  1. "I think I'll just browse for a minute, thanks," Tesh said, stepping into the bakery. The man who had let her in disappeared into the back, and she deftly avoided thee others in the room, making her way towards a glass case, full of desserts.
  2. Alright, I'm usually not a fan of romance in books. But Sanderson does it so well. If Shallan got Adolin, who will Kaladin get? I had this thought in school a few weeks ago, and wanted to see if anyone agrees with me. Kaladin and Lyn. It's far from a perfect match, but I can see it happening. Anyone else?
  3. I'm so sorry. When people see you reading a WoT book, (tGH) and automatically assume it's by Sanderson. And then you have to say, "No, it's not. He wrote the last three books in the series. There's fourteen books, and this is only the second."
  4. Tesh quietly walked down the street, along the side of the road. It was a nice day, a great one for a picnic. Or maybe some window shopping. That was completely her intention until she passed a cozy little bakery nestled neatly between two other shops. There was a sale going on as well. Tesh saw a small group of people inside, milling about. And a strange shadow across the street. She tried to open the door, but it was locked. And so she knocked.
  5. When you realize you have eaten (...) six cookies today. When you're learning about mitosis in science, and all you can think of is the Reconers trilogy. When you're listening to someone who served their mission in Samoa, and you keep on thinking of it a Mokia. When the only reason you want to write a book report, is so you can write one on tWoK. It would be amazing.
  6. When you find out electrum is actually a real metal, and start going crazy. On the inside. I was in Social Studies.

So the ship is supposed to "No, clearly not".

      Huh. Weird ship.

  8. (Sorry for the double post). Just keep in mind Fablehaven was his first published series. They are books for middle grade readers too. I read them in third grade and loved them. I personally think his Byonders trilogy is best, though. I really really really liked them, and I just read them last year. I am actually working on his Five Kingdoms series right now. Hope I can actually read the second book before I completely forget about the first! (And I did feel a little responsible for sticking up for Mull, so sorry).
  9. I've actually been writing fiction since third grade. (With a horrible story called The Frog that had, like, twenty characters from other books. It's bad. Although I still have a copy. AKA I printed it out. It's eight pages). But now I'm working on my own universe/galaxy/thing and Sanderson's writing (and lectures)(yes, I'm a middle schooler who watches writing lectures in her free time)(I've only listened to the first 11. I listened to one or two an evening for a week or so. Then I discovered Writing Excuses. Haven't even finished season 1. I need to get around to that...) have really improved my writing. It actually sounds good now! But what I'm writing is working pretty well, although I don't get around to it much. Reading is my soul, so I can't just ignore it!
  10. I can name what order of Radiant each of their glyphs belongs to...
  11. (Is it weird that I know this)? The ugly lizard crab thing is Hoid's story had 17 legs. Yours has too few. But still, nice picture!
  12. Emoticons. Click or tap on the smiley face on the top bar. 20.
  13. Welcome to the Shard! Have a cookie*! (I'm out of upvotes). *disclaimer
  14. @Dwig Jigdens Alright, we'll get back to you within 24 hours.
  15. Counting By Sevens is an absolutely amazing book. Read it. If your like me and you like long lists of quotes form one person at a time, https://www.goodreads.com/work/quotes/19034797-counting-by-7s. And this: "Even when the dark comes crashing through, when you need a friend to carry you, when you're broken on the ground, you will be found." -Dear Evan Hansen (Best. Musical. Ever). "When the sharpest words wanna cut me down. I'm gonna send a flood, gonna drown them out. I am brave, I am bruised, I am who I'm meant to be, this is me." -The Greatest Showman (One of my favorite movies of all time). "You don't deserve a second chance. You still need a first." -Teshani Kholin (Let's just say, our RP can get REALLY depressing. And it was usually @Shadows4Silence).
  16. I'm probably going to start it once I finish Maximum Ride.
  17. It was 11 at night when I read that, and was trying soi hard not to sob, so I wouldn't get in trouble. I literally went into mourning. I wore a black jacket to school the next day.
  18. I actually own Theft of Swords, but I haven't started reading it. I'll probably start soon, though. I've heard that the third book makes you want to throw it across the room. (My friend, who is a Sanderfan but not on this site, said that's what she did. She was also the one who suggested them to me).
  19. Oooh, I just read the Rithmatist a few weeks ago, and I really, really enjoyed it. Have a cookie!
  20. that's really funny. And someone should tell him what we are doing on his own site.
  21. I gave up on that.
  22. Well, people putting their stuff on my desk at school. Arms, books, opening their binders onto my desk, etc. When people use improper grammar and spelling while texting. When I'm texting, I spell out OKAY. It's not that hard, people! It really bugs me when they don't even use a period. Or just one letter answers. K @Cel does it all the time, and it is really annoying. Beat up books. People think I'm over protective of my books. So they run off with them and hide them. A bend in the cover annoys me, and stuff like that. (But I like books that the edges of the paper is beginning to turn yellow). I mean, they take good care of their other belongings, but not books! If your phone screen cracks, it will bug you. If the cover of my book is bent, it bugs me! If someone gets something all over their shoes, it annoys them. If I get water on my book, it annoys me! (I also just don't like it when people steal my books). People who kick the back of my chair in school. People who read the first line of a book, then use that one line to decide whether or not they are going to finish the book. At least finish the first chapter! (That's what happened to the friend I gave tFE for Christmas. And I read her favorite series even though (I'll admit it) it's terrible. Like, super cliché, cheesy, and full of teenage romance. Which I hate). When people use "legit" in improper context. It stands for legitimate, not awesome! When people use about ten paper towels in the bathroom. Save the rainforests! I never use more than two. Tight clothes. No. Just no. Reasonably loose t-shirt, and bootcut jeans. No skinny jeans, or anything like that. *shiver* (This is a long list.) Long lists. This is the end of, book one of, Tesh's Lists of her Pet Peeves.
  23. At four today, I saw my first Marvel movie! It was Black Panther, and is really good. So, yay! And I started reading The Great Hunt, and took a big test today in English!
