"If we're going to have a quality heart-to-heart, I insist that you come a little closer." Impact smiled as she drifted towards the Epic. If he wanted her within close range, well that was his mistake to make. Perhaps he thought that someone with flying abilities would naturally prefer to keep a distance, using that to their advantage. Now within 15 feet of the Epic she paused for a moment before continuing onwards, keeping her face calm as her mind continued to spin. He seemed to be some sort of speed Epic, but if that were the case why would he want me closer? He'd think he could just chase after me if I took off. Maybe trying to get me on solid ground? She softly touched back down on the ground, still supporting most of her weight with her abilities but she would at least seem to be earthbound for the moment. "Just passing through." She said, again enhancing her voice so it carried. "Your welcoming committee left a bit to be desired." She jerked her head towards the guards who'd scattered the moment this Epic arrived.

I'd say it's a reasonable mistake for anyone still in their teens given that they grew up in an environment where there were no other feds. But for anyone older than 20ish I'd say yeah they probably know the difference.

After much arguing with the other members of the DA, Voidus finally sat back down. A few stayed nearby, ready to try and wrestle him back into his chair if he tried to leave again. "Fine. I agree that ending the universe would not be a proportionate response to a pineapple. But it has to be worth at least one of the smaller Alleys worth of abominations and experiments." Voidus said. He watched the soldier who had thrown the pineapple and smiled, trying to decide which of the Alleys would be most suited to giving the man a painful death. "Alley 45, should have a few Kolossal, Strangers and some of the Eldritch held there. Let them loose and see if you can direct them towards the intruders." A few Acolytes moved away to begin releasing the experiments from the mentioned Alley. Voidus turned his attention away from the soldier and onto Mace. Should have given a more specific instruction. Stones, flaming boulders, carts of manure. Anything would have been better than that was. Peering more intently at Mace, Voidus realized something. A vein began pulsing on his head and the chair splintered underneath him, turning into a pile of dust. Voidus retained the same posture, now sitting in mid air. "Him. He's the one who killed my rock." The senior members of the DA again moved to restrain Voidus.

Unfortunately Nighthounds ability was total control over people he gifted so I don't think much of a contest would be going on.

Voidus sat quietly in an Alley, occasionally he gave advice to members of the DA who requested it. Sometimes he helped transport some members or experiments off-world. But mostly he just watched, hoping that his hand wouldn't be forced. He watched Mace form a group that seemed to be heading directly for DA territory. Must we do this? He thought. We should at least start with something small, ward them off towards the rest of the battlefield. Maybe send a few Kolossal with a Sentry? Mace turned to speak to his group, asking one of them to throw something at the worldspike. Voidus chuckled to himself. He continued laughing softly as he saw the soldier look towards the worldspike and take aim, finally launching something in its direction. Nice throw, must have one heck of a strength enhancement. Voidus thought, watching as it sailed a mile into the air. If it weren't for the wards that would... would... is that what I think it is? He watched the small object sail towards the worldspike, eventually skittering off its invisible barrier. He looked at the object as it hit the ground, splattering and divulging it's squishy yellow contents. Voidus narrowed his eyes. "They dare bring that... that thing here?" He stood up, alarming a few acolytes nearby at the sudden shift in his mood. "TUBA forces approach." Voidus said, addressing those who had gathered nearby. "Send everything." Some distance away, at the edge of the barrier of the worldspike, a pineapple lay, crushed to pieces.

Hemalurgic Compounding? (spiking something already spiked)
Voidus replied to Cyanic's question in Cosmere Q&A
I lean towards @Calderis's interpretation as well, but I do go back and forth a bit on it. Given that your spiritweb isn't a physical thing you wouldn't necessarily have to place the spike in the same physical location as the other spike in order to steal the Spiritual aspect. But I think if it was possible the best you could hope for would be that the piece of spiritweb would fracture between both spikes, after all the original spike is still inside the host and still in a bindpoint so it should be holding onto the spiritweb fragment as well. -
Impact waited in midair as the guards subdued the other figure and also began turning in her direction. She considered leaving now that the situation seemed to be wrapping up but the little pests who were watching her were clearly waiting for something. Hopefully that something was what she thought it was. Finally, Impact watched as a new figure arrived on the scene with impossible speed, paused briefly to take stock of the scene and berate his subordinates before turning to face her directly. Thank Calamity, another Epic. Someone at least worth addressing now. She watched the knife the Epic hurled, there didn't seem to be any obvious signs of power usage beyond the sheer speed of the throw, though it did have a strange motion to it, it seemed to slow as it left his hand before accelerating mid air. Lacking the time to analyse the projectile any further Impact held herself immobile, letting the knife fly directly into her before crumpling as soon as it came into contact. "Hello to you as well." She said, speaking softly but imparting a force on the air that carried her words, letting them travel father than was natural. "May we have a discussion? Or are you another of those battle junkies?" After another hour of walking, Scribbler finally reached one of Olympia Polaris' infamous slow zones. One of many that surrounded the city, other than at the allocated checkpoints, the area was faintly discernible by the warping in the air, looking closely she could also see the small breeze seemed to crawl across the space, slowly picking up a section of dust and inching its way towards the city. Scribbler regarded the whole thing with distaste, a deep crease formed in her brow as she continued to glare at the warping. Habitually she reached into a pocket for some gum but she'd long since run out on the journey here. She'd need to acquire some locally at some point, but first... "First is getting into the city." She whispered. "Over? Under? Or through?" She leaned back to get a better view of how high up the area went but the distortion was hard to make out against the backdrop of the sky. "Could continue underground for a while too, but if I go through I'll lose time. Maybe a lot of time, and they'll be able to prepare inside." While she thought the problem over she reached into another pocket and pulled out a glass container filled with black liquid, some of it had begun to congeal into more of a paste. Unscrewing the lid and kneeling down in the ground to get some stability, Scribbler pulled a small, sharp needle out of the lid before taking a steadying breath and stabbing it into one of her fingers. She squeezed a drop of blood out of the small needle prick and let it fall into the container of ink. Swirling it to allow her blood to mix with the rest of the contents, she directed her attention on it, slowly stirring up the liquid, breaking up the parts that had started to solidify. "No way around it, I'll need to use one of the borders. With any luck they'll have an Epic or two guarding it." She crooked her finger at the container of ink, causing a small stream to slowly rise out of it, trailing after her finger. She guided the finger onto her arm, shifting some of her other tattoos to make room, and then began to trace out words. The ink followed her finger and began sinking into her skin, creating a semi-permanent mark. "'Fire' and 'Wind' would be good, show off a little if I need to. 'Light' if I need to blind them. Might need a 'Shield' on this arm too if things escalate too quickly." Scribbler began making her way to the western border, a line of ink trailing after her as she prepared herself for what would happen in Olympia Polaris.

Well it's less that she's listening to them and more that she's trying to ignore them and just continue doing what she was doing EDIT: Just realized that probably was referring to Jacklyn not Impact. Whoops.

My search continues.

Been looking for someone who could take a commission for character portraits for a D&D game.
-
Impact's not really going to engage unless someone shoots her or an Epic shows up. Side note but any chance you do digital art too?
-
Or Impact, either really.
-
I'm assuming there were no Epics in that group of enforcers?
-
Impact remained perfectly still as the five armed men and women approached her. They'd drawn their weapons and aimed them in her direction. One of these people had better have the power to make these toys of theirs shoot rockets or I'm going to be insulted. She arched one eyebrow in their direction, neither moving to attack nor raising her arms in surrender. From her vantage point in the air she saw the another group of similarly uniformed and armed guards closing on the disturbance that she'd first seen, one of them firing off a shot. The five who had approached her traded looks, seeming slightly put off by her nonchalance to their threats. Hopefully they'd be wise enough not to try and attack her anyway, she was interested in seeing where this went.

I'd say an Epic likely wouldn't be able to be taken over, both because of interference and also because Nighthounds power itself doesn't work on Epics.

Well I guess we'll wait to hear back on the opinions of others then.

If I spent several hours in therapy first then I might be able to get the courage to resurrect Nighthound, but I don't think I could ever actually try to write him.
-
* Realizes that he said PP might be around making Motivators and would have had ample opportunities to steal some Nighthound blood*
