    The Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak demo. This one seems more forgiving than the previous one. Just did a triple hunt in the intermediate quest. I doubt I'll be so lucky with the next two but I'm having a blast so far. Edit: Did Astalos too. Malzeno unfortunately seems to be there only to give you a taste. He's buffed up and you get 15 minutes to beat him. Maybe on multi but, as things stand, I'll take my triple cart.

    I didn't intend to post again until finishing chapter 3 but, I need to take a moment to breathe. This chapter is getting absolutely unbearable. There are scenes where so much as clicking to see the next dialogue takes a good amount of courage. Given this post I'll try to keep quiet until the end of chapter 4. I don't want to flood this too much with my own double posts. I don't care too much about the mystery at the moment anyway, I just really need this chapter to be over.

    To me, life. Everyone has worth from the moment they are born until the moment they die. They might try really hard to lose it, hurting others, isolating themselves, stealing, killing. But in my opinion no matter how far down you go, you'll always be worth caring for in some measure. And it's when you find the person that does care that you'll get your chance to get back up. After that, like all the actions that brought you down in the first place, it's a choice whether you take it or not. What happened to this thread?

    Ilia stared at the alarm clock she had knocked over with her pillow. 7:23. Right, it's orientation day. She had no time for breakfast then, not like she had any food either. It was a great start for a day already. She got dressed as quickly as she could and left her bed undone. No time for that. She did grab a few cookies before stepping out. No actual food in the kitchen yet so snacks would have to do for now. Tessa had probably been more responsible than her as Ilia saw no sign of her. Stopping at the door she looked at her wristwatch. 7:27 now. She stepped out and started running, still yawning.

    Topic dedicated to the When They Cry series by Ryukishi07. This is a mystery visual novel series that while technically a game that you can get in game stores, is more akin to a book since the only interactivity is saving your progress. You get the obvious perks of art, sound effects, voice acting, and a soundtrack, but the action happens in the text. I actually turn on auto mode and sit back, so in a way it's also like a tv show. Even so, the author seems to consider them a game of a different kind, giving you a difficulty warning at the beginning of each chapter. This representing how difficult it would be to unravel the whole mystery with the information you'll get in that chapter. It consists of three main stories, Higurashi, Umineko, and the ongoing Ciconia. The stories are known for the unusual narrative choice of (spoilered to keep the surprise if you so wish) It also, at least in the case of Higurashi (though I'm pretty sure he does the same in later stories, judging by the author's comments on how he tells stories) bounces between tones. Each chapter starts as a lighthearted slice of life story, and roughly halfway through the mystery takes over, and the cheerful tone of the first half goes down by several notches all at once. This thread may end up as a diary of my own playthrough and little more but I'll still leave the summary above just in case somebody may be interested. That done, I have some thoughts after finishing chapter 2 of Higurashi.

    Ilia set two steaming cups on the table. Tea for her, she was getting sleepy and given the time, shaking off that sleepiness wouldn't be a great idea. "Tomorrow's orientation day, huh." she said idly, taking a seat. "Orientation for university, for this university. The realization's just now hitting me." She'd screamed when she got the letter, but ever since she had been too busy with preparations to actually think about it. She was here, now, hours away from her first day of classes. The excitement from when she got the letter came back in full force, and with it a wave of nervousness. "Well, I know we just met but I hope we can get along from here on out." Ilia said, yawning. She should turn in early tonight.

    Yes and no, I think. There's a lot of decision making involved, but you shouldn't stress over most of it. Go with the flow and don't slack off too much and you'll end up somewhere. I hope. Do you like pickles?

    Ohhhh it was Watanagashi the chapter that had the weird jokes, not the event. I feel dumb now. I get it, there's definitely some jokes here that I may hesitate to tell my mom. The restaurant chapter was immensely satisfying because of them though, or rather, because for once they were punishing characters portraying them. Ok I'll shut up for now. I can't come to the forum to talk about the same game each and every time something happens. I'll just say I'm extremely happy with the horror in this story. I was skeptical because it was a vn but it's really good in that regard. At parts I was genuinely scared and overall the whole second half was delightfully tense at all times.

    I like going to visit my mom or my dad (I'm in a pretty weird family situation) or relax at home. Generally though, I don't like going out several weekends in a row, I need some time to recharge. Butter or extra butter popcorn?

    Playing video games tends to calm me down when I'm stressed. Grinding easy stuff for a bit, or farming, or social simulation things. Not reflex-intensive stuff. Also, reading can help me when I have trouble sleeping. How do you stress?

    I don't really care for objectiveness, but if I did, maybe Ben-To? That show has no reason to exist but it's amazing. Though there's probably lots of stuff like that that I'm forgetting atm. If we go movies any of those cheap parodies that come out after a popular movie, like the Scary Movie series, Vampires Suck, I love those. There's also songs I could put here but I may get the banhammer for posting names like that. TPBM likes going out in the rain. Drenched clothes and wet hair included.

    Interesting. That word can have a lot of meanings. You could mean nerd as in person who likes to study, in which case "empollón" applies, since you didn't specify a language. You could mean nerd as in person obsessed with a hobby, in which case "otaku" applies, in any of its meanings. But since we already established that nerd can mean a variety of things, I'm gonna go with "Sanderfan". Do you have a guilty pleasure when it comes to books?

    That was expected from the beginning. No MH game is considered to be complete until it has a third, much more difficult rank. But for whatever reason they always wait a year or so to release it. I do hope it's more balanced but hey, I haven't played Rise. I don't have a right to talk about its difficulty.
