Mine is currently the standard Alienware background. Although I have had a few different ones I've generally just used a solid black background. Boring I know but practical.

For some unknown reason both busses and Voidgaze are able to kill Neverthere through her projections. Epic powers are weird ok?
-
Does this mean a bus is about to hit one or both of them? *Hopeful stare*
-
Not particularly, she'd mostly just be glad she got Lucentia to descend to her level. Well she'd be privately glad anyway, expressing that right now seems like a bad idea

The power of righteous awesomeness is stronger than Astral Projection?

Struggling in vain to continue rattling about checkpoints as their clothes are slowly turned into pancakes.

I keep seeing the sunglasses guy in your sig and thinking it's part of the post
-
Yes he can, he even killed someone with them so I'm pretty sure he could have gone on a Rending.
-
That's just a vicious rumour spread about by all my other personalities and the secret FBI spies who follow me around.
-
Or Funtimes shows up, cutting Altermind in half. Then Takes Voidgaze to cut Nighthound, Neverthere and Lucentia in half while they're all nice and gathered together?
-
I am going to likely tank my reputation ranking from third to somewhere around 1,000,000th for this but I actually prefer the prequels in a lot of ways and of them phantom menace is not my least favourite attack of the clones is.

Luckily Neverthere is immune to all of Lucentias powers, even her almighty power of complaining. She can just switch her attention back to her body and pretend to be chastised for a while.
-
Lucy is totally not Nevertheres BFF anymore. She's not inviting her to any of the torture parties she throws with Mary from now on.

That reminds me in a few days according to our timeline Steelheart will seize Chicago, shortly afterwards the capitulation act will be passed. Time to get our Reckoners cell active.
-
Good work then, just make sure if you're using the restroom on Alley 3.i that you plan accordingly, some unfortunate accidents have occured when gravity was suddenly rotated two hours backwards in time.

Yeah someone wanted to do an experiment with n-dimensional hypercubes in hyperbolic space. We think he was trying to create a bigger bar fridge but then it ended up nearly destroying the universe so we had to bind it in place. It's resulted in some... less that standard spatial arrangements around the place.
-
Luckily Metronome was around or there would have been more casualties. He used his tremendous power to... Call the far more useful Epic named Anti-Metoria who showed up to protect the rest of the city from the impact.

She's about to be rescued by a dashing Nighthound but instead a meteor hits the house levelling it, killing both of them and damaging Nighthound beyond what his healing factor can handle?
-
There are regrettably few of those. A flash mob of distraught relatives of her victims perhaps?
-
Gold can heal spiritual damage too, but some Duralumin fueled Chromium might help too.
-
Or hit by a meteorite or nuke or something. Tortured to death by a local Epic. Pretty much anythings better than becoming someone who admires Nighthound.
-
Unfortunately her impending Stockholm syndrome is going to elevate Nighthound pretty quickly to 'Awesomely cool cute guy' I fear. Well we can hope something better happens to her before we reach that point. Like death.
-
She could've used the catchall term 'Slontze' that everyone else uses to describe him. Blurting.
-
Post up, wherin Nevertheres glasses are I think canonized for the first time, she thinks of Nighthound as both a gentleman and a 'bad boy' missing the mark by a few thousand miles since calling someone as patently evil as Nighthound 'bad' is like calling Bruce Banner somewhat irritable. I'm also considering coining the term gigglurting to describe her speech pattern.

"Hey Lucy!" Neverthere giggle-blurted upon seeing the diamond queen once more before taking Nighthounds lead. "Oh of course, I'm plenty interesting, you learn plenty of interesting things when you're never there." She continued, giggling some more at her trademark pun. "Like there's this one woman who has a picture of Corpsemaker that she kisses before she goes to bed every night how weird is that?" A frosty stare halted her forward babbling momentum and reminded her that while she did enjoy taunting High Epics who were powerless to beat her into submission this was Lucentia she was talking to, not some petty local thug or a warlord too busy fighting rival factions to bother looking for one annoying Epic. Lucentia had an entire city at her disposal and it seemed that she might soon take Portland under her dominion too. Her mask slipped for a moment, her normally vacuous gaze turned for a split second into a look of concern before she habitually rearranged it again under cover of adjusting her glasses. "Well enough of that, to business then? This gentleman has mentioned that you might have some use for me and I've always wanted to work for a queen." She gazed coyly at Nighthound once more, stopping just short of batting her eyelashes. Nothing she'd seen or heard from him made him seem even slightly likely to intervene on her behalf if Lucentia decided to try to track her down but she could hope he might at least remind Lucentia of the uses of someone with Nevertheres range. Plus a little flirting with the rebellious bad boy never hurt. Keep them both interested, but wary as well. Remind them that for Epics information could be just as dangerous as destructive powers, in the case of Epics information could be even more dangerous.
