  1. Neverthere and Scribbler posts coming soon. Also some Salem stuff. I've just got to catch up on everything, haven't been following the threads as much lately
  2. The glass seems pretty reasonable as an improvement over existing technology. For Rainmakers PI it could go either way I'd say, I mean technically she doesn't have a body so there's nothing to actually burn the calories unless her powers consume some but I suppose you could say her mind needed it though. The dehydration would be harder to explain though, I mean as a cloud she's literally made of water and she's in an airtight container so it couldn't really go anywhere. Sounds good to me
  3. Ooor, we could make some allies. Who has those iron spikes we made from the last guild that tried warring with us? Nothing like an ironically made Koloss to win a guild war.
  4. So couldn't find much in Astoria for BT to get up to at the moment, you have any ideas @Edgedancer?
  5. Intangibility/Invulnerability he just couldn't kill so kind of null as you mentioned, for a healing factor I guess it depends how strong the healing factor is, a broken nose is not particularly life threatening to anyone so it'd be pretty equally low for a healer and a non-High Epic, maybe a few seconds shorter for the healer. If the healer is strong enough to recover from mortal injuries then he'd have a pretty substantially reduced timespan, maybe an hour at most if he like blew their head off and almost no time for a non-fatal injury to them. Will need to take a readthrough of Astoria to see what i could do with BT but open to suggestions.
  6. Something like a tournament arc probably, will see where things go. Not quite, it's more that he basically has the Metals power, but any time he exerts force it's always in pairs so he can't fly with it or anything, just crush stuff Under a minute, varying depending on how much damage he inflicted, if he managed to break a bone maybe a bit over a minute. Actually killing someone drastically increases the time, short of that he can get around 12 hours out of someone by drowning them till they're borderline dead then resuscitating them. Maybe a full day if he mutilated someone to the point they need to be on life support. Four day weekend so I shall endeavor to get something up for both if I can.
  7. So with how active Salem has been lately I'm going to be making a push to get some new story going, Salem will shortly be advised that the Sins of Salem are returning to town. Those who have won innumerable matches in Salems arena can be awarded one of 7 titles named after the 7 deadly sins (though actually only 6 are available, Sloth has been declared unobtainable, some say that's because Soulcaster is Sloth, others say it's because he would find a slothful arena champion boring and doesn't want to encourage it) Some seats are still available but three of the seven have been out of Salem and are on their way back. Without further ado: The seven sins of Salem Wrath Passive/Primary power – Rapid regeneration, heals extremely quickly, considered to be unkillable without his weakness or Soulcasters intervention in the Arena Secondary power – Opposing force creation (Can cause immense pressure on an object, area or person but this always generates an opposing force somewhere else on the object, this usually results in crushing anything this power touches) Tertiary power - ????????? Gluttony – Empty seat Pride – Showstopper (Unofficial/pending approval) Envy – Powerful pyromancer, Something of a cursed Epic, causes that which he desires to be incinerated uncontrollably. Has been heard to shout 'Riajuu explode!' upon seeing couples, then promptly blowing them up. This briefly led to the mistaken belief that his weakness was other people holding hands, some unfortunate people thought to use this to assassinate him. It is believed that what remains of these people is currently orbiting Saturn. Greed - Assumer, can assume the powers of an Epic for a period of time based on how close he has come to killing them, after killing an Epic completely he will retain their powers for 1 week. Lust – Empty seat Sloth – Soulcaster (Unofficial but has been declared an unfillable seat) More details to follow soon.
  8. Fine with me too, maybe would want to classify what exactly happens a bit more (eg. is it like a zombie where he just doesn't feel other injuries and only instant kills can stop him? Or is it an actual healing factor just one not strong enough to heal fatal wounds?) but other than that looks fine. On the intelligence thing it's always a bit of a difficult one for me because intelligent characters are very difficult to write, partially because obviously you have to be at least as intelligent as the character or know someone who is in order to accurately write their responses. But also because people sometimes take it the other way too much and assume that being smart makes you Sherlock Holmes. Which, while amusing, is not very realistic as a character. So I'm fine with smart characters, just keep it reasonable. An expert in a specific field, someone with good street sense who knows when to run, someone who is good at reading faces. One of these is fine, but Einstein-Newton-Mendeleev who has a photographic memory, instantly knows everything about the city and can read peoples minds based on which way they raised their eyebrow is not. I am however, very happy that Salem is picking up
  9. Loving it so far, the cinematography is awesome.
  10. Yeah I can't think of anything that an app would add over the mobile version of the site, which is already awesome. Other than taking up a lot of Chaos' time, which is already in short enough supply.
  11. Yeah just closing chrome/firefox/IE then starting it again, not the whole comp. If you hadn't done anything before it started working again then my guess would be something on your ISPs end, no idea what though
  12. Clear cache and restart your browser? Main fix if the issue is only affecting one device.
  13. Dungeon ni deai (Already mentioned, also known as DanMachi) - Fun and amusing dungeon crawling Death March (510 chapters and counting released for the WN) - One of my favorites, light hearted and fun for the most part, some great characters. And the translation is some of the best I've seen. Only Sense Online - Another VRMMORPG style game, though this time the MC isn't sucked into a game, they just play it. Overlord - An interesting one, the anime was a good adaption but the LN goes on for quite a while longer and explores it all a bit more. Arifureta - A bit heavier on the harem stuff than I like but good story, gets a bit grim at times though.
  14. Didn't he do that 3 personalities ago? Probably nothing, since Oregon will probably be destroyed by the time they can Now what they were planning on doing with it is another matter.
  15. Tagging this topic for spoilers, and just a reminder that if you want to post again before someone else has replied, editing your posts is preferred, not double/triple posting.
  16. It's a DreamMare? A situation we're simultaneously excited for and terrified by.
  17. They'd certainly need access to Investiture, which would be new for Elantrians but not necessarily the Dor itself, Stormlight would probably do the trick,
  18. Yeah, Inquisitors tended to live longer, not sure if we ever got an estimate on how long exactly. As for TLR, well Marsh had one bag of Atium and it kept him going for 300 years, pretty sure TLR was a long, long way off of hitting the limit And Marsh is good for 'a while' so not much to go on there but I'd say it's relatively likely that he'll either attain immortality through other means or secure a steady supply of Atium.
  19. Not anymore Used to be a shorthand approximation of how many posts you'd made I think? 5 dots was anyone who'd made over 1000 posts IIRC
  20. BZZZZT! "You lose again" Came the irritating voice. "How are you so bad at this? Can't you change your body into something with better fine motor skills?" "Shutup Sparkles." Bioterror growled back "I was in the middle of imploding all the veins in my body when you dropped by for this stupid game, excuse me if I'm still shaking a bit." "Pfft. You're a healer, you're fine by now. You just don't like losing." Brightdeath drawled back as she pulled the small plastic object out, wrapping it in a shell of light. "I don't like losing to someone who's cheating with their powers." Bioterror spat back. "Funnybone for $200" She said, ignoring his jibe completely. "Fine." He muttered, grabbing the small set of tweezers and carefully lifting the bone out, it was almost out when once again BZZZZT "And again." Brightdeath sighed, barely waiting a second before she began lifting it out herself. Bioterror narrowed his eyes at the Epic, sparing a moments hesitation and- A flash of light lit the room as Brightdeath vanished, reappearing a second later with a furious expression on her face. "It fell after you teleported." Bioterror stated, blank faced. "You lose this time too." The plastic game did not manage to survive the ensuing superpowered brawl. Neither did the house.
  21. I believe you mean of Dominion We have a paraphrased WoB that they are 'related to' Skai, which is very nearly but not outright confirmation still. So almost certainly but to my knowledge Brandon has never explicitly stated it. Also I'd say that like Seons the Skaze themselves are probably not Splinters, but they have a core that is (That Dhakor equivalent of an Aon presumably) In terms of whether an Elantrian could use their powers off world, the answer IIRC is yes but it would take some pretty significant work arounds, we do actually have a sort-of example: (SH spoilers)
  22. I think the most likely need for developing Hemalurgy will be as a deterrent, if the Southerners start extensively practicing it, along with their already far more advanced magitech in the medallions then the northerners might feel too threatened to not supplement their own forces with more Allomancy and Feruchemy through the use of Hemalurgy. Immoral? Sure, but civilizations have done plenty of immoral things before to save themselves. And some of those things are still being debated today as to whether or not we need them.
