  1. Gonna be hard to get a semi-accurate assessment without also knowing things like how the Plates weight is influenced. If you can leap 3x higher does that mean it gives you 3x strength or do you account for the weight of the Plate too which would make it a lot more?
  2. There's a difference between disagreeing and off-topic posting. You can post in an RP thread if you're actually RPing.
  3. The larger ship not the smaller one, I think it was mentioned towards the ends of Bands, lent my copy out so I don't have it to hand unfortunately.
  4. He might be able to change the color and stuck with Limelight so he could claim credit for killing Steelheart.
  5. That's kind of exactly my point, you can have the source of your powers from one place and the power from another. Heck AonDor literally has the name of Devotions Shardholder in it.
  6. *stares intently while reaching for something*
  7. I believe we have WoB somewhere that motivators are mildly affected by Epic weaknesses (Like a redeemed Epic I guess)
  8. That's what I said (albeit poorly) The cube didn't make the plane lighter but something does.
  9. What other ability would he be storing that would affect it?
  10. Probably, Hemalurgy among other things could give it pretty easily. But what's your point? Dakhor monks are still Selish. (To clarify I don't agree that they use awakening, only Nalthians have Breath, we have WoB on that)
  11. So I just realized something Calamity related.
  12. The adorbs! They're too powerful!
  13. Some alloys do at least, yeah. Though I've never liked that people call those side effects, yes it's not exactly the pure thing it is doing but it is the main thing that it does, we don't know how to make it do anything else.
  14. That just because the Dor is an inseparable combination of both powers and Aons draw on that power doesn't mean that AonDor can't be of Devotion. How a magic system is powered and how it originates are two separate issues. You can power an Awakened object with Stormlight, that doesn't mean that Awakening must secretly be some mix of Honor and Endowment.
  15. Voidus also approves.
  16. I am now trying to unfind her.
  17. Both the well and the pits are no more in era 2. I would be very surprised if a Shard couldn't come up with a way to stop aging if they felt so inclined, they can toss planets around on a whim, immortality isn't that big of a deal and it exists on multiple Shardworlds. Inquisitors very rarely were able to compound and I doubt they'd ever have been able to compound gold, TLR wanted them weaker than he was and they'd have to kill a Mistborn in order to get a spike with Allomantic gold which is a bit of a waste.
  18. I think the point is that the source of power is not necessarily the origin of the magic. In feruchemy the source of power is the feruchemist, not either Shard but the magic itself comes from the Shards. On Sel while the Dor is what powers all the magic it is possible that the origin is from the interaction of one particular Shard with the planet. Honors magic worked both before and after being Splintered so it's certainly not impossible.
  19. I was reading a different chapter over and over again just going 'Where is the Epic? I CAN'T FIND THE EPIC!' realized it was a new chapter release. >Facepalm
  20. Well you might lose your soul or something but it's all in the disclaimer.
  21. Given what we learn about twins always having identical powersets I think powers are set by your genetics, Calamity can give you power but what power it is specifically isn't controllable. So David and his dad have the same powers for genetic reasons as for why it's the same as Steelheart, chalk it up to amusing reversals of fate in alternate universes. In one universe his father is killed by Steelheart, in another he is Steelheart. So I guess I'm saying coincidence? Not the most satisfying answer I'm afraid.
  22. Well if they were from pre-Ascension then they definitely can't be feruchemists. Otherwise they'd be mistwraiths, which makes it pretty unlikely that their children would be any more feruchemists than any other Terris children.
  23. 1. doesn't really work because of cases where people were able to store 100%% (Or very nearly 100%) of something at a time, so either almost all feruchemists are already as strong as possible or strength doesn't effect store rate. There was a discussion a while ago about whether allomantic strength affects burn rate or if it increases the power without burning through more metals. I'm not entirely sure but I think it was that it affects burn rate.
  24. You can store perhaps 20% of your speed safely, assuming you stored similar amounts of mental speed and that they both slowed your perception by that same amount you'd be at about 64% your normal perception, so slightly faster than 2x actually.
  25. Thanks for the extra information! Brandon mentioned bits and pieces of it in the past but good to have a firm outline and possible release date.
