  1. Permanent planning thread. If we reach a new era before we go over a page count (Probably be using 100 like the Reckoners planning threads) then I'll add the extra tags in. On that note, I'll be cleaning up anything I find but if a thread occurs across multiple eras and isn't a guild thread, please use each era tag individually.
  2. Can I join too? I'm a newcomer to these parts and what have you. Ignore my name and picture, for some reason those look like they're from another Sharder but my real name is Sudiov and here's my actual dp: Totally different from that other guy. You should let me in to all your secrets and give me access to your bakeries while unsupervised.
  3. The two figures both were both introduced, assisted to some degree by floating subtextual reminders which it now seemed were being caused by the initial person she'd met, Kokichi. Megan struggled to regain control over herself, resisting whatever strange compulsion had caused her to stumble over her words like that. “Hold on a moment, Kokichi. I’d like to know more about you… Melanie, if you are going to be joining us. Something more than your name and destination.” Well I guess it was a bit of a long shot that anyone would believe that terrible of a lie. She smiled hesitantly towards Kokichi, struggling to think of what to say, then awkwardly turned to face the other man, Liam. If they were both Epics and they thought she was just some regular girl then things probably wouldn't end very well. But they didn't exactly seem like normal Epics, what if they were one of those groups who went around trying to kill Epics? Wrekingers or whatever they were called. But in the end, she decided that truth was probably best, or at least some parts of it. "Sorry, my name's actually Megan, I just wasn't sure if I should give it to someone I just met. I'm trying to find someone, my sister. Last she was seen it was heading into Alberta somewhere and Edmonton seemed like an easier place to start looking. Have you seen her? Or heard anything about her? She looks just like me, or well she did anyway." She hesitated for a moment, she'd know if anything had happened to Allison probably but that didn't help in finding her. What if she was laying low? Not coming out or being seen? Would she be able to find her again? Be able to be together again? A small stream of tears began trickling out of her eyes, her hair suddenly seemed to have become clean and untangled and the tears glittered with an unnatural sparkle when they fell.
  4. I think that'd be a good place for Laurelai to have been training too.
  5. 1-16 years after the seven day war. Voidus sat in a bubble, eating cookies.
  6. Voidus has been trapped in a giant impenetrable bubble so won't be receiving any bequeathment anytime soon
  7. It wasn't breaking. The Devourer squeezed with all its supernatural strength, tried to grind its claw against the scales of the Deep to carve in deeper but it wasn't breaking. It refused to snap, tear or break. But it was weaknening. The Devourer could feel the muscles underneat slowly losing their tension. Yes. You will see who was more favoured by the masters. They knew I was strong. Stronger than the others. So they gave me hunger, so I would devour everything and become even stronger. It felt reality warp around it but paid it no mind, all it had to do was maintain the grip. Keep breaking until the meal before it stopped fighting back. Reality warped again and it felt the familiar sensation of gravity pulling it to the earth. But that wouldn't distract it either. It would survive any fall that the Deep could impose on it. The Devourer closed its eyes, focussing all of its strength on the grip it still held. You. Will. Break. The Deep was biting into it in return, seeking to crack through its hardened armour. That was fine. When it devoured the Deep it would have enough energy to heal again. The Deep tightened its grip, holding the Devourer still, but where would it go? It's enemy was right here, it had no need to run. A spear of solid force slammed into its back from above, beginning to widen the crack in its armour that the Deep had started to carve, driving it into the ground. The Devourer opened its eyes with a snap, only now seeing the tower of water above it that seemed to stretch beyond up and up until it vanished beyond the atmospheres reach. The tower with a single point that was currently crashing into its back. Its grip on the Deep loosened as it saw the ground rapidly approaching below. The fall itself would do no serious harm to either of them, but the Devourer was the only one that had a titanic spear crashing into its back, ready to crush it between the two forces. Fine. The Devourer shifted to the other place, momentarily escaping the weight of water against its back and looking around for something else to Devour. But there was nothing left. There was never enough food for it in the ocean anyway and it had already devoured what little there was. But it at least here it didn't have to worry about that huge- It was suddenly back in the physical place, the spear still held against its body, the Deep crushing it, holding it in place. You. Stupid thing. Hated thing. You were not their favorite. I was. The Devourer tried to shift itself somewhere else in this place, move itself directly to the ground and away from the spear. But the Deep had wrapped around it entirely, the power in its body blocked any attempt to shift past it. The Devourer crashed into the ground, its legs buckling under its own weight but the small cracks that formed in its armour were already healing, using up what remained of the power it had devoured. But then the weight of the spear crashed into its back once more, forcing it to the ground, cracking its armoured plates and piercing through the softer flesh that lay underneath. Piercing through the ground that was underneath, pinning the Devourer down, a huge gaping hole filled with water where once it's body had been. I was their favorite. The Devourer struggled weakly, body still struggling to heal around the huge hole but unable to displace the water that was still there. It's stinger struck weakly at the Deep, trying in vain to secure another hit. To stab its hated enemy and fill it with venom.
  8. The Devourer slammed into the ground, feeling its carapace crack under the force of its impact, some of its softer innards beginning to show through the holes in its armour. It grabbed a small handful of the nearby beads, very few existed here but there were still a scant few across the floor. They gave it a small surge of energy, sealing shut the armoured plates and reforming its internal structure. The Devourer turned its gaze upward, glaring with hatred towards the Deep that still hung above. The Devourer spent almost as much time in this realm as the other so it wasn't uncomfortable, but this time it had been brought here forcibly, against its will. That thing will pay for this. It hissed within its mind. Shifting itself to the Deep, it caught a handful of its body with one claw and began to squeeze, exerting a pressure that could crush mountains and turn forests into wood dust. Snap. Snap in two so I can suck the innards. Snap and DIE.
  9. Well the beauty of non-canonical threads is you don't really need anyones permission for them since it can't interfere with the rest of the story. But yeah I'm definitely in favour of more of those cropping up, try to tag them as 'Not canon' if possible.
  10. Not a Shard of Adonalsium but something pretty similar so it's mostly just a matter of semantics.
  11. As their two titanic bodies began to wrap and struggle against each other, the Devourer pulled its spear in, a lot of it was lost to the large torrent of water that was sent to oppose it, but some managed to get through, scoring a deep scratch against the surface of the Deep. But even as it watched, that wound began to heal itself over, sealing shut into seamless scales again. The rest of the sand was carried back to shore by the tsunami, forming a new peninsula as it crashed into the landmass, but sodden as it was it wouldn't be of any more use to the Devourer. Instead it launched an entirely physical assault, grasping and holding with its two claws it struck with its stinger again and again, injecting an olympic pools worth of venom into the body of the Deep, though it seemed to be healing the damage faster than the venom was causing it. Hissing in frustration the Devourer strugled to get a better grip when its body was slammed into the surface of the ocean, ending a giant spray of water upwards as the Devourer was dragged deeper and deeper. The pet wants to take me back to its cage? The Devourer thought, noticing their trajectory seemed to be taking them back where it had first emerged. Of course it would go back. It's probably to afraid the masters will punish it for escaping. Well it wouldn't trap the Devourer back in there, it would finish the Deep off first and grow stronger when it too was devoured. Opening its mouth, the Devourer tried to suck in the water of this ocean, testing if it could provide it strength in the same way the ocean of the other place did. But as the water entered its stomach it simply vanished in the same way that ordinary dirt did. Disappointing. It shifted to the other place, appearing in mid air before falling to the floor. The ocean not present here like it was when it shifted from the land. Urgh. No food. No energy. It devoured the few specks of flame that flickered through the area, some small creatures like the ones on land. But there weren't enough to satisfy it. Shifting back it tried attacking the deep from its new position, further below. Striking repeatedly with its stinger.
  12. The van skidded to a halt a second after it passed, throwing up dust somehow in-spite of the fact that the road was asphalt. She lowered a hand that she'd started raising towards it, thankfully not needing to stop it herself. From the passenger side a figure stepped out, completely obscured by the large cloud of dust until an opportune gust of wind started blowing it away. The figure that was revealed was wearing the most eye-watering array of vibrant colours that she'd seen since Doctor Funtimes, a hoodie of a light, almost neon blue, a somehow natural looking purple hair and bright orange crocs. Well that's either an Epic, or someone who's very quickly going to be killed by an Epic. Megan thought as the figure approached. The... boy? girl? She couldn't place a gender to the figure as it approached, reaching out a hand to her. A backdrop of roses appeared behind them as their hair continued moving to a non-existent breeze and their features seemed to almost glow. Epic it is then. She looked cautiously towards the figure as they spoke. “Hi! Who are you?” She found herself suddenly overcome with a compulsion to fidget and avoid meeting their eyes as she gave a half-truth. "Uh... M-M-Mega- I mean Melanie. I'm just. Um... just trying to get to the city." Her feet shifted as she looked down, not sure why she was suddenly acting like the worlds most obvious liar.
  13. I really like the idea of a bunch of students graduating together and then setting out on an adventure.
  14. Moving this to Cosmere discussion as it deals with Mistborn as well as Stormlight Archive. To answer the question: As far as we know canonically you would only be able to store the ability to use it.
  15. Personally I think the strength of FFRP is shown to its fullest when you discovery write, figure out the plot as you go along. Just meet up with some characters, see what happens.
  16. Phew. Alright, most things should now be tagged, I only included era tags for anything that had RP in it, or some of the era 0 stuff so it's clearly distinct from the rest. All subject to change, plenty I probably got wrong so feel free to update or point them out
  17. ALL OF THE UPVOTES FOR THE AWESOMENESS! (Seriously, you are incredibly awesome)
  18. Luckily, at this point in time Voidus was still trapped in a shield so he couldn't drop by to inform everyone yet again that technically they were making Hemalurgy-free cookies well before TUBA was.
  19. Yeah I started tagging things already so currently it's 0 based (Programmers preference for me, I like my indexes 0-based) Definitely up for discussion still if there's a majority who would prefer it another way but I tend to agree that having everything before the Alleyverse was formalized be era 0 makes more sense to me.
  20. Planning thread for era 2 planning
  21. It seemed that the Devourers prison wasn't the only one that had been released. It watched the creature rise up from the deeps and give the Devourer a baleful stare before it charged forwards. The Devourer charged at the same time, eight legs moving in a blur of speed as it rushed across the sands that it had been trapped in. It dragged the sands along with it, raising countless ribbons out of the ground and into the air until an entire desert floated along in the air, leaving a large hollow where once had stretched endless sands. An enormous spear of sand formed above, larger even than the Devourer or its foe, and with a single swift thrust of its claw, the Devourer sent the spear hurtling towards the Deep, spinning rapidly to allow it to pierce even more efficiently. The Devourer itself followed up by shifting itself immediately next to the Deep, closing the dozen kilometers that had been between them in an instant. It attacked with claws, mandibles and stinger, and from the other side pulled the giant spear towards them both. @I think I am here. post replaced
  22. We have explicit word of Brandon that Allomancy is of Preservation, Hemalurgy of Ruin: source And a pretty heavy indication: source If they're balanced at fueling Feruchemy then that's definitely a very strong suggestion that it's a balance of their powers. Allomancy is of Preservation because it's how you obtain the power that matters, Preserving yourself by using the power from something else* source
