  1. Setting High in the Horneater Peaks, hotsprings bubble and hiss, emitting sulfurous fumes. Some spit bright mud in waves, while others steam over delicate natural formations. A few have been tampered by humankind, shaped in such a way that they are cool enough for humans to not burn themselves. One of them doesn’t bubble, or steam, or smell. It is a perpendicularity between realms, and it is closely guarded. A trail leads from the most accessible part of the pool toward a twisted tree, which barely survived the extreme heats. If one went left at the tree, then one would follow the short path down to a Horneater village, one that benefits from further heated pools. It isn’t large, but it isn’t small, and the townspeople are kind. They speak of Numuhukumakiaki'aialunamor, their rightful king, and they speak of the Radients returning, but they whisper of what you will find if you turn right at the tree instead of left. Up the winding path, crisscrossing over small wooden bridges and around mud pots, there are small signs. One boldly tells you that “No Hemalurgy” is allowed, another “Investiture Training”, and yet a third proclaims “Best Apple Crisp in the Cosmere!” The first, when one turns right at the tree, is large, and is carved in more than twenty different languages. “Welcome to Roshar! Waystop is 1/8 of a mile ahead – Food – Stormlight – Allomantic Metals – Clothing – Rooms for Rent or Use – Investiture Training (not Hemalurgy) – All Guilds Welcome – Clean Privies”. A tiny sign below it tacks on “must NOT be afraid of spiders” as an addendum. Up the path, over steaming sulfur pots and geologic marvels, sits Waystop. It’s a rambling stone one-story house surrounded by plants from every part of the Cosmere, some moving more freely than the wind warrants. The smells of baked goods and the days supper drift on the breeze, tantalizing anyone who happens to pass by. Spiders merrily spin webs in the corners and on anything that holds still for too long, and steam bubbles from the roof of a bathhouse. Welcome, Worldhopper, to Waystop. (Rooms and etc will be added as needed) Proprietors Yzabet Montegue (Yih-zah-bet Mawn-teh-gew) – HOSTESS and INSTRUCTOR Yzabet is the proprietress of Waystop and has run it for the past fifteen years. She is the cook, cleaning lady, gardener, investiture instructor, and general caretaker of the place. She keeps it all under control and uses the trained spiders that she breeds to make sure that everything is in order. Pallas Montegue (Palace Mawn-the-gew) – WORKING HAND Pallas helps his mother whenever she needs it, but can often be found reading in the library or creating the Cosmere’s first ever rock music. Long-Term Employees – Atticus – Security and Defense Contractor Mr. Amber – Chocolate Guru and Business Partner Current Visitors - Too many people for me to remember [PLEASE FORGIVE THE MESSY MAP. I stole it from the plans of an old folks home. Red is stuff that you can ignore (unless it is writing) green is trees, and blue are the hotsprings. Also marked in red are the outlines of the bathhouse and training grounds. Room prices are not yet listed, and neither is the price for Investiture training. Enjoy Waystop!]
  2. "I HAVE A BABY" Yzabet screamed, then disappeared into the Horneater Peaks perpendicularity.
  3. I getcha. I'll make a small side-thread for Yzabet's waystop for training and see if anybody is interested. Have we officially finished Era #1?
  4. I like the Era 0 thing. It makes sense to divide times from before we started 3rd person POV and afterwards. I know that we don't have much purpose (yet) for Era 2, but I have a thread that I might create while we figure out the plot and purpose. Yzabet runs a waystop/inn near the Horneater Peaks perpendicularity, and she is willing to teach anyone the basics of all Sanderson magic (except Hemalurgy), cooking, gardening, and breeding dangerous spiders. This could be an intro thread for some new characters (maybe teaching new people the basics of Role Play) but I doubt that I could balance most of the Alleyverse in the narrative.
  5. You're new sub-name thing (I don't know what they are called. Titles?) about the puppies is great! Are there any ways that Canada ISN'T greater than the U.S.?
  6. Yzabet stole a horse from a man selling horses to escaping NPC's and skedaddled to Bassopolis. They had a connection to the Roshar perpendicularity there, and it seemed like a good place to wait for all of this to settle down.
  7. Yzabet watched a streak of light above the city explode, decimating everything around it. The city caught on fire even more.
  8. Yzabet now watched from a nearby hilltop as the city was destroyed because no one in the RP was engaging her in <REDACTED>
  9. Yzabwt, from her position on the battlements on the wall, breathed in pure Stormlight. She collected every single gem she could and watched as Stormlight sparked to life in them. This would last her long enough to either buy her way back to Roshar, or to kill half of the city. Yzabet had filled a backpack full of gems (a bank disassociated with the Bank of Crysts had been full of Rosharan spheres) her aluminum bag (normal gems from a TUBA runner) and a few pieces of jewelry and ornate dinnerware (from a half-burned mansion). "Goodnight, Alleys. Goodnight, Worldspire. Goodnight, everyone. There is a life to live. All of the innocents have fled, and now we are just getting ourselves killed. TUBA cannot win this fight while they don't use Hemalurgy, but the DA has no right to take powers from people. I'll go. I don't like watching the looking side. But...." I will remember those who have been forgotten. I will listen to those who have been ignored. I will speak for them who have no voices. Life before death, strength before weakness, journey before destination. "I will watch you fall, and I will weep." Yzabet said quietly, and turned back. This was the time to say goodbye.
  10. However long ago it was when I last commented. Yzabet slashed Jael through the monster's neck - most of the Shardplate had been destroyed by the exploding gun - and Azrael's eyes burned. I will remember you, even if you were a foe. Yzabet promptly fled the city, skating to the nearest wall. Behind her, the city began to fall into ruins as the DA release their monsters.
  11. Do we have character lists/bios yet?
  12. There are some people who need to be removed or moved to a different section.
  13. Yzabet is keeping everything in a personal account for now. Thank you!!!
  14. "No thanks! Just keep the other soldiers off of my back!" Yzabet called. "Cookie dough once I kill this thing!" She turned back to Azrael.
  15. Jael, without Yzabet's command, formed a large shield. Yzabet dismissed her Shardplate - she would resummons it when she recovered from the healing - and threw herself up against Azrael, too close to Azrael for her sword to be efficient.
  16. Yzabet was bowled over backwards by the force of the explosion. For the second time in as many minutes, her vision went dark as part of her head was exploded away. She started running out of Stormlight part-way through the healing process, and managed to tear open the mangled aluminum bag. Sweet, cool Stormlight filled her, and Yzabet stood up shakily.
  17. I've got all day! I'll start on it right now.
  18. I have a lot of free time today! I could alphabetize it by creator's name, if that would help.
  19. Is there a more intuitive way to arrange this? We have 43 people, and it's kind of hard to find anyone.
  20. Jael formed into a shield, blocking the shot easily as Yzabet charged. She was on the offensive now, and wouldn't let herself be overcome quite so easily. She dismissed her armor, then summoned it again as a whole piece without crack or blemish. It took up a lot of Stormlight, but Yzabet still had her aluminum-lined bag. Yzabet slashed at the pistol, taking off the front six inches.
  21. Yzabet gasped, then breathed in more Stormlight to heal her wounds.. She wasn't quite running out, but better safe than sorry. "I listen to those who have been ignored. I remember those who have been forgotten. I speak for them who have no voices. You. Aren't. Those." I'm better than this. I'm better than this. It's just been a while since I fought another Shardbearer. I can do this. Yzabet threw herself under Azrael and stabbed her in the knee with Jael, then kicked upward.
