Yes, of course I do. I wouldn't be planning a coup d'état or anything like that. Nope, no coups at all. TPBM knows the true meaning of summer.

This is a difficult one, which means everyone will be like "I should let another person answer that one", and then the thread will be buried! Ok, I'll try to remember something. You know what, maybe "How are you?". It's a very thoughtful question but I always end up replying "Fine, thanks." without ever even considering stopping to think about how I am, so. If you had the knowledge, resources, and willingness to be responsible, what unusual animal would you have as a pet? Can be anything from a koala or a panda to a rhinoceros or a blue whale.

Saw that, it's cool though I'll miss the shi's. Now, if anyone, and by anyone I mean Ryukishi, dares to touch a single hair over Maria's head, I'll go to hell when I die just so I can drag him with me. (also I've been preparing for a story maybe in England 1800s, wth)

And here I thought the heartstring tugging was over... So you were right, Saikoroshi was actually one of three arcs in Rei and so far as I could tell, the only one directly relevant to the main plot. (I'll check the other two in due time but I'm itching to start Umineko if I'm being perfectly honest). I actually came out of this with questions this time around. Sorry for question dumping all of a sudden but for the first time I got questions that I legitimately don't know if they will get answered in later novels/ovas/whatever. Not replying is fine too, I guess this isn't too different from my usual rambles post-chapter. And what I'm asking could be spoilers, probably. Argh, anyway. On to Umineko chapter 1, which I actually don't know the name to. Time to learn another 8 complicated names.

Well, it's over. Finally finished Matsuribayashi. I wonder what would be the word for it. Cathartic is one, that's for sure. Liberating is another. Once I realized there weren't any more plot twists left I started to cry. Not because I knew it was the end, but because I finally relaxed and that's what came out of it. You're constantly bracing yourself for the next drop on the roller coaster, so when you realize there aren't any more, it's like you can finally exhale after a long time holding your breath. It was also very frenetic. I've read it's a good idea to watch/read Rei before Umineko, so maybe I'll do that as it's apparently pretty short. I also followed the steps to get the secret ending right after I finished and it didn't work. That said I read the Tip that was unlocked after the credits before trying, and after that both the staff room and the tip disappeared from the Extras menu. So maybe it glitched or I triggered something I shouldn't have. It's late and it's been a long session though, I'll figure it out later. The ending was great as it is. If it can get even better, I can wait a bit to see it. Ah yes, there are also the console arcs. But if VNDB is to be believed, together they are as long as the main 8.... so I think I will tackle those another time. Anyway, I went into this expecting 8 chapters of horror mystery. Turned out the horror was only a mirage you have to step through to find a variety of genres that don't seem to fit with one another but they do somehow, and they are weaved into one of the best crafted stories I've had the pleasure to read. And if everyone's comments are to be believed, Umineko is the same thing but even better. So well, here I go. Time to find out what an umineko is. Hopefully not a cat fish.

Theoretically. It's a thing I made as practice to get into a schedule. It's going so-so. Can you do a backflip?

...Interstellar? "Crying helps me slow down and obsess over the weight of life's problems."

I think it's probably WoT. Could swear I read Mat saying that recently. Let's see, something nice and easy. "Oh, he's doing his own theme music?"

Nothing fancy. Saw someone talking about Mistborn online, gave me the (wrong) impression that it was this pseudo-grimdark depressing thing. I became more curious than interested, researched the author, saw some curious comments about how he criticizes the journey and how he subverted it with his first book. Then I read said first book. Incidentally, after the week it took me to read it I found the Shard by googling questions, and for some reason decided to join without even thinking about it. Then I avoided most subforums anyway because literally everything was a spoiler. Did it get suddenly colder where you live?

Can't recall the whole origin story but I think it involved a thread called something like dark alley where someone came up with the idea of spiking cookies, and then they started offering them in introduction threads. And I may be making up things but I think it may have spawned Alleyverse somehow. TPBM wants a cookie anyway.

Now I gotta try to reread all the best scenes, several times each, picturing a different haircut each time. I think his hair may have plot armor, it will look amazing no matter the circumstances. Oh storms, now I have to picture all the people worshiping Kal, calling him a hero, the kids trying to be like him, and he's just this tall muscled guy with a messy unkempt curly tangle of hair on top under which you may or may not find a face.

24 years. Incidentally that's my age. What is your favorite ice cream flavor?

I actually feel like a rebel formatting this normally. TPBM is a rebel too.

Turns out it was a puzzle, and apparently after finishing the game you can repeat it and get a secret ending if you make no mistakes. Thing is now I don't know which ending is the true one, but I guess I'll find out.
-
All the time. Haven't really tried the "matching music to my writing" thing. Feels kinda unintuitive. TPBM is really sleepy.

The only reason I haven't won it is because I'm making time. Once I'm old I'll take a bite before anyone can take it away. If you could have every piece of knowledge about the Cosmere, its stories, and its characters, but in exchange you couldn't ever read another Cosmere book, would you?

Create a character that loves dogs but fears them.
-
Ok, this sounds really fun actually. Spoilered for length. Create a character that wants to be rich, but is only willing to put the least amount of effort for it.
-
Alright, Minagoroshi done. This is the most uplifting chapter so far, no contest. Also the longest. I was aware that they were going to get longer as they went but not to this degree. At 26 hours, for me this was almost twice as long as Onikakushi. Anyway, spoilers ahead. Side note, where does Satoko keep all those buckets? It feels like she can will one appearing over your head any time she wants. What a frightening power. Oh and a tangent. Dude's making a Silent Hill now? What the hell?! I need a ps5, I have high hopes for that. Anyway, so close to the grand finale now. On to Matsuribayashi.
-
No, but I'm excited about three releases in like a six-month period (Witch on the Holy Night, Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse, and Trails into Reverie). TPBM has a special event at school this week.
-
Only the Diary of a Wimpy Kid ones. How does everyone on the Shard seems to be able to finish Mistborn in a day? That's like two weeks for me and only if I drop all other hobbies and read during classes. TPBM is a fast learner.
-
Yes. TPBM likes cinammon rolls.

Yet more reasons to learn to gm. For the time being I just wrote it down and I'll ask him about it two years from now when the campaign is over. As if he's gonna remember.

Kinda. But I also enjoy not having to take care of bulky wings and hollow bones. TPBM has a taste for weird music.
