  1. Probably someone who's searching for the SoH bladebearer by attacking random people. EDIT: After lynching BR, we're finishing the job on Jon. And after that, it would really be good if the Parshendi scanners could find at least one more Voidbringer for us; once we lynch him, there'll be a lot less reason to worry about a potential Parshendi backstab. By the way, @Drake Marshall does it make sense to agree that from this point, we'll try to use the lynch to keep attacks on Parshendi and attacks on Alethi (including, in both cases, those that don't result in deaths) roughly equal? (Of course, this wouldn't be binding in the endgame, or even once the last Voidbringer or last Son of Honor is eliminated, but until then.)
  2. Also, Occam's Razor suggests that if one of the kills was a highprince, it be the one whom we know to be capable of carrying out a kill. EDIT: Also, the thread title suggests that the character revealed (by dying) was killed by attempting to be a killer.
  3. He was lynched. If the deal had specified "lynched to death", that would be different, but it didn't, and we all had a pretty good suspicion that he was going to survive it. However, next cycle, we should definitely finish the job.
  4. The Wanderer smiled. It was good to be in a physical body again, and better yet to be in his own. Perhaps this really was the end of his journey. Seeing a loose piece of metal, he burned Iron, and Pulled it toward him. It had been a while since he'd been a Lurcher...or had it? His memory was fuzzy in some places. Perhaps it was a side effect of the time travel. That was one disadvantage of the Physical realm: He didn't get the answers to these questions as easily as in the Cognitive. Just then, he heard a voice in his mind. Behold: Elantris, the city of the gods. Had he been here before? He must have...it was one of the primary locations for these...adventures. Except adventures wasn't quite the right word, was it? There had been another, that fit far better... You must make haste down the mountain. Find your way to Kae, the eastern town. You will find someone there who can help... unless we are too late. Wyrn's wrath has been unleashed. Stop the Dakhor, and save this planet! Dakhor...channelers of the power of Dominion. He had once followed beliefs aligned with Dominion, hadn't he? Or something sort of similar, anyway. How had he changed his mind? It had been early in his journey, he remembered that. And that already makes over 200 words. Just a bit more of the Wanderer's backstory... Names were chosen in the sign-up thread, before getting alignments. Voting based on that makes no sense, so Alvron.
  5. Yeah...not sure why. Maybe I'm just trying to juggle too much at once; I doubt I'll be joining another SE for a while. Some people (such as me) like to consider everybody's strategy, not just their own.
  6. If we didn't intend to honor this (and refusing to honor it would have to be a group decision), we'd pretty much have to kill all the Parshendi, so the order wouldn't matter so much.
  7. The Wanderer shook his head. Why would he possibly want to steal a stick? (OOC: The point of these word counts is to make it easier for the GMs to tell if you've qualified for a GP, so once you reach 200 for the cycle you can stop counting.)
  8. Ah, I misunderstood. In which case, whoever it was would have been hit by the decay attack last cycle (i.e. it was sent the previous cycle)...which sort of makes sense, since that's when the other two did.
  9. No, it actually isn't; if you look at cycle 2 results (beginning of cycle 3), Orlok was not marked as attacked. Decay "attacks" are not marked as attacks until they actually kill.
  10. That doesn't really follow; of the two Alethi protection roles (guardsman and Highprince), only one has plate, and it's probably the rarer by far. Furthermore, if they were going to try to get you lynched, that would be all the more reason to hit someone else instead, since needing to lynch you twice would mean more time until the subterfuge was discovered. It seems much more plausible, if it was due to your offer, that this was because your Parshendi contact was in fact a Ghostblood (which would imply two Parshendi Ghostbloods, which I find far more likely than some others seem to think it is, or three if your contact was not Drake) or shared in in the doc and a Ghostblood saw it, and the Ghostbloods decided that a protective role would interfere with their plans. When the hit failed, they'd need a plan B.
