  1. No you're right, but keep in mind the faster you tap it the more energy goes towards compressing the energy. I think Brandon explained it as getting 2x Strength for an hour could give you 4x strength for 20 minutes, not 30 like you'd expect. Although we really don't know the specifics on this.
  2. Feruchemy can't produce lightspeed by itself, it would need compounding. I think it's Duralumin that pushes it for me, allomancy with Duralumin is just epic.
  3. Java and C are the same. Make sure you put a semicolon at the end of every line... NOT THAT ONE! Oops now your program instead of creating a game of pong will destroy your computer while emailing your bank account details to everyone on your friends list. Bugs are weird.
  4. Or there's a missing semicolon
  5. Well it's certainly possible, she may flee to the Dalles along with Stitch after the attacks tonight (Potentially the bulk of the MEE could relocate there once the fighting begins in earnest and our need for canon fodder is reduced by all battling each other) Being relatively computer literate I can confirm that the Internet Gods gathering fairy dust is exactly how the cache settles (I may have fallen asleep during the comp sci class where they covered caches)
  6. Velth scanned the cave as he closed Nyns wounds, running over the events of the battle. Why had Malacath chosen a mage for a champion? It seemed so unlike the Daedric lord, but then if there was one thing Velth had learned in his long life it was that Daedra could never be predicted. He shelved the idea for now, he could unravel the mystery later, perhaps write a paper on it. Nyns wounds closed over, healed for the most part though Velth was no master of Restoration. He looked over the various corpses that littered the caves floor with disinterest, the weapons, armour and loot might sell for a good few Septims but Velth had little interest in money, he finally glimpsed something promising, what looked to be the chambers of the mage. He headed in to loot the many shelves of the books the mage had collected, along with her own personal diary which he would pour over later. To his great surprise he also found several bottles of Cyrodillic wine, not a Surrile but still an excellent vintage. Perhaps all this adventuring would be worthwhile after all.
  7. "Well" Voidus sighed as the guests rapidly departed. "That could have gone better, no one even tried the punch." He looked forlornly towards the punch bowl, several large pieces of metal sticking out of it. It seemed the acolytes had decided to spike the punch in their own way.
  8. Never trust anyone who wants you to avoid cookies. I mean what kind of monster objects to cookies? Welcome to the insanity of the 17th Shard where cookies, random speculation and ponies abound!
  9. Half lash yourself upwards while tapping your Ironminds of all the weight you've ever stored.
  10. The only reason I want to keep Synesthesia alive is so that all future battles can have dramatic theme music playing in the background. Or wildly inappropriate 'theme' music for the entrance of all future Epics into her presence.
  11. Synesthesia watched the flare go skywards, dropping her pistols as she did so. Blasted things needed to be reloaded so frequently, why did anyone use them? She pulled out two knives from their sheathes around her waist, one was a push dagger, it's mahogany handle perfectly suited to her hands with a short blade protruding upwards, perfect for thrusting stabs. The other was much larger, with a much sharper edge. She set about stabbing and slicing the remaining guards, they stumbled about blindly, the combination of her abilities and Disrupt had quickly rendered them useless. With a quick slice she hamstrung the final guard and then slammed her fist into his neck, the push dagger penetrating straight through the jugular and windpipe. Refill and the other members of the MEE reached them just as the guard gurgled out his final bloody intake of breath. "The other guards will have seen that" Refill said. "If they contact the Epics we may have to contend with them before the night is out." The surrounding members of the MEE had varying reactions, ranging from joy at the prospect of a fight to terror. "We outnumber Alterminds little crew, let them try!" Yelled one of the Epics, a fire Epic though Synesthesia could not recall his name. The Epic then walked up to the Steel wall and concentrated, his fists began to glow with a blue light and he threw a quick jab out in front of him, shooting a small fireball at the wall in an obvious attempt to emphasize his point by destroying it, the fireball hit and immediately dissipated, leaving absolutely no discernible damage to the wall. "Well." Synesthesia broke in. "Perhaps if you spent some more time listening and less time interrupting you might have listened to the briefing that said an Epic made these walls. That's why we need to scale them." "I will be going solo on my own mission" Refill said "The rest of you form up into your groups, cause as much damage as possible, if you find an enemy Epic don't act rashly, overwhelm them with numbers, they will underestimate us and that will be their undoing. Move out!" Synesthesia quickly formed into her group with Disrupt, Growthspurt and Dodgeball. "Anyone care for some theme music?" She asked, applying careful usage of her power across the various colours on her dress to create the opening notes from the Imperial March from Star wars.
  12. If you go to someone's profile page and then the 'profile feed' tab there's an option to leave a message.
  13. Voidus turned to the experiment in surprise, was her hearing enhanced? It was difficult to guage the distance and he'd not been monitoring the level of his voice, however any possible information regained from the experiment would be valuable. "Of course not um..." The Infiltrators had been paying close attention to the experiment as she attempted to find recruits, she'd even taken a name. The new name! Rust and Ruin what was the new name? Can't afford any mishaps... Winter! That was it! "Of course not Winter, my apologies" Voidus said smoothly "Just a technicality. Indeed the Alley is most anxious to reopen communications with you. Perhaps we can help each other out, we have many staff experienced in... various methods of recruitment should you be interested?"
  14. Voidus quickly scanned the room upon hearing Mail-mi's communication. Experiment 371? Why would she be back? Surely not just for the party? At least it wasn't one of the creations from Alley 7, nothing from Alley 7 could ever be allowed to escape. Voidus pulled the walkie up to his mouth and switched channels. "Containment team 7 come in, we have a situation at the party, dispatch a containment squad, they are to watch only for the moment unless the subject attacks, this is experiment 371 she hasn't provided us with any trouble so far." Voidus hoped that she would continue to avoid causing trouble, there was no telling what damage an angry experiment could do until they were finished causing it. He put the walkie talkie away and strode back to Queen Elsa who was chatting with Mail-mi. "Sorry about that just a small Hema- er... cookie-monster issue." He said to the queen, respectful as always towards the sponsors of the Dark Alley.
  15. And we're ten pages off needing a new thread, we will soon have the 5 largest threads on the 17th shard, and they're all filled with ponies and random insanity. Stage 2 of our plan for forum domination is soon to be complete.
  16. From my knowledge it is possible but it's highly unlikely that you'll find a site like that, I believe google filters such websites from its search results. It's highly unlikely to be an issue so long as you are careful what and where you download.
  17. Is that Verbatim? Because it might not have been Splintered just the Shardholder killed, which would be interesting.
  18. I mostly play EDH with friends but I occasionally go along to FNM to play standard or drafts.
  19. The main thing is just to check anything you download, particularly .exe files, google does a pretty good job of filtering out websites otherwise.
  20. *Hugs for Twi and Quiver* I don't even know where to start with this last week, it's just been one of those times where it's just one thing after another and you finally feel like you've got some stability again and then something else horrible goes wrong. Well to start with my panic attacks started up again, mines not OCD or anything, I have a couple of minor compulsions but no where near strong enough to be classified as OCD, just stuff like not stepping on cracks in pavement, always putting the volume on an even number but none of them give me that much trouble. I mostly just get social anxiety, put me in a crowd and 3 minutes later you'l find me in a sweaty ball in the corner somewhere. So that' started getting worse, then I had to sift through the 50 or so rejection letters from jobs for the week, which is really disheartening when it's for the 20th week in a row, then I got an email with an actual job offer from an international auction company for helping their ebay sellers, normally I'd be a bit suspicious of something like that but I do a fair bit of eBay selling myslef so I thought it might be worth a try, turns out that was a money laundering scam and I had to go to the police station and they said they couldn't do anything because it's international so that was all horrible. Anyway we ended up just closing all our accounts and making new ones, it was a horrible couple of days but we got through it. Then we got severely underpaid for the last weeks worth of catalogues we delivered, like $100 less than we should have, which we needed for food and then finished up the day with a call from my mum telling me that my grandmother has been diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer and she may not make it to christmas. It has been a horrible week.
  21. Hypothetical: Could Panda create a sleigh that's pulled by flying reindeer?
  22. The party has started at the Dark Alley, cookies for everyone!* *While spikes last
  23. Voidus, one of the first to lurk the alleys of dark crept silently into the room, instincts born from years of lurking quieted his footsteps and with barely a whisper he made his way across the room, startling one of the acolytes by snatching a pie from his plate. It had been a brilliant idea this party, the lurkers had all been working hard lately and while they all enjoyed their work it would be good for them all to socialize. Soon after his arrival another trail of acolytes formed in the doorway, these carrying his trademark cookies. One could never have too many cookies, especially at this party. "More refreshments have arrived!" Voidus called to the room, sweeping a bow to Queen Elsa as he did so.
  24. Nor I, he doesn't come to Australia enough.
  25. I was just flicking through Mitosis and found that Obliteration can teleport. Oregons teleporters are safe... for now
