Well, since it could happen regardless of whether I'm killed...tonight I get to kill someone if I want. At this point, I don't know if I have a good target. I was only returned the alignment, nothing else. I'm assuming you mean Road, not Rath in your first comment about Temptation... Also, you're putting words in my mouth. I only said I had a N1 scan, I didn't say that was the only thing I was given (see above).

Well, that was unexpected. AND I'LL TELL YOU WHY. My role is called Metacognition. It gave me a N1 scan...which I used on Crimsn after the activity that happened D1...the result was returned as Eliminator. I was fairly tempted to claim during the vote, but decided not to since I thought it would just paint a target on either mine or Crimsn's back (or both)... So, I guess the scan result was a result of mechanics that I didn't expect. I'm trying to figure out how that would have happened. Either Road targeted me (seems rather unlikely since I was rather inactive at that point) or maybe Crimsn self-targeted? I guess the latter is possible if that was the mechanic Joe decided to use. ANYWAY, I guess I now have some people I can trust even if I'm super untrustworthy after my determined defense of Crimsn.

Hmmm, so here's the thing. I haven't done nearly the analysis on anyone else as I have on Crimsn...but I'm convinced enough on Crimsn being Eliminator that I'm willing to vote on Seventh here. Edit: Looks like Crimsn called me out on not actually voting in defense here right now as well...lol. Well, vote placed

Well, looks like someone beat me to it, but here's a list in reverse order of votes (since that's what Joe says is the order): Seventh (4) - Seventh, Elandera, tiny wilson, Sapphire Crimsn (6) - High Priest of Lord Tekiel, Kidpen, Xinoehp512, CadCom, Adavantos, Aranduensis, CadCom Arand (2) - Malliw772, Elandera, Metabardnition Alv (1) - Araris, tiny wilson CadCom (1) - Rath, Itiah, Kidpen Araris () - High Priest of Lord Tekiel, High Prist of Lord Tekiel (did this really happen twice?) Sapphire Elephant (1) - Furamirionind Xinoehp () - Crimsn Chanarach Rath () - Aranduensis Furamirionind (1) - NotASteelClone, Sapphire Elephant NotASteelClone () - Itiah, Seventh Saint Might be wrong on a few of those I guess. Btw, super late right now...if the Blazer game wasn't still going on, I'd be asleep already

I'm on the same page as Sixth here. I was not privy to any of these giant PM networks that seem to have occurred. In fact, it would be useful if everyone did note who they have cleared based on PMs. Although I mostly think so in a 'everyone should do so or no one' manner, since the sum of the knowledge will be far more useful to the village than any partial piece. People don't have to share why they've cleared someone, but especially since PMs are closed now, it would definitely be useful to get as much knowledge available to the Eliminators as possible. (if my constant bolding/greening of eliminators is annoying, let me know. But I am using it to confirm what side I'm referring to...since the overall rules of this game could result in confusion as normal terminology may come to the forefront on occasion.) Also, tiny, I had a more lengthy post written up earlier in response to your 'why am I fighting so hard to clear Crimsn' question, but the short answer is that we have a number of people utilizing another person's faulty logic to condemn someone who I don't think really deserves it. And given that it's faulty logic, it's not as useful for gaining information for the village as a normal lynch train would be as if you don't look into it enough, it can seem reasonable.

Hmmm, seems I need to argue a bit harder to try to clear Crimsn...since the net result of my last post has been two more votes against Crimsn...lol. OK, so here's a summary of Crimsn's activity that we can see. D1: A bit of RP plus a comment that we can't hard clear anyone until we kill Babaji Vote count + comment that elephant is confirmed good Some commentary on the current voting condition and starting to form some suspicions on Guest, while leaving open the idea that reklawdaoR is a spammer Shortly after vote for reklawdaoR to break a tie N1: No activity D2: CadCom notes that someone was supposed to attack Crimsn during N1 but Crimsn is still here therefore Crimsn must be an elim? Logic here, I guess is that Crimsn must be Beirst1928. Brief defense implying that if there was a third kill attempt, it must be due to Babaji HATEing someone...and commenting that the spammers likely wouldn't have attempted to kill 2 out of 3 of Jon, Road, and Crimsn. (I'm not sure if this was a misunderstanding of the accusation or something else. Given that Road was clearly targeted by an Eliminator, - at least I'd assume the spammers wouldn't target one of their own - that would imply that Crimsn thought that would be another Eliminator target.) OK, so this post is just a bit odd...but I don't think you can read spammer out of this. HPoLT notes a slight village read of Crimsn Metabardnition notes a slight elim read of Crimsn tiny wilson notes 'Crimsn has been sticking out to me lately' Kidpen notes that CadCom is basing a read off an attacker claiming that they were going for the attack. Seventh Saint asks for Crimsn to post to explain some of the confusion Adavantos notes "No real opinion" on Crimsn (among others) Adavantos notes what seems to be a village read on Crimsn due to pushing the Roadwalker (sorry, I keep bouncing back and forth between current alias and normal alias) lynch over guest (which would have been a lynch of a more powerful spammer) This is something I don't really get - unless the spammers were playing a huge gambit to clear Crimsn (push a lynch against a stronger spammer over a weaker one then kill the stronger spammer with the night kill) this isn't something I would expect an elim to do as a vote on Guest here would have been just as strong in a vacuum for clearing a spammer as a vote on Road would have been. Aranduensis notes that CadCom making an accusation against Crimsn like this would only result in suspicion against CadCom if Crimsn flips village. (This is a good point...I was hoping to hear more from CadCom as to where this information was coming from *Ninja Crimsn*...hadn't read through everything sufficiently until now to see that CadCom did say that he was the one who generated the kill action) CadCom defends the suspicion and fleshes out the theory. Also notes that Crimsn's comment on Babaji being active isn't necessarily true due to CadCom actually having a one-time kill action. The part that this argument seems to ignore is that you can make the same argument regarding Crimsn surviving the kill - just because an elim has an ability doesn't mean that the village doesn't have the same one. (I find this hole in CadCom's logic kind of odd...) CadCom drops vote from Crimsn to allow Arandeunsis to confirm an ability Arandeunsis votes on Crimsn Crimsn notes a way to confirm not being Beirst1928 - votes on xino asking someone to move vote Adavantos votes on Crimsn due to the same logic that Aranduensis used CadCom hops back on Crimsn vote Crimsn defends original decision not to role claim - notes a willingness to move vote to someone else more deserving Adavantos notes that it's more likely Crimsn was targeted by Vodyehi tiny wilson notes that there is at least one claimed village role that could protect Crimsn Adavantos notes that it's unlikely that a villager would protect Crimsn after D1 action xino votes on Crimsn due to CadCom's admission Elandera avoids Crimsn bandwagon...for now CadCom notes a willingness to give Crimsn the benefit of the doubt if more information comes to light Araris notes no read on Crimsn Crimsn notes a way to clear from being Vodyehi protected by having multiple people target - one with kill, one without (I understand the theory behind this, but as soon as this becomes a known thing, Vodyehi could easily interfere) Fura provides a slight village post toward Crimsn HPoLT votes on Crimsn asking for a role claim Crimsn claims role name (seems like a reasonable name for claimed ability) and does a little analysis on a few others (I believe this is the ninja post since I have two windows open right now) Whew, so basically, we have people voting on Crimsn because of some rather faulty logic right now.

OK, this is definitely the most active game I've been in so far. Actually kind of tough for me to keep up with the conversation as much as normal. Also, seems most people have removed their spam trolling from their posts, so I'll do the same (no more extreme 1337 speak from me). Right now it seems that Crimsn is the top target. I kind of get it a bit due to the votes from D1 (I was rather suspicious once the result of the lynch came through as well), but when you take into account the fact *ninja Adavantos* that both the bandwagons D1 were on spammers, a lot of the *ninja High Priest of Lord Tekiel* *ninja Sapphire Elephant* (see what I mean...holy crap it's tough to get a post in here) *another ninja here...I'm going to stop noting them and just hope my post makes sense* reason for people to be suspicious of Crimsn kind of goes away. Right now it kind of seems like CadCom is the leader for the Crimsn lynch based on knowing that Crimsn was targeted by an assassination role. I kind of understand the reasoning behind the conversation here, but it doesn't really hold weight without any proof. Adavantos, you seem to waffle back and forth pretty quickly today... 6 hours ago you seemed fairly convinced Crimsn was an Eliminator and then change to voting on Crimsn an hour ago based on the, relatively weak, CadCom argument. Right now I'm going to go with CadCom as my vote. I'm not sure at this point if CadCom is the one trying to cause the misdirection to Crimsn or is being set up by someone else, but I'm finding something off there.

A couple of quick thoughts right now to give my brain a break from work: Fifth seemed to have a few posts with Fura as the target. I agree with a lot of the logic Fifth threw out there, but it's tough to translate that to suspicion on Fura after Fifth was killed with the night kill. I know that's a big strategy of mine when I'm elim...find someone who is throwing some good suspicion on another villager and then use the night kill on them to try to emphasize that suspicion... Of course this really starts turning into some IKYK stuff at this point since everyone probably has the same idea...and then you can use that mindset against the village. SO, with Fura, I kind of want to go back to another full analysis. Devotary had at least one point that I feel ties to Fura a bit... Right now Devotary is among my top suspicions for elim. Basically, there's at least one post (I think two, sorry tough to grab quotes right now) where Devotary is tying various people to Fura...which could be an interesting way to pocket OR a way to try to pull suspicion off of Fura. Basically, either way, as an elim, tie someone to people who are at risk of getting lynched (or night killed) and you are able to pull suspicion away from the player. If they're elim, well that's an easy connection. If they're village, insta-pocket without really looking like you're pocketing. Also, I think a lot of people missed the post since it was after a cycle closed, but @ElendVenture made a comment about being confused. SO, I don't recall from when you signed up whether you mentioned you were experienced with the game of Mafia or not. Basically, SE encompasses a bunch of modified versions of the game, but most of them, including this one, involve a majority of the players being on the village side (Northern Aristocrat in this game). The goal of these people is to figure out who the eliminators are (Southern Scadrials in this game). The first post of the original thread here will explain the various adjustments to the rules that are included in the game. Right now, since it's still fairly early in the game, most people are doing their best to try to catch any slip that an eliminator might make, whether it be the tone of their post, potentially some information that eliminators might have that villagers wouldn't, or various potential contradictions in their posts. If you're on the elim team, they may be wondering where you are. You should have gotten a PM from Kidpen at the start of the game informing you of your role. If you were elim, this would have contained a link to whatever doc the elims are using. Hopefully this helps a bit. Would love to see what perspective you can bring to the game! If you are further confused, unfortunately PMs are closed for this game, so other players in the game can't really do much to help you out (other than posts like this in thread) but you can use your GM PM (the PM Kidpen initially sent you) to ask any game/rule-specific questions.

@Lumgol sorry I didn't see your response before you were eliminated. Maybe it is due to the fact that you're relatively new to SE (heck, I've only been playing for about 8? months myself), but the tone of your posts didn't sound so much like an actual person trying to fit into a new location, but as someone trying to lie about who/what they were. My wording may have been a bit off to relay that appropriately. Now, to the vote, someone had a better read on Lumgol than the rest of us (or Kidpen didn't count correctly) but there were 5 people voting and the count says 4.

Most of the way through D1 (sorry, haven't had quite as much time to catch up as I'd planned) - at this point, I definitely see why the votes are coming on Lumgol. It consistently seems like any of Lum's comments seem very much like someone trying to fit into a different culture. Nothing seems...real.

Well folks, first off, my apologies about my inactivity so far. I'll (hopefully) be able to be considerably more active now. Had a few things come up this week. Anyway, I haven't really read through the D1 or N1 cycle yet. I kind of did that on purpose to see if I could see anything from a different perspective from what everyone else was at the start of this cycle (I'll go back and read through everything after this). Early on, I understand the idea that it's definitely not villagey to claim a role that you don't have to start the game like that (well, when it's not a situation where you'd be protecting a strong village role). How are we so sure that Xino isn't the one lying here though? There's no way to verify Xino's words at this point since the medallion has since passed on. So if Lumgol was either mistaken (highly unlikely) or just not wanting to give out information, that still leaves Xino fairly clear. Normally in a situation like this where someone can come out with "HE'S LYING!", we have the benefit of seeing whether that person was lying after the fact and can follow up with a lynch if need be...not the case here. Just some quick thoughts.

Anniversary Game 5/Anonymous Game 4: One Final Blaze of Light
Rathmaskal replied to Seonid's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Well dang. That was a fun game. I find it quite entertaining when you have a group of players like that who you KNOW are on your team. I figured Mauve had to be someone quite experienced...fun playing with you Alvron. (and Cadcom, Mr Mafia, and Itiah) Also, for those of you who were dead and haven't looked at the ALL HAIL THE JOE CLOUD doc, I was Ambition 2.0. (since it wasn't noted in the write up) I had quite a lot of fun in that role...it was like a double disguise... anonymous account anonymized by the additional role. I'm assuming either Hoid or Khriss were Returned for the wincon? Oh, and out of curiosity, who was the original Scorpion? I know they weren't around too long, just curious.- 1226 replies

Hmmm, I guess if Joe's going to stab me in the back like that, I'll come clean. Joe, Drought, and I have been working together and I thought we'd reached the point where we'd just keep it together until the final three and then see what happens. I was the play caller the last couple rounds. Last round it was Drought and Joe attack I think I am here (see my post yesterday)....then I defended one of them. I was calling for an attack on Elandera this round (Drought, Joe, Elandera)...kind of overkill to use the full code at this point, but we haven't exactly had a chance to talk outside the thread obviously. So, I'm willing to switch sides if Joe's going to advocate for my death now. Drought, you haven't been involved in the conversation today, so I'm willing to keep working with you as well...won't be able to use the code anymore obviously, but you at least haven't tried to stab me in the back. (I knew it would come eventually, but dang...we were almost there)

Long Game 51: A Traitor in the Obligators
Rathmaskal replied to Straw's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Well played folks. I was close to figuring Mail out I think... Karn, in the mid game at least, was a much tougher nut to crack. Was a big fan of the fact that Snipexe accidentally created a great situation to lynch Itiah. Unfortunate that we had so many die to the filter...alas, such is life. Great job elims. Mail and Karn are getting a lot of credit, but I think Itiah should get a bit more credit for the fact that the only real pattern you can find with the conversions is the fact that they were both active. Curious if he had a third conversion planned (and if so, who it would have been) or was just going to hold onto the last bead of atium for survival purposes.
