  1. I will unfortunately probably be asleep by then Not sure I haven't done one before.
  2. Then for no reason Voidgaze killed several MEE Epics because Voidus needs more excuses to replace them in his list. A bit over 6 hours away I think.
  3. Archaic strode through Thought Town with a strange mixture of pride and glee, he'd never been particularly powerful for an Epic and now for the first time he understood how those with truly strong powers must feel, the complete helplessness they induced in lesser beings was intoxicating. He'd quickly formed a group with Bishop and Gladio, the combination of his ability to render guns and other modern technology useless, Bishops long range energy blasts and Gladio's swordsmanship were wreaking havoc among the soldiers of Though Town. They pursued a group of soldiers into a nearby building, the soldiers had locked the door behind them but Gladio had quickly transmuted the door into a pile of salt to allow them entry. A few shots rang out from the fleeing soldiers before Archaic nullified all technology in the solddiers vicinity, their guns reduced to little more than scrap metal the soldiers began to flee before being struck down by crimson blasts fired from Bishop, though his blasts weren't powerful enough to kill on their own they stalled the soldiers long enough for Gladio to dispatch them with one of his swords. "Well boys" Archaic said to his companions "Shall we find some more of these scum to show how strong we 'lesser' Epics really are?" A round of malicious grins was the only reply as the trio wandered further into the building. They were eventually stopped when confronted by a figure dressed in white blocking their path. An instant feeling of rage swept through Archaic, how could a mere civilian, not even a soldier dare to impede such beings as they? Bishop fired a barrage of energy bolts towards the figure, determined to show her her place. A swirl of white surged from the figure, blocking the blasts before a tendril struck out towards bishop who dropped immediately, blood gushing from a wound that had opened in his neck. Who is this? She's not one of the Epics who was with us. I thought all of the ThoughtTown Epics left! Archaic thought in a panic, he reduced the technology around the figure but the swirling white cloth was undaunted. Gladio threw a sword towards the figure as he turned to run back out through the door, it wasn't clear whether the sword was meant as a distraction or to try and actually hurt the Epic but it didn't matter, it was quickly grabbed by a piece of the cloth and then hurled after the fleeing Gladio, impaling him just as he reached the door. Archaic held up a pistol in one trembling hand before a flash of white removed the gun and several fingers. He fell to the floor, blood pouring from his hand he tried to tie his shirt around the wounds. He looked up to see the figure regard him pitifully before heading towards some distant gunshots. So that's what a High Epic can really do? Archaic thought, mind becoming hazy as he continued to bleed. He slumped against a wall for support, cradling his hand. Refill was insane to think we could beat them, she just annihilated three of us in seconds, we might as well have been Vanillas for all that she cared about our powers. Archaic closed his eyes grimacing in pain. She didn't even bother finishing me off.

    Spearheads

Given the importance of Intent in Hemalurgy I doubt either of the two actually became Hemalurgic spikes even if the spear used was of one of the 16 metals.
  5. IIRC there's actually a few conflicting WoBs on what exactly would happen if you burned a spike.
  6. Added to the master list, thanks everyone for helping out.
  7. With speech bubbles with quotes that it's rather unlikely the Epic in question ever actually said.
  8. All in favour of starting 'From the files of Doctor Funtimes'?
  9. So did I for a while But for a 'master list' the post has been rather short considering how many players we have. I may need to consider making a second post where all the characters are described by Funtimes for comparison and hilarity.
  10. Just a reminder to everyone about the Epic Summary doc so that I can compile shorter descriptions of everyones Epics into a master list for any new players.
  11. The sooner tomorrow comes the sooner this can happen Speaking of, what are everyone's plans for the rest of the night? I think there's a couple more posts for the Thoughttown attack but I'm thinking about starting up the attack on the Dominion soon and then finish up with the MoNA once everyone else has wrapped up any loose ends.
  12. And I think you were about to write Numums jumping several hundred feet into the air, landing in the museum and eating Nighthound right? (I can hope can't I?)
  13. I'm fine with them meeting MV, Scribbler and co. Or alternatively they could meet up with Impact if you wouldn't mind a potential addition to their group.
  14. Spikes aren't particularly invested though so it might not be much of a difference. Kind of, they rip a piece of the targets spiritweb off and staple it onto yours. Depends which bindpoints you hit on him I'd imagine, although given the ease with which Stormlight is gained, used and stolen I don't know that it really forms enough of a spiritual connection with the user to manifest as part of their spiritweb. On Vasher again it would depend on which bindpoints you hit, like choosing which abilities you'd get from a Mistborn and intent has some role to play in Hemalurgy too so we're unsure how much it's affected by that. But given the inherent connection of Breaths to the spirit I imagine that it would quite likely be a spikable trait.
  15. Didn't Kelsier and Vin use Pewter in a powder a few times? From memory I think they used it when running to the rebel caves when they get attacked. It is an interesting point as to how exactly the rate of burn does work though, if surface area is not a factor then what determines which bit of metal is burned at which point in time? Is it sort of like radioactive decay where every particle has a random chance of being used and the average is what determines the rate?
  16. Yeah they're still alive, I thought an Epic with living parents might be interesting to write so hopefully they'll feature more later since I don't have any Vanilla characters.
  17. I made one a while ago but I had the same problem.
  18. A bit of both, I figured even with mirrors, trying to do it onto her back would be pretty difficult.
  19. I'll be working on... something for the next few days, await my return with a hundred or so new Epics
  20. The thing about Kell is that as much as I love him he is a bit of a sociopath, he is completely indifferent towards the wanton slaughter of countless Noblemen and even Skaa who have sided with them. And while his goals may have been just his methods were not and the entire time he was still trying to maintain his position as the centre of all attention, his plan for overthrowing the Final Empire was to turn himself into a figure of worship.
  21. I wasn't trying to imply that lower surface areas burn faster my point was just that either Atium has an insanely high burn speed comparatively and so even with reduced SA still burns faster or more likely IMO surface area has a limited effect on burn speed. Also given that grinding metals into a powder would definitely have been possible throughout the entire series and would have significantly increased surface area I find it hard to believe that no one would have done so and discovered a difference in burn speed.
  22. Given that Allomancers seem to be able to sense their entire reserves upon ingesting it not just the surface area I'd say it wouldn't matter, also Atium is generally ingested as beads and it's still the fastest burning metal we know of I believe. It would be cool and interesting if it was related though, with modern metallurgists trying to discover how to create metals with greater and greater surface areas in an Allomantic arms race.
  23. I'm sure that you didn't mean it that way but people who suffer genuine phobias of such things as the number 13 or public speaking may take offense to having their fears called 'trivial'. Irrational, certainly but the strength of their fears can be just as strong as if not stronger than that of 'normal' or 'Adult' fears.
  24. Are you suggesting that the Iron and Zinc supplements found in supermarkets are a Dark Alley plot of some kind? Because it's definitely not, we don't do any kind of suspicious things like that at all. On a serious note I can definitely see something like this becoming more common as Scadrials medicine advances and pills become more commonly used.
