  1. On Tia: Prof had just recovered from the corruption, I imagine that similarly to a Rending there is a bit of memory loss there and he forgot what had happened, and then suddenly remembered again.
  2. The awesome kind of aunt and uncle that are always baking for everyone and offering them cookies. Though most people politely decline for some reason.
  3. Love the theory, though I'm inclined to agree that it was probably created and named by a Shard rather than in rememberance of one. Personal theory: It was created by the Shard who just wants to be left alone, it's not this Shards Intent that makes it want to be alone, it's just lost so much that it created or named a planet in memoriam and then left to go play chess against itself for the next few eternities.
  4. Have you ever considered a career with the Dark Alley?
  5. His actions make sense to him but that doesn't make them good or justifiable actions. Everyone always thinks their actions are justifiable that's not an excuse. As was pointed out Wayne himself is hardly a milestone of sanity so his ability to judge it in other is compromised. Though admittedly I will state that he is actually completely right, Steris is insane, just in an awesome and adorable way that shouldn't prevent anyone from marrying her.
  6. I'd argue that actually compounding is just allomancy with something altering what power you get, I'd be very surprised if compounding didn't have a bronze pulse. And no we haven't seen feruchemy from the cube specifically but it is mechanically used to make the planes lighter.
  7. Hemalurgy still steals physical traits.
  8. Got ya covered. We've only seen the cubes work with external feruchemy so far so it's hard to say what it would do with something internal, which all of feruchemy would fall under. That said we know that they have devices for mechanically using feruchemy, so far the only example is weight I think but still probably enough to speculate on. The inhabitants of aircrafts still have to use their own metalminds to store weight so I don't think it would work on anything other than the cube. Still, feruchemic heaters would be cool. And giving a cube enhanced mental speed would just be hillarious. Use it as an anti-soulcasting measure so when Jasnah tries to persuade it to become fire it logically argues with her until she becomes fire instead
  9. Brandons post on the matter, so to clarify: It wasn't just a theory that Hoid was looking for the well, that was the official canon until now. Hoid definitely wasn't looking for the well, he knew what it was. WoB is also that Hoid originally wanted the bead so that he could become an Allomancer so I doubt his trip to Terris was to give it to someone else (Also if he really wanted TLR dead there are easier ways to go about it)
  10. Have you ever watched a youtube video on 2x speed? It's actually not that difficult. Communication would be pretty simple.
  11. Parallel universes still have to be possible, the fundamental laws of the Reckoners universe don't allow for Adonalsium and Investiture as far as we know.
  12. Potentially more than one alloy per metal. We also know that the alloys of atium have various temporal effects, and IIRC Lerasium alloys have physical or enhancement effects.
  13. Epic inspiration! Nightowl's Bane Primary power: Laughter induction Secondary power: Urinary-gastro alteration MO: Nightowl's Bane is more of an urban legend than a dictator. Word has it that he travels from city to city, tormenting everyone who stays up at night by causing everyone nearby to be overcome with a sudden urge to giggle very loudly or a need to go to the toilet.
  14. They don't. Or rather, they have a soul but they couldn't use it to Awaken even if they became an Awakener.
  15. You know what? That is exactly what I guessed. Also Calamity spoilers:
  16. No she's not particularly, plus like Backtrack she's particularly keen to not meet Nighthound anytime soon. I wonder how Backtrack is going to react to getting to the museum only to find a mad scientist and a sociopathic yandere asking for his blood.
  17. If the entire topic is SH spoilers please keep it in the Secret History subforum.
  18. Except not only would Bioterror Labeouf not die if you stabbed him in the kidneys, he'd just eat the knife and use it to make himself stronger. He would also eat the ax you use to try to decapitate him. You're never safe from Bioterror Labeouf.
  19. Bioterror post up. And now we know what happened to Shia Lebeouf after Calamity.
  20. The surrounding servants shifted noticeably when Bioterror made his request, causing him to adopt an even more predatory grin. Eventually another portal opened up and a girl in chains was thrown out towards him. “I hope you can do without any condiments” Mary said. He glanced briefly at the girl, ending her life instantly before picking her up by one arm, body dangling limply beneath it and sticking the arm into his side. His flesh parted open acceptingly, slowly sucking more flesh in as he assimilated it. "Any questions left?” "Just the one, who do I talk to about accommodation?" Bioterror replied, gesturing at the growing mass of flesh on his back. "As you may notice I might need some unique requirements."
  21. Here is good, it's been a while since we actually had a good discussion on the subject.
  22. WoB is that it helps you make intuitive leaps, I say more intelligent for the sake of brevity but you're right that it's not quite that.
  23. You get some slight slowing of perception and a lot of reduced intelligence. You'd get even slower perception and reduced physical speed and intelligence.
  24. Given that Feruchemical steel still gives you bullettime I'm inclined to think that storing it would actually slow your processing speed.
  25. memories degrade but while in the coppermind they don't, that's why people use copperminds in the first place.
