  1. As anticipated as Doors of Stone is, I'm much happier that Rothfuss is finally starting to sort his life and be in a much more joyous position himself.
  2. I'm going to need to buy a Switch now, aren't I? Wasn't going to but daaaaaaaaaaamn.
  3. Still playing Days Gone, it's getting a little repetitive but the story is progressing and to be honest I just want it finished so I can move onto The Witcher 3. I used to play a little of it on my OG PS4 but because the fan was a small jet engine it totally put me off. Hoping I can invest the time now since everyone has hyped Witcher up so much.
  4. Watching Always Be My Maybe on Netflix and it's hilarious!
  5. Words of Radiance is such an absolute thrill!! Is this your first read-through?
  6. I've never had braces but I can imagine how uncomfortable they would be!
  7. “I had forgotten how much light there is in the world, till you gave it back to me.” ― Ursula K. Le Guin, A Wizard of Earthsea
  8. Sometimes I'm glad for the weekend because I get to do absolutely nothing, and that's fine. Time to recuperate and recover then back to the grind. It can feel like a constant Groundhog Day but at some point we just oughta stand up for ourselves and get going!
  9. White Sand volume 3 has been pushed to September 10, my birthday, in the UK so hopefully it's a present for me!
  10. I like the look of the Skyward series covers better than that awful US cover for Starsight.
  11. Seems it's been changed to my birthday, September 10th, on Amazon UK
  12. If you haven't read the other series then I recommend moving onto Mistborn whilst the series is still fresh. The first Mistborn trilogy is a truly inspiring fantasy story about a thieving crew looking to overthrow the Lord Ruler. The magic system involves ingesting metals for different powers and Sanderson has fun with this system and really grows the characters around this. Stormlight is an overwhelming high fantasy story and is Sandersons best writing however i advise starting with his earlier work, getting used to his writing and then moving forwards. That way you will see the tiny Cosmere connections. The stories can be lead separately as they have their own arcs but there is a large macro-story going on and you'll want to really be involved with Stormlight; the books are a grand undertaking! Throwing in some Arcanum stories, Warbreaker and White Sand; it'd be a good time to start a full read through!
  13. It's great to see the outlining and draft move up but I'm anxiously awaiting Wax & Wayne book 4 to appear
  14. Keanu Reeves certainly has the look but I agree that he's a bit weathered looking to play a younger role. Luke Pasqualino certainly has the looks.
  15. Sanderson has a good way of including a whole load of religious aspects and shaping them to be their own aspects within the Cosmere. He certainly draws on personal experience and, although some of his views I do not agree with, is pretty open with the concepts of deities.
  16. I think these are all answered with the same vague response: RAFO. He has a plan that concerns uniting all the magic systems and visiting the individual planets. I've always imagined his conversing with certain individuals akin to Jacob from Lost in that every interaction is not a coincidence and is instead part of a larger plan that we are unaware of at the time.
  17. I wonder if there will be a final battleground of sorts and if each planet would have a specific Cosmere purpose relating to the major arc.
  18. This is one of those theories that, no matter how many times I read it, I often wonder how I can read the books so many times and not even come up with a slither as impressive as this.
  19. Totally thought this was going to be a bookclub called Worldhoppers and now I'm both disappointed and impressed at the concept.
  20. There's split and part versions. Words of Radiance is rare to get in one volume (if anyone can link it in the UK, that'd be amazing) and Oathbringer parts 1 and 2 are out in August.
  21. I would adore a Way of Kings leather-bound edition but as others have said, it would probably have to be in parts. I got the 10th Anniversary UK edition for Mistborn, not leather-bound, and there's only so many variations of books you can have! I gave my sister the paperbacks once I bought those but the shelf doesn't look the same without the consistency!
  22. My sister, that's it. That's 100% conversion rate!
  23. Hopefully you've read it now! Love that series.
  24. Welcome! Looking forward to hear more theories from yourself
  25. Welcome! It'd be a fun game and I'm sure the idea has been tossed around!
