  1. Storms yes. I can never come up with anything on the fly and I just want to keep reading. So they end up reciting the songs somewhat rhythmically. This applies double for anything a singer or fused says. TPBM likes candy corn.
  2. At times. TPBM has good pancake-making skills.
  3. Hi, oldest of two here. Though it barely counts anymore because we have lived in different houses for almost a decade now. Weird family situations are weird. Does wonders to avoid arguments though.
  4. I don't think I have one. Dedicating time to finishing a book usually means I liked it. And any books I may potentially dislike I probably stop reading before I have time to actively dislike them. Does that make sense? How do you react when a friend passionately talks to you about something they love but you dislike?
  5. Yes. More specifically a collection of about 206 sticks. TPBM wears glasses.
  6. After eating breakfast and saying hello to Tessa, Ilia got out of the dorm and started walking, without needing to run this time, to the classroom she had been shown yesterday. Her first Enchanting class waiting for her. On the way Pinky appeared and landed on her shoulder, somehow falling asleep even with all the movement. He had probably been hunting and was now sleepy. She could already tell the food she bought for Pinky would last way longer out here. So much more prey for him than in the suburbs. There were a lot of students walking to the main building. Some were coming from the dorms and some from the cafeteria. Among them had to be her new classmates, and she couldn't help skipping happily for a few moments at the thought.
  7. No. I have two. Sometimes at the same time so there's nowhere for me to sleep. Napping. Ok, I don't nap every day, but way more often than I should. I lose a ton of time on that. If you could actually choose your own book and bane. What would they be?
  8. Finished the first Fatal Frame game. It's a lot shorter and smaller than the other games, which is saying a lot for a series where no games go above the 15-hour mark, but surprisingly (and I'm now ashamed to use that word) just as good as the rest. I expected something unpolished. Maybe the controls would be janky or the gameplay unbalanced or the ghosts boring. Maybe the game would be too small since it's all in a single house. Well, you do have less options with the camera but it works as I remember it. The game is really hard in comparison to the others but I wouldn't say unbalanced, if anything it would probably be a lot easier if I actually used my resources (no sacred waters spent in the entire game. Shameful). There weren't many ghosts but the few there are are memorable and have good stories, it's just as easy to become attached to them as it is in future games. The map is pretty small and once you have shortcuts you can probably traverse between any two given points in under two minutes, but the game makes the most of it hiding things and mixing things up between chapters. This isn't an experiment looking for an identity, this is a darn good game marking a path so clear, the subsequent games were left with no option but to follow in its steps. Absolute gem of a game, on to Fatal Frame 3 now.
  9. Getting to school only to find out that the teachers for your first few clases couldn't make it, and you could have arrived 3 hours later.
  10. Poking their ribs or balancing things on their head. What is a hated food that you love?
  11. Band-Maid's new EP. It says EP but it's practically a full size album. Granted, at least four of these songs had been released already but it's still four other new songs, so I'm pretty happy right about now. Unleash is one of my candidates for favorite song this year along with Mili's Skin-Deep Comedy and Unlucky Morpheus' Welcome to Valhalla. Won't be surprised if another one comes out of this album. Additionally, on the podcast side of things, I started listening to Nowhere, On Air, and am enjoying it greatly. This was a really nice surprise as I never managed to enjoy Welcome to Night Vale, but I loved the concept, so I'm glad to find now a different take on that idea. Really chill, I like the sense of humor. Fun.
  12. By taking the longest I actually mean that I started reading this on release. Even longer if you count the preview chapters. Still, what a great close. This is the first time ever that I feel this much closure to Kaladin's character. I do wish I hadn't been spoiled about but what can you do. It wasn't as bombastic as Oathbringer but I think this has the highest amount of my favorite moments in any of the books so far, which must mean this is my favorite of the four. Design is the best spren ever. Change my mind. Navani's arc was definitely my favorite here. Moash is delightfully twisted. Lirin is stubborn but cool, and Hesina is the perfect counterpoint. Teft is good. Teft is always good. This does feel like the calm before the storm. no pun intended. It wasn't a Sanderlanche in the full sense of the word, but so many things have been set up for book five (are we calling it KoW already?), I can only feel excitement. Oh, to think I can go back to the book subforum after my two year banishment. This day is unreal.
  13. Well, I think this is it. I was going for the record of person who took the longest to read RoW. Did I get it? I haven't finished but I can feel the thing. The thing where you know you won't stop reading until you're done, even if you have to stay up until 3am. Hopefully that won't be necessary, but either way this ends today. Really excited.
  14. Yep, though it feels like cheating when the story in question was a romance. But there was a love triangle involved so I had a 50/50 chance of being wrong. TPBM is reading more books simultaneously than they realistically should.
  15. Quite a few actually. During holidays and stuff, if we were staying anywhere and there weren't enough beds, my little sister usually had the priority to get one. Couches are pretty comfortable though, when you're still small enough to fit. Do you have a love-hate relationship with any work of fiction?
  16. Haven't finished many, but I've liked the endings for the ones I have. TPBM is a lactose intolerant that drinks milk anyway.
  17. Well great, now I want to hunt a Mizu. He might just be my favorite monster, glad to see new variants.
  18. Been trying out the Harvestella demo. I like it. Music is really nice, combat system feels extremely basic so far but it works. Farming is faster than I'm used to, and days are short. It always felt weird to me how tight these games are with the schedule when their whole deal is to be relaxing, I think Rune Factory still strikes my favorite balance with that. Days there are short but not this short, and and there's so little pressure with the story that you have to keep track yourself because it stops reminding you to advance it. Back to Harvestella, plot looks way crazier than it needs to be but I'm absolutely ok with that. Speaking of this morning's direct as a whole, the highlight for me was definitely Fatal Frame 4. It may just be a remaster, but this is really good news for the series. Each day we're closer to a Fatal Frame 6 announcement. I may have shed an actual tear while watching the trailer. Fae Farm and Rune Factory 3 are definitely up there too. Look, I like fantasy farm sims. They have the coziness of a farm sim, but you can also have dragons. Can't say I'm the least bit upset at the unusual number of them coming out lately. Excited for FE and TotK though I still feel as if I know nothing about the latter. Looking forward to Pikmin, and I'm really intrigued by Various Daylife and Rain Code.
  19. Doing a lot of teasing here. I hope we at least get one full trailer before the year is over.
  20. Honestly I love it. I have played sessions in person before and honestly, the difference isn't that big. I certainly prefer this over not playing at all. Also the client we use is reaaaally fun to mess around with. Of course, no figures though.
  21. (Moash redemption arc advocates, sign here. Oh, only one person signed, and it was me. That's vexing) I don't even know what fields there are. Probably something related to space or microscopic stuff. Do you drink tap water?
  22. I need to check out some more but probably Shinx. Yes, I'm pretty vanilla. Best type of candy?
  23. 3:26am. Been here since 9pm. Pathfinder sessions can get long... TPBM hasn't finished their homework for the weekend.
  24. Face down I think. I'm not there to see myself sleep and before falling asleep I'm a certified tornado but that's how I usually wake up. Tomato or tomato?
