  1. If you're asking for the purposes of RP then the answer would be that people probably shouldnn't have Lerasium spikes given its rarity. If this is a more general question then the only answer I could give is what's on the Hemalurgic table, it steals all abilities. Which is not necessarily the same as any ability. Probably want to head to the Mistborn subforums if you want to theorize about this further.
  2. Voidus leaned back in his chair, allowing the other members of the DA a chance to speak for themselves rather than speaking for them. He tried to remain impassive as they spoke but inwardly he was smiling. It served him well to remember that the problems he faced were not his to bear alone. The Stranger was as eager as he was to just deal with this problem without needing to appease the bleeding hearts, Mac focused the efforts on prioritization of the root cause. Even Lita, by all accounts incredibly new to the DA, had pointed out the importance of misdirection. Though apparently her point was not well taken as issues continued to be discussed aloud. He sent a somewhat sympathetic glance her way and focused inwardly for a moment. It was a little harder than it had been back in the Alleys, some reflexive interference from Sudiov no doubt. But in short order he spread another blanket of Voidmaking over the building, the lighting universally dimmed a fraction as it settled, but it was barely noticeable. That should take care of any Spren. Not much point allowing them to continue listening in if we've lost the chance to deliberately mislead them. Though it's possible that TUBA's precautions may have been enough to secure the area even without assistance I suppose. He spared a contemplative glance towards the various TUBA members present, eyes lingering a little on the one who claimed to have some form of foresight. Was it true foresight? Prediction? Or simply guesswork? Puzzle for another day. Maybe he'll die during the fighting and we can recover the body. His eyes drifted back to the corner where Laurelai sat, just a little way behind Lita. She was watching the room carefully, gauging reactions, studying. His cheeks spasmed again as he fought to keep himself from smiling, proud of where she'd ended up but disappointed that he couldn't have been more of a part of it until now. Then he noticed the dilation of her pupils, the paleness of her skin. She was afraid of something? The burgeoning smile twisted into a frown as he examined the rest of the room, trying to find the source of it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Laurelai had managed to ease her breathing, glad that tensions in the air seemed to have calmed as much as could be expected. She didn't like her chances of survival if a fight broke out in the middle of this meeting, not if she was already in some form of trouble. She leaned back a little, trying to avoid speaking up and drawing any more attention to herself. Lita had already addressed the concern she'd had about this meeting, no need to risk anything to say the same thing again. A cold shiver went down her spine as she was glancing around, her eyes snapped back to the most likely origin of any threat and sure enough she saw Voidus with a deep frown on his face, turning away from her. Oh rusts, what did I do now? She tilted her head down, trying not to say or do anything that might make things worse, she quietly tried to maintain her breathing in spite of feeling like a blade was brushing against her neck, threatening imminent danger.
  3. Voidus' eyebrow dropped and he stared impassively at Lusk for several heartbeats. His expression didn't alter in the slightest, but he seemed to be wavering between two options, teetering until finally he quirked a small smile. "You know I think I might like you." He said as the oppressive air around him diminished once more. "But to set a few things straight: I've never claimed to be all powerful, and the reason I was as you say 'trapped within a cage for 16 years' was because breaking out of that cage would have let out everything within it, not merely myself." But I missed 16 years of her life due to that incident. Perhaps I should have just broken it immediately after all, let those guilds that wanted to liberate the city try to take a shot at protecting it. Then again there was no way to know at the time. And it might have simply placed her in further danger if I didn't know. For a fraction of an instant his gaze flickered to Laurelai before returning to Lusk. "This 'Security concern' would also already be dealt with had we not agreed to allow others to make the attempt first." He continued, gesturing towards those present from TUBA. "But if the rest of the city is no longer a concern then I'd be happy to take a more active approach in cleaning up." His smile widened just a little further before he directed a questioning glance towards those present from TUBA. It would be far easier, faster than leaving it to them and less tedious than dealing with it ourselves. Perhaps start with something small scale, project Phoenix was kept somewhere near the city, that would have been a nice start. Something of a nice spectacle for the city as well.
  4. “If we could keep our destructive tendencies aside for a second,” The Ghostblood said, looking Voidus' way. “It would really be appreciated.” Voidus arched an eyebrow in reply, momentarily distracted from his previous thoughts. He could count on one hand the number of times anyone outside of the department heads had spoken to him like that in recent decades. His admiration at the Ghostbloods courage was almost enough to quell his irritation. Almost. "If I had destructive tendencies then your guild would have been destroyed when it attempted to invade the city two decades ago." Voidus replied. "Tell me. Were you a part of that ill-conceived plan?" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Laurelai was still breathing rapidly, her skin still felt cold like she'd just been doused in icy water. But at least she wasn't being stared at anymore, the immediate promise of danger had faded, though she was sure that the discussion was not over for good. She'd likely be called away from all the other guilds at some point to answer for whatever she'd done wrong. There would be no point in running, they'd be able to Alleytravel far faster and more efficiently than she could. Then the only solution was to try to pile up some achievements to offset whatever problems she'd caused and hope she could balance things out. She felt the twitch of an arriving message as she tried to think her way out of the dilemma, the familiar process of translating it helped give her something to focus on. What was that about? Are you alright? Lita sent. Laurelai considered lying, or pretending that she was fine. But Lita was a tineye, and Laurelai's heartbeat was probably almost audible without Allomantic assistance. It was also possible that Lita might be able to provide another perspective or some additional insight. I have no idea. She signed back. He seemed fine the last time we spoke. They even told us to stay safe during that last message. She didn't know which of them had sent it, it may even have come from someone else in the DoCI. But surely they would have said if she'd done something wrong right? But Voidus was the only one who'd looked like that, the others all seemed composed enough. Could it have been a secret? Or could this be what the message had been referring to? Had Mac known she'd done something to upset Voidus and tried to warn her? Possible but it didn't seem likely. He could have said something a little less cryptic if that were the case. She shook her head for a moment and looked back to the Ghostblood leader, trying to catch what he'd been talking about. Not listening to a critically important mission briefing seemed like a sure way to worsen her situation. “If we could keep our destructive tendencies aside for a second,” The Ghostblood leader said, looking towards one corner of the room. “It would really be appreciated.” Laurelai briefly winced, already aware of what lay in the path of the Ghostbloods gaze and who he must be talking about. She gave the Ghostblood an astonished glance, arching one eyebrow in surprise. He's got to be a lot stronger, braver or stupider than he looks. I'm just not sure which one, or which one would be the worst for the rest of us.
  5. Voidus was lost in idle thought as he continued scanning the room, trying not to pause for too long he let his eyes settle on others as well, though even then he used his periphery vision to try to see her. Of course she might be a little shocked if everyone else suddenly vanishes. And do I tell her? If I didn't then she wouldn't know what was happening, but if I did then she might not believe it. He noticed a slight temporal shift and immediately became alert, his eyes rapidly scanned the room, checked that she was safe, and then continued to scan, looking for the source. "Voidus, don't. You will damage her if you try anything." Mac's voice called out in the accelerated time, speaking low and fast. Hmm? There was a brief moment of confusion as he wondered what Mac was talking about. Had he noticed someone from HR again? And then Voidus saw the gathering darkness surrounding his own figure. Ah. Right. Idle thoughts. He quickly dismissed the darkness, allowing light to flow through the area normally once more. He said nothing in reply to Mac, simply waiting for time to resume its normal passage. Though he did berate himself mentally. Rookie mistake, this is exactly what you were trying to teach him about keeping control over your thoughts and now you've lost control twice in one day. He turned his gaze back to the Ghostblood who seemed to be wrapping up his speech and tried to look interested. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Laurelai stood, pinned to the spot and frozen with fear. She watched as the room seemed to darken around them, almost imperceptibly to start with but gradually and menacingly increasing. She watched as Voidus' eyes seemed to flicker past her and regard the rest of the room as well but somehow she still felt that he was keeping an eye on her. Trying to make sure she didn't escape? Letting her know he was watching? Her breathing quickened under the attention and a knot of panic began to form in her chest as she tried to think of what she could possibly have done wrong. Had they taken too long? Was it because they weren't disguised? And then suddenly the room became light again, as though all that darkness had simply been a trick of the mind. And as her eyes darted up to watch Voidus again she saw that he seemed to simply be watching the presentation. What the rusts was that all about?
  6. Laurelai watched with increasing concern as a number of figures stepped into the room, someone from the Ghostbloods which caused her to immediately begin planning how best to collapse the roof without hitting herself, followed by the head of TUBA, and finally four figures from the DA, one of which she didn't recognize but could make a guess given the company she kept. They began seating themselves around the room as the Ghostblood gave a presentation about what they'd found at Plasmacore, but Laurelai kept her eyes fixed to the group from the DA. She was curious why they were there and concerned that it might be something that she'd done, terrified once again that she may have brougt some horrible harm upon herself. Voidus seemed to briefly catch her gaze for a moment as he scanned the room, and the corner of his mouth twitched ever so slightly into what seemed to be a grimace before immediately settling again. That definitely wasn't good, was he snarling at her? Or disappointed? Or just eager for bloodshed? She didn't know him as well as she did Mac but he didn't seem the type to relish in violence for violence's sake, but then why did his expression seem to contort like that? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Voidus followed the others into the room, his eyes were distant as he tried to keep a firm hold over himself. His heart was still beating erratically due to the close encounter with HR, and as he stepped into the building it began to speed up again. He calmly took a seat and cast his gaze over the room, ignoring the Ghostblood as he began a presentation. It didn't take long before he saw her, he tried to keep it brief, pausing only briefly to give her a quick look over, but as he did so he could feel the instinctive urge to smile pulling at his lips. He struggled to force his face to stillness but was sure she must have seen him grinning widely at her. Keep it under control. We can't have anyone else getting suspicious and snooping around. Although come to think of it, if there are no other survivors then it wouldn't matter if they saw would it? There are a lot of dangerous creatures in the city at the moment, if one small bar happened to vanish in the middle of all this would anyone pay too much attention? And it would let me have a minute to ourselves. The light around his hand began to flicker and dim as he drew closer to the Void, expression somewhat contemplative as he continued to scan the room.
  7. For the Epic, should come out relatively low assuming reasonable limitations. Should come out to around 50 points for both of them. I will note however that the only weakness listed is the Epic weakness, in the interests of having good, balanced characters we usually ask people to include something more similar to a character flaw as well. Cam will come out to a few tens or hundreds of thousands probably.
  8. Something dangerous out there, and close, too. I'm surprised my whole rusting shoe isn't on fire. Laurelai's smile faltered as she received the message, but she managed to replace it quickly enough. Smiling politely over the rim of her glass she cast her gaze to the door, trying to catch any hint of what danger Lita might be sensing. Had TUBA decided to ambush them here? Or was it something from Plasmacore? Be ready to run. She signed back. Though she suspected they needed no warning for that. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Voidus' expression calmed as he saw someone approaching them, he recognized her from the meeting earlier. The one who'd been with Sudiov. His expression darkened for a moment as she had a small exchange with a still-shaken Mac but he managed to replace it soon enough. "Good morning." He said briefly in greeting. "As mentioned, we're here somewhat incidentally to speak with some of ours after the meeting is done. But as we're here we may sit in as well." They may as well keep TUBA up to date while they were here, if things ended up poorly at the Plasmacore building then they'd probably want to evacuate it or some such.
  9. I take it as Mac warning everyone that HR is coming.
  10. "They were just there one day." Voidus replied with a resigned sigh, though his eyes did seem to shift subtly at the mention of the topic. There was a small chance that he'd accidentally approved the HR department back in the departmental rush when the DA had still been new. Department creation requests were flying all around the place, plenty of overlapping departments were inadvertently created and then they fought over which department was responsible for what. It'd been a tiresome process and at one point he'd been approving requests without reading them. He'd lived in fear since that day that he'd accidentally approved HR. "So this is where the field agents are?" He asked, shifting topics suddenly. "Meeting with TUBA?" Even as he asked he turned his head towards the nearby building, confirming what Mac had already told him. They were out of the barrier now, he'd have to be a little more circumspect about the matter in the event that there were eavesdroppers about. And he'd have to ensure that he didn't show any open favouritism or others might grow suspicious as Mac had. "They've done good work recently." He said offhandedly. "Perhaps a promotion is in order." Or a department head? No that might be too soon. But a pay rise is well deserved surely? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Not giving away much are you. Laurelai thought, still smiling as she regarded the man from TUBA. Well she had something to work with at least, he'd been nearby when she'd collapsed that building onto the creature that was attacking them. If he'd simply been standing somewhere a little differently then he could have been caught up in it. But it might be a stretch, if he could sense danger in some way then that would have been a very unrealistic history, it wouldn't last long enough for the death to be permanent. She received a message from Lita, confirming that he seemed to be holding something back. Having a tineye around was certainly going to be useful, confirming someone's personality without needing to stamp them would certainly be helpful. Laurelai put the problem to one side for now, choosing to simply watch him and gather what information she could without agenda. Sometimes watching without bias could reveal more information than watching for something specific.
  11. "Mmm." Laurelai hummed with agreement. "Things have been a little chaotic out there. Have you seen anything particularly interesting? Or were you busy with the evacuation? May as well swap information while we wait." The information might be useful, but more importantly she needed to know where he'd been, what sort of situations he'd been exposed to. Any danger that his choices might have put him in. He didn't seem to be a particularly strong combative force himself, otherwise he wouldn't have suggested running away when that creature had attacked. But it was always better to be safe. She gave him a mildly interested smile as she took a sip from her cup. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Voidus arrived in an Alley a short distance away, brushing some ash from one shoulder. He'd taken a more dangerous route than usual, through a couple of the burning Alleys. Hopefully any HR tails would either be dead or too distracted cataloguing the various OH&S risks that the burning Alleys presented to pursue. Should be safe now. He let out a long, relieved breath, taking a brief moment to relax as he waited for the others to arrive. Hopefully none of them got dragged into another seminar about safe handling of spikes.
  12. Voidus' eyes widened with realization and a touch of what may have been fear. There were very few things that would prompt Voidus to take action on something, the imminent destruction of the world might do it if he was feeling motivated. But one thing always worked, there was one situation that would never fail to cause him to expend any of his not inconsiderable resources in order to avoid. A meeting with HR. "Yep. Chairs." Voidus began to say, mind whirling to try to find a way out. "You know, while you're hear, I heard something about a large blood spill-" He cut himself off mid excuse, remembering that he'd already used that one. "Sorry, what I meant to say was that I think there's a lab somewhere in Alley 249 that hasn't yet been set up to be ergonomically for its researchers. Could you look into that? It would be a terrible shame if someone had a repetitive strain injury due to an incorrectly set up workstation." His speech continued to speed up as he spoke, eyes constantly wandering and looking for a chance to escape. "Thanks for that, got to go." He quickly muttered as he purposefully strode past, Alleytravelling after Mac. The Guardian paused in its circuit, the only break in its regular rhythmic steps since they'd all entered. There was a faint whine of confusion as it regarded the happenings below it, but then it began to tread out its careful loop around once more. This time moving away from Cam from HR.
  13. Moved to the Mistborn Forums as this was not related to SA.
  14. We're here in an official capacity this time. Laurelai agreed. Truth would seem appropriate. We're not disguised after all, too easy for them to look into our identities anyway. It was one of the reasons she regretted travelling so widely before she joined the DA, she'd left a long trail for people to follow if they were curious about her. And her joining the DA hadn't exactly been clandestine either, if you knew the right people to ask then you could probably find out about it. So she wore that information like a disguise in itself, created a persona around it and wore it out just as she did with any other disguise. Laurelai of the Dark Alleys was useful sometimes, sometimes to intimidate or discourage, sometimes when she simply didn't want to deal with people. But it did bring up the question, if her real self was simply a disguise then who was she underneath? She started, realising she'd lost herself in thought again, and mentally chastised herself for ignoring her surroundings. She needed preparation just in case things went south, she couldn't waste time in idle musings. "So." She said aloud, addressing the man from TUBA. "How has your night been? Busy?" --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Voidus smiled as Aylitha joined them, he hadn't expected anyone else to arrive so soon. As Mac had noted, the various department heads didn't tend to be too active outside of their own experiments and departments. Many, like the Stranger had been, were thought lost, or deliberately secluded from the world, somewhere deep within the ever changing maze of Alleys. It wasn't far from the truth in some cases, spending long lengths of time in an Alley without connecting it with any others tended to disconnect it somewhat, leave it inside a giant tangle of other lost Alleys. But he'd had to untangle one such knot earlier when he called a meeting at Alley 0, it may have caused other Alleys to be somewhat more connected as well. This might not be the last lost department head they saw today. "Good to see you again." He said to Aylitha. "It's been a while I believe." He frowned for a moment as he thought. How long had it been? Voidus shared Aylitha's problems with keeping track of time, it was such an elusive construct, malleable but also somewhat unyielding. And when you lived long enough it was hard to share the same perspective of it as others tended to have. But then again, none of those present were exactly typical by normal standards. He caught himself a moment later, realizing he'd been drifting in thought again. "Well regardless, it would be good for all of us to get out again." He said with a small smile. "Perhaps we could have a meeting after the business at hand is dealt with? Foster a little inter-departmental collaboration?"
  15. Voidus shared a smile with the others as they thought the offer over. It seemed he wasn't the only one feeling a little stifled lately, granted the restrictions on his freedom were self-imposed but that didn't make them chafe any less. Even if he understood the reason why he needed to hold back, that didn't lessen the frustration of seeing the world change and forcing himself not to guide it. "Perhaps we should inform the other department heads as well." Voidus said. "Just in case anyone wants to join us, we should offer everyone the chance after all." Most of them would likely be immersed in research or coordinating their own department, but some might similarly appreciate a chance to get out, if only for a bit. "But I think we'll have to hold off on anything too apocalyptic for the time being my friend." Voidus continued, looking towards the Stranger. "Perhaps keep them on standby, we can see if they might be needed once we arrive and can assess things. As for the field agents..." Voidus paused, thinking the matter over for a few moments before continuing. "Perhaps we should bring them along, they've already been inside the building before after all. They would be able to spot differences faster and may be able to provide some context for what we find there." Perfectly rational, definitely no ulterior motives for this. He thought to himself, trying to justify the decision. Just business. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Laurelai entered into the building as well, standing near to Lita and KanMien. "Thanks." She said, accepting the cookie that Lita offered. Perhaps a taste of home would help her keep calm. She chewed on the cookie, savoring the familiar texture and taste. It helped a little at least, allowing her to remain as relaxed as could be expected given that they were in the middle of what was effectively an active warzone. She closed her eyes as she ate, taking a moment to just quietly enjoy the cookie, a nice respite from the chaos. But eventually the cookie was finished and her eyes slowly opened once more. Almost without thinking a pen slipped into her hand and she began idly twirling it around, letting the Alleys know where they had ended up. As she sent the message she looked around the room curiously, observing their surroundings and habitually trying to discern their history.
  16. Voidus blinked back in a moment of surprise as Mac asked a series of rapid-fire questions one after the other. "Well." Voidus began, dealing with the last question first. "As long as she doesn't come into any danger then you won't have to find out, will you?" He paused, giving Mac another grim look for a few moments. He found a little enjoyment as he saw Mac looking back at him with no small amount of concern until Voidus finally broke and gave a small smile. "You know I'm not one for irrationality." He said finally. "Her ultimate safety is my responsibility, not yours. Be at ease. So long as you have no hand it it I wouldn't hold you responsible." He gave Mac a smile to let him know that he'd been joking, but there was still a glimmer of that bitter cold in his eyes that promised the fate that would befall anyone who did have a hand in putting her in danger. "As to whether or not we say anything... I still haven't really come to a conclusion yet." Voidus nervously ran a hand through his hair as his expression tensed. It was a matter he'd been considering at some length now, ever since he'd seen her. Did he reveal the information so he could protect her? Or would that very act cause her to become a target? She was already working with the DA, which made him proud in a way, but it was also not exactly the safest profession in the world. His mind flitted over the possibilities again but there still weren't any that stood out. "Regardless." He said, shaking his head a little to clear it. "That's a discussion for another time. Perhaps when this is resolved we can grab an Alley somewhere and I'll explain it all." He cleared his throat before proceeding back to the other topic that Mac had raised. "So to business, if the building seems empty then perhaps this is the time for something a little less subtle. I did tell those from TUBA that we'd hold off on the abominations for a bit, and destroying the entire city would be somewhat sub optimal. So a small group then, but one capable of dealing with whatever they might find." A grin stretched his lips as he regarded the two who were with him. Who better to infiltrate than the three of them? If there were any lingering dangers there then they should be able to handle it easily enough, and if there was any information there then they'd be able to gain that information more rapidly if they were there in person than waiting back in the Alleys. "Care to take a stroll?" He asked the two others. @MacThorstenson / @Fatebreaker
  17. Voidus cut off as he saw the barrier waver and another figure began to approach. He rose quickly to his feet, back straightened and prepared to receive whoever it was, though there was only one likely candidate. His thoughts were confirmed a moment later as Mac entered, walking silently past the guardian before approaching them. He quickly got to business, delivering the findings of his department and an update on the situation. There was a subtle pause as he shifted topics, Voidus saw a flicker of something indiscernible in his eyes as he continued to speak. Mac wasn't the head of the department of counter intelligence for nothing, his expression barely shifted a millimetre as he spoke. But Voidus had known him for a long time, long enough to recognize the slight evaluation in his eyes as Mac watched for a reaction. "Anyway" Mac continued without pause. "Any thoughts about how we should proceed? While my men tend to be on the ground the most you two control the muscle of the DA, so I decided to talk to you guys before making any decisions." Well I suppose I haven't exactly been as subtle as possible about it. Voidus thought, reflecting on his recent actions. He gave a soft sigh, letting his eyes close briefly for a moment of respite as the breath came out, then slowly opening them once again. "She caught me a little off guard when I saw her." He said quietly, the shadow of a smile briefly flashing. "Not exactly something I was expecting at that meeting." In hindsight Voidus realized that he may have tipped his hand a little in the time afterwards. He'd told a DA operative to stay safe, that was bound to raise a few eyebrows at the least. And Mac was the best there was at noticing discrepancies like that and piecing the picture together, hiding it would be a vain hope. "Truth be told I wasn't expecting that I'd be able to see my daughter again until after Sudiov was dealt with." Voidus continued smiling as he stepped forwards, closing what little distance remained between them. "Nicely done." He said, congratulating Mac on the discovery and conceding his own defeat. "Oh, and I'm sure this almost goes without saying but just to be sure..." The smile dropped from his face as he leaned in, his tone shifting from idle amusement to bitter cold. "Should your curiosity carry you to her and cause problems, or put her in any danger whatsoever then I will finish what I started the last time I got out from this barrier." A moment later the smile returned as Voidus leaned back and gave Mac a satisfied nod. "So let's hope it doesn't come to that." He finished calmly.
  18. Laurelai watched the street ahead cautiously as they advanced, eyes picking out notable points that would be useful in case something else came running down the street towards them. She gave an offhanded nod of appreciation towards KanMien's information. "Regardless there's likely to be a number of them there." She said softly, voice pitched for Lita's tin-enhanced ears. "Try to keep your tin up in case they try to set anything up." Adding a warning to be ready to run if needed was probably superfluous at this point. Laurelai could handle uninvested combatants by herself but she stood little chance against a Radiant or a similarly powerful Invested combatant if one came charging straight at her. They were not the most combative forces in the DA, though that was likely to work in their favour if TUBA perceived of them as less of a threat. But the best case would be if everything went according to plan and they were able to simply deliver their message, glean what information they could and leave. "Is it far?" She asked a little louder, turning her head towards the man from TUBA. "As I'm sure you can imagine we have something of a busy day ahead of us."
  19. Technically not cosmere themed since it was Reckoners, but yeah we did amass quite the collection. Is where Kobold kept his list I think.
  20. Laurelai's gaze wandered as Lita took point during their conversation, they appeared slightly unfocused, looking not at the actual scenery around her but at some mental imagery as she plotted something out. Occasionally her gaze did focus in on something, appearing to very briefly scan over it before her eyes became distant once more. Contingencies are always important, especially with the city in the state that it's in now. Likely won't be enough time to get a read on anything that's attacking us so something indirect it is. She'd just finished something for the nearby building when she heard the last thing the TUBA member said, that one of the creatures was approaching them. Foresight? Or some form of danger sense at the least, and given the timeframe it was likely that it wasn't Atium. Interesting. She spared the man a curious glance, a little predatory but mostly just curiosity, before turning her attention down the street. She saw it a moment after Lita did, a strange bird-headed creature wielding a metallic frying pan in each hand, flapping its arms awkwardly as it ran towards them. Good thing it chose that side. She mused wryly. Hadn't found anything for the other side yet. She sent out a surge of power, watching as the creature ran next to a two story building, almost on top of them now. But a moment later the second story of the building seemed to sag outward, the bricks tumbling to the ground in a tremendous heap. The creature dodged out of the way of the first few that fell but it couldn't avoid an entire wall. A cloud of dust rose around the area where its body lay, buried beneath rubble. One good side of the seven day war, it did make it plausible for almost any building in the city to have some lingering structural damage and weaknesses. "So which way?" She asked calmly, turning towards the man from TUBA.
  21. I assumed so, but at the same time perception is important. It's something of a staple in most customer service business' that you never attempt to discredit or shame someone for providing negative feedback, even as a joke. It just creates an even worse experience and makes it less likely that people will even bother providing feedback next time. As mentioned that's not how moderation works. When something gets reported we deal with it, we don't message people to change it themselves unless it's a behavioural thing which I seriously hope this is not.
  22. I think I answered this in the PM as well but to reiterate: 1. This is only possible in the Alleyverse since canonically the two aren't related so there is no canonical answer. 2. You'd need to be Nalthian to Return per WoB so this would be a lot easier to do the other way around (A Returned gaining Epic powers) 3. Investiture interferes with other Investiture so being Invested to the degree that many Epics are would make it unlikely that you'd Return. 4. You do keep your Soul when you Return which would imply that there's a decent chance you'd keep any pre-death Investiture that you had. But honestly it could go either way.
