  1. I don't know if I've seen it for Eclipse specifically, I know I've seen a Twilight one at some point but I'll probably watch through them now that you've mentioned it The only good thing about those books
  2. I like the Twilight ones, I grimaced my way through the last movie just so I could watch the reviews of them
  3. There would still be feruchemists even if it's non-mechanical. In fact it would become more valued since Allomancy would have been made commonly available.
  4. Welcome to the forums! Which of Brandons books have you read so far? And would you like a welcome to the forum cookie?
  5. Nice find, and welcome to the forums Would you care for a cookie? We're not sure but it takes some effort to get it do something else, personally my ideas are it has something to do with Spiritual connections.
  6. Only just spotted this one but I love honest trailers
  7. They never would have bothered making any hits on Epics, they would have known it was only a matter of time until they all fell before the great Metronome! I have not for some reason but shall endeavor to do so immediately. Side note: I actually have given his power the name of Chrono-perception which sounds way more awesome than it is
  8. I was thinking Neverthere, you're right no one could, which is unfortunately why he probably won't appear in the RP except possibly if we ever do successfully destroy Oregon. He would rise from the ashes of Oregon to spread his awesome powers elsewhere across the world
  9. The Adventurer smiled at Lockvault's suggestion. Tracking mechanics? Awesome, devs sure went all out with the realism on this one. He nodded quickly, reaching out slowly to avoid startling him, he grabbed Lockvaults shoulder and shifted them both back into the sewer before shifting back up through the ground at a slightly different angle, they came out inside the building that Lockvault had mentioned, startling some office workers who tried to run away and remain unnoticed at the same time, resorting to running in a half-crouch and looking utterly ridiculous. "Something is seriously wrong with the AI here." The Adventurer commented as he watched the scurrying NPCs. "But at least all the buildings are open and there's no stupid lockpicking minigame to get into them." Carefully opening a window he looked back out to where they'd left from, the street was still empty. "No one there yet, be careful of the windows, broken glass is always a giveaway." The Adventurer said, years of experience in shooters having prepared him for this encounter. He pulled his rifle out, checked his stock of ammunition and found it running low. Blasted game has no ammo anywhere. He thought, quickly scanning the office and finding it devoid of any ammunition. Probably a crafting mechanic or something. Well he'd just have to make his shots count, try for the headshots. His fast-travel seemed like it would be useful too, he could change positions quickly if he needed and escape if things got too tough.
  10. I might forgive you if I got a 'from the file of David Charleston' for one of my characters sometime soon... Yeah she does the personality duality thing pretty well but I don't know how she'd do for the really creepy side of NT, I'm really struggling to think of people for characters, my minor characters are easier because I haven't fleshed them out very much but any of the bigger characters are hard to think of.
  11. Don't make me put you back on the 'And then they died' list *stern glare*
  12. Any casting agent who makes that decision should be fired... out of a canon.
  13. I usually get a second copy in paperback anyway so I'm not too fussed, otherwise the spine starts breaking up on your 9 or 10th readthrough
  14. You try finding the bind points and blood of a non-corporeal entity that can turn you into a pile of ash
  15. 1- He only needs Atium if he wants to live forever like the Lord Ruler did by compounding his age to stay eternally young. Alloy of Law takes place several hundred years after Mistborn so the only way Marsh could still be alive is by compounding his age which requires Atium. 2- Feruchemy is a system that is derived from both Shards so being partly of Ruin he's able to influence it a bit. He doesn't usually alter writting directly anyway, usually he waits until something is being transcribed so it seems that he mostly just messes with peoples perceptions a bit.
  16. Savantism seems to be most damaging with the physical metals, tin and pewter are explicitly mentioned and I do somewhat agree that the internal metals should be more damaging too. Bendalloy/Cadmium are both external non-physical metals so I don't imagine the effects would be as bad even for Mistings/Mistborn using it, let alone simply those who undergo it's effects. He does indeed, but I do believe he's still technically a Savant, although I think Kelsier very nearly is as well, we know that he's at the upper end of what's possible and managed better control with Iron and Steel than even the Inquisitors.
  17. The bakeries of the Dark Alleys of the 17th Shard are equipped to meet all members dietary needs, so allow me to offer you our finest selection of beef, chicken, turkey and ham sandwiches. Welcome to the 17th Shard.
  18. Welcome to the madness, would you care for a welcome-cookie?
  19. Welcome to the 17th Shard! Would you care for a welcome cookie? The Cosmere is the universe that many of Brandons books take place in, they share some general metaphysics and there are a few characters who can hop from one world in the cosmere to another, a few books even take place on the same world (Emperor's Soul takes place in a different continent on the same world as Elantris) The Cosmere 101 thread here on the forums is a great place to learn a bit more and ask any questions you may have. Any book set on earth is not cosmere so of those you've read the Rithmatist and Legion both aren't in the cosmere universe but of the others if you read carefully enough you might spot some easter eggs. Brandons deliberately tried to avoid making anything be required reading for anything else, he just puts in some small things so that those of us who pay close enough attention/ obsess over everything can notice a few connections. The only one I can think of off the top of my head is to read Warbreaker before Words of Radiance so that you can spot a certain something near the end but I'll avoid spoilers. I hope you have fun here
  20. I like this idea too, and not just because it features Hemalurgic spikes Any chance of getting your pony Joe?
  21. Yes, the random Epics must be allowed to continue! Or Metronomes wrath shall fall upon us all for denying him a place in the RP!
  22. Hmmm... a justification for my legions of Epics continuing to appear? Headcanon accepted!
