Laurelai arched an eyebrow towards Lita, turning back to face her now that the meeting was over. The joke had been a little morbid, even as jokes in the DA went. But she gave a small smile nonetheless. Tell you what, why don't we all just stay alive and then have drinks together? She countered. Her gaze was pulled to a source of Movement as Voidus turned away from the image he'd been facing, letting it dissipate before him. He spoke briefly to the two who were with him before directing his attention towards Laurelai, Lita and the others. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "Thanks for that." Voidus said, giving the Stranger a small smile. "Good to see him flinch. I suppose we can leave that problem for another day, having you back certainly simplifies things quite a bit." He rubbed at one temple for a moment, but then shook his head to clear it. It was a problem for another time, for now they could cooperate to a degree, they could avoid killing forces that were aiding them in any case. He turned his gaze over towards the new Denizens that he'd been speaking to earlier, the ones who had already infiltrated PlasmaCore once, though not particularly deeply. Still that didn't seem to matter given that they had an experienced Forger with them. But do we throw them right back into things? The level of danger here is going to be a little different. He walked towards them, giving them all another appraising glance as he placed his hands behind his back. His eyes paused briefly on Whisper, flickering to the top of her head with a slight frown, but then passed on to the others. "Well there you have it." He said quietly, not letting his voice carry this time. "It seems that plans are going to begin soon. Given your demonstrations so far it seems that your specialties best align with Mac's department. Check in with him for any guidance." He paused, seeming to be on the verge of saying something but he simply pressed his lips together again, gave them a small nod and turned back to speak with the Stranger and Mac further. He paused as he arrived, leaning in close to Mac and spoke in an almost silent whisper. "Do not let anything happen to them." He said, eyes locking with Macs as he spoke. Then he leaned back and began discussing their plans.

It's some seriously weird stuff. Somehow it's adding additional HTML divs over the top of your post that extend the page boundaries. It's weird. Not unless you want to be the best in the world at it I'll put it one level lower than that, so really skilled but not like multi-verse famous level thief.
-
I have no idea how you keep getting that weird formatting, but fixed it again. Yeah that should be about right. Again sorry that I'm having to guess things here but if it turns out you had points to spare we can update it later. Approved. Ah, sorry I missed that one! And no I don't hate it at all, I was really sorry that had to happen to you but that was a private meeting being called by some pseudo-deities Nothing personal though, hopefully we can think of something interesting for that character. Looks okay, again I won't do exact point scoring but this should come out under 100. Did you want to put any skills to him? (Intelligence, fighting ability, scholarship, etc.)
-
Not explicitly, no. Will be case by case for now but this one looks okay. Should be fine to use, approved. Really sorry to everyone but due to time constraints I'm just going to be giving general feedback for now instead of a full points breakdown. Cool, I'll add it in a bit. That's still going to be OP but you're using the OP character sheet so I assume you know that? I'll reset the poll here. Should be fine, I think it's technically over the points total but compounding for things like tin isn't as useful so shouldn't be as high as it is. Approved. If you want to rank things and post them here it can make it a lot easier for us but yeah mods have final say, I would be flexible on this but you need to be able to edit the post where the profiles are shown which only mods can do. This one comes out a little over, should be ~190 points without counting the weaknesses I think and I don't think that's quite 40 points worth of weaknesses. I think this would work better as a special NPC, I could approve it for the current plotline but given current events it's pretty likely that they'd die and if they didn't I think it would probably still be better if they didn't stick around beyond the conclusion of the current plot.

Sorry I've been doing like 50 things over the last day, lots to keep track of right now so I don't remember. If I said I did then I probably did, if I didn't then can you link the post so I can find it?

TUBA - The Underground Bakers' Association
Voidus replied to Stormblessed Dolphin's topic in The Alleyverse
Sudiov stood watching as KanMien and the Stranger spoke, he continued to wear the same polite smile that never touched his eyes as he listened, giving no other indication of what he was thinking. And then the Strangers shadows and spirits all vanished, Sudiov leaned forward, tensed and ready to act if needed. Right up until he stared in the Strangers solitary eye, he stared into that endless pit of secrets and pain and a flicker of fear crossed his face. Then the Stranger leaned back and it was gone, his eye was just an eye. Sudiov wiped the expression from his face as soon as he noticed but spared the Stranger another glance. That does not bode well. "I suppose that is the best that could be expected." Sudiov replied calmly. He sent a questioning look towards Deteca. Will that suffice? I'm not sure that I'd trust them to do anything more. "Perhaps we should keep each other informed of our locations though." Sudiov added. Voidus gave him a withering stare in return before replying. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Voidus watched as Sudiov flinched back slightly from the Stranger. It wasn't much, barely noticeable in truth, but still it felt good to see a little fear enter that smug face. Perhaps the Stranger was right, he could settle for this for the time being and leave TUBA to their own devices. If they ended up helping then it would mean less expenditure of effort for the DA, if they didn't end up helping then he could still just wait until this was settled before dealing with them. "Perhaps we should keep each other informed of our locations though." Sudiov said, returning to his usual irritating smile. Voidus stared back at him, idly wondering how much effort it would take to try and Voidmake him from here. "I'll know." He said curtly before turning towards Deteca. "There you have it then, we'll try to avoid leveling the city and we won't kill any of your forces if we see them. If you want to work with anyone here then I won't stop you. Our Denizens are free to do as they wish." With that he waved a hand and unceremoniously dismissed the Lightweaving, allowing both sets of images to collapse into Stormlight and dissipate. -
Whisper nodded but kept her eyes facing forwards, the spike suddenly spun around one finger, practically jumping around her hand with eagerness. Yes. Can make people see the wrong things. She signed back. She seemed to be steadily gaining energy, now bouncing on the balls of her feet in constant bursts of motion. People won't remember. She seemed to forget herself for a moment, looking directly back towards the others. As she did her eyes seemed to fuzz for a moment, their previous brown changing to a bright piercing green, and then she turned back towards the front. People won't remember. She signed again for emphasis. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Laurelai's mind continued to spin as she listened to the others speaking, tiny fragments of memory still crept through her consciousness, memories that hadn't actually happened. They'd fade soon enough but sometimes a hasty Stamp was worse than a functional one in that way, the strangeness and sense of oddity about the memory kept them in the fore of her mind. She squeezed her eyes shut for an instant, just needed a quick reset and she should be okay. Her eyes opened, showing the scene of the meeting still taking place, others standing nearby. And no more memories for now. Finally. She traced the conversation back a little way, mind finally catching up to the inputs that it had received. Out of the corner of her eyes she saw the young girl, whisper look towards them and change her eyes. Useful. She signed to them. I can only change so much, probably enough for me not to be noticed but not enough for anyone else. Forging other people was difficult, Forging other people in a way that would change their appearance and was believable enough to stick was almost impossible. The most she could usually manage was changing something in the last minute or two, and then only if she was watching them closely. So we have Lita to watch, Whisper to hide us, I can get some more possibilities and provide help if needed, a Kandra and an Assumer who can copy them to help us blend in more easily? It seemed like a useful group, a perfect skill set for infiltration really. But still, something on a scale large enough that the entire DA needed to act meant this was unlikely to be a simple infiltration mission. They'd need to be flexible, adapt to whatever changed. Hopefully they could survive. Do you think there's still time to get a drink first? She asked Lita wryly.

Whisper's eyes wandered back and forth between Lita and Laurelai, still maintaining her tiny smile as she did so. She gave a second small nod of encouragement as Lita finished her message, Whisper's eyes slid back up to connect with Lita's as she twirled her spike once again. Whisper. She began, this time a little faster than before. Watch things. Sometimes make other people watch things, wrong things. She gave a third resolute nod, seeming to be satisfied with her own introduction. Helping other people who watch things now. Tineye means you watch things? Her eyes shifted to Laurelai who seemed to have recovered from her former soul Forging, the wounds were gone as though they were never there and she held her head up confidently again, though with the occasional glance cast towards the meeting taking place not far away. Laurelai seemed to have trouble deciding whether she should maintain an upright posture and look down at Whisper or stoop her head so that they were at a closer eye level. Eventually she settled on looking somewhere else entirely, though she spun her own pen in reply still. Laurelai. As you may have seen I'm a Forger, if a little different from an average one. Whisper nodded again, copying Laurelai she began staring towards the meeting and seemed to be listening intently as she spun her spike. Forger watches sometimes. Can use help watching? The subtle twist of the spike at the end marked the sentence as a question, though she gave no further indication of what exactly she meant.

Don't listen to them, cookies are amazing and anyone who tells you otherwise must have ulterior motives. Take it from a fellow Critter, cookies are awesome.

Whisper slipped deftly through the crowd, her small body squeezing in between the Denizens who had grouped together around Voidus, Mac and the Stranger. She noticed a few of them began to Alleytravel out, the initial announcement had been made now all that remained was to await further information. But Whisper remained, she'd been in the middle of something before being called but this was more important for now, other plans could be briefly put on hold. And she might be able to turn this to her advantage as well. She slipped out near the front, approaching the two women who were standing uncertainly nearby as Voidus spoke to a Stormlight illusion. She gave them a small, shy smile as she approached, tilting her head back in order to continue to look them in the eyes from her lower vantage point. She stood there silently for a moment before brushing back a strand of unkempt black hair that dangled across her face and pulling a spike from somewhere, beginning to spin it from finger to finger in Alleycant. The movements were a little slower than those that Laurelai used, a little more exuberant in places and a little clumsy in others. It was strangely accented but the meaning was still clear. Heading out? I can come? Help you. She gave a small resolute nod as she finished then looked up questioningly, glancing at both women in turns. @ZincAboutIt

Game of Thrones (Spoilers for the latest episodes)
Voidus replied to Wander89's topic in Entertainment Discussion
Honestly I don't even want the books to be finished now. If the ending is completely different and actually good then it'll still feel hollow and I'll be endlessly wondering why GRRM didn't give the writers better direction, and if it's the same then I don't want to have to go through this again. This season has completely destroyed my enjoyment of the entire series, I don't know if I'll be able to rewatch or reread it again without it feeling bitter due to what I know happens. -

TUBA - The Underground Bakers' Association
Voidus replied to Stormblessed Dolphin's topic in The Alleyverse
Sudiov stared back impassively, first at Voidus, and then at the Stranger as each of them rose to challenge TUBA. He'd known that the chances of this going well had been slim to start with, but now it seemed less likely than ever that they would be able to negotiate an alliance. But more importantly than that... Sudiov's eyes narrowed slightly as he watched the Stranger, Sudiov hadn't existed for a very long time but the power that he held had certain memories of its own, impressions of history. This was definitely someone who had left an impression. "I suppose a 'welcome back' is in order?" Sudiov offered with a flat stare. "Though I think perhaps we were all better off when you were secluded away in your research. But since you've returned and since empathy and altruism are clearly concepts that lie beyond the grasp of what you can reason then let me attempt to explain this in a way that you'll understand." Sudiov smiled politely and gave a small bow, on the surface the gesture seemed genuine and helpful, but the deadpan stare he was still giving to the figures of the DA showed his true feelings about this. "If you're running an experiment and you find an anomalous result, something unexpected that is causing a different result than desired, do you simply destroy the whole experiment? Or do you conduct further testing to determine the root cause? Forgive me my rudeness but I would have thought that a man of science such as yourself would understand the need for precision rather than simply rampaging through the streets." "Mishaps such as yourself have no standing to talk about precision." Voidus replied sharply, his gaze not showing any pretense of polite behaviour or civility. "We'll do what needs to be done without your help, if you're all so concerned with collateral damage then perhaps you should devote your efforts to saving those who aren't involved. Keep out of our way and we won't need to deal with you. Yet." Voidus' gaze shifted meaningfully to Sudiov on that last note. His eyes containing the promise of unsettled business and a confidence that it would not continue unsettled for much longer. Sudiov glanced towards Deteca, giving her a small apologetic shrug. He didn't wish to sabotage this meeting if it was truly the best solution, but the DA had not exactly given him confidence that any alliance would function well, even if they could agree. -
Pretty easily if you wanted to, but does seem like they're going for a lower-power character so no shame in keeping it that way if you want to. I have a character whose point total comes out in the negatives I think.
-
Easily comes out under the point total, I won't give a specific breakdown unless you really want one but they're definitely approved.
