them. He hurt himself while walking. He hadn't even met anyone yet. All he had with him was a sword, rope, and some berries. He didn't have a backpack to gather and carry supplies. Nor a bottle to carry water. He didn't get any trap making equipment, even the rope he had gotten just as an added bonus, when he picked up the sword. There had been a lot of useful supplies at the Cornucopia but he had chosen the sword. He couldn't blame this on luck, this had been a choice. Out of fear. I was afraid someone would try to kill me without being able to defend myself. Oh but there's plenty of ways to do that. There were shields there. There was food and medical supplies so he could just hide and not meet anyone, he could simply run away at the first sign of danger even. Yet his choice had been a sword. A weapon. Meant for offense, not defense. No, I can't. How will I face my brother? How will I face mom? He wouldn't be facing them either way if he just stood and did nothing. He would have to fight back eventually, and time was running out. @Nameless
  19. "Oh, he's a winged mouse. I had to lock him up during the trip here so I don't think he'll want to come back for a while." Ilia said, setting aside some of her clothes, thinking about how much space she would need. "But a dragon? That's so cool! Magical Creatures did seem interesting, though since I have that little guy already, it seemed a bit overkill I guess. Do you have any plans in case you do get one? I'd probably get a bit too excited, I mean, who didn't want a dragon as a kid?!"
  20. "Couldn't agree more." Ilia opened the door to her room. "Could you give me a moment?" she stepped through, it was a small room, but cozy enough. She hadn't brought anything with her beside the essentials, no posters, no figures, no plushies, she would fill this place from scratch, like an empty canvas. Once inside she walked to the window, opened it, and placed something she had pulled out of Pinky's cage on top of it. It was his food bowl, which she proceeded to fill. It would tell him where to land, once he was done stretching his wings. She came out once again and smiled apologetically at Tessa. "Sorry about that, just preparing things for my pet mouse. Do you have any pets?" she asked, taking the chance to start unpacking too.
  21. This probably applies only to México but, happy Student Day! I know a lot of Sharders are in school, myself included. Use this post as an excuse to give yourself a treat. I personally love using the silliest tiniest stuff as an excuse to do something different or special and I know you all deserve it.

  22. The ones I've tried were actually blended so they were more on the liquid side and it was an extra layer along with the tomato under the cheese. It was really good. Honestly I'm realizing there's not much I can contribute to the conversation because I haven't encountered any toppings I actually disliked. The bread with cheese and tomato base is way too versatile for that imo, goes well with most things. Actually, I don't know if that type of bread has other uses in its homeland but I've seen restaurants make the bread and then put like apple or cinnamon pie ingredients on it, making a dessert pizza. I just think pizza has potential for a lot of variety and it's cool to explore it instead of settling for a competition of who is the most skilled at placing pepperoni slices.
  23. "Ah, I see." Ilia said leaving her suitcase next to her bedroom. "I actually learned to cook recently, basic stuff at least. My family couldn't really afford the full meal plan. I'll be getting an allowance and I'm supposed to figure out how to spend it wisely and not starve. I'll still be eating in the cafeteria from time to time though. What about you? You seem to be well prepared." she said, gesturing to the stuff she was unpacking.
  24. Introductions done, Ilia started to calm down a little. That was usually the hard part. Hopefully they would get along. "So" Ilia started, walking over to Tessa and noticing the things she was unpacking "do we get our own kitchen? That would be nice."
